Dance Blade takes it to a whole new level, even my first perception of vol 7 cover was a new girl and by only contemplating with facts, logic, and among other things I figured it out it was Kamito. Dusk Witch must be the one to taught Kamito to cross dress, it fits her nature. Oh in vol 5 he does cross dress again, though we don't get any detailed information of how he looked like. Considering he bypass the guards of the temple, church, or whatever your religion says, means he must have looked a girl.

If I have to guess ...I think from the bad guy( hell more or less) the only two that want kamito good or do something fro him are. Restia that is in that state now,we know that she let the fake use her for some kind of plan. And the Yandere because....well she just like this.Though I'm pretty sure that we end to see Kamito kill /fight the 5 spirit king for a reason or another.

I agree with you. She's mainly acting all this way is becuz of her family issues (her sis), after she decided to leave and made Claire unable to trust ppl so easily. And the fact that she progresses so slowly over that, doesnt help her case much.

And more importanly, like a lot of people said here(including me :D) Claire lose a lot of screen-time in the latter volumes to the point where everyone wonder if she is the heroine anymore and if you hate Claire that much, try reading the part where she saw Restia kiss Kamito, I guarantee that your fragile heart with be soothe.

Well, Shana isn't that bad compared to the rest in how she treats her object of affection though.

And while Saito in ZnT is an unfaithful jerk, you'd definitely get tired and cheat on the girl who's so violent towards you on almost every occasions. Seriously, she punishes Saito badly whenever he looks at the other girls with delusional eyes while she blushes in front of Waldo, the blond hair pretty boy dragon rider and the overly handsome pope. It's so unjustified.

I think Toradora's case is cute too even though I cheer for Minori and I am really pissed Taiga won (as expected).

The thing is, while these tsundere have undergone character development, I can't see the point of choosing them when there are way better alternative who love you and treat you nicer from the beginning.

Kamito's love interest is most likely Restia. Restia is quite possessive, Kamito stated during his time before at the Academy that Restia wouldn't even allow another female to come into arms reach. The blade dance is not over. Still I think 3 days to go.
But only about half of the teams are left.

Team inferno and team Sushin are probably the teams with the most stones.

The story begins with a flashback. The fire king was angered inexplicably and the mikos were working hard to appease him. A priestess dances for 3 days and 3 nights without resting while the mikos helping her taking shifts. They manage to stop the king, but not before he turns the people's livelihood, houses, and lives into ashes. But, the people are very grateful and not a single person blames the priestesses. But she asks why does he do this? The other mikos rudely cut her off telling her it's not her job to question the fire king but to serve him.

Coming back to the future, the priestess clutches her pendant as she remembers this. She didn't think she'd see the girl in her pendant again. A girl with bright red hair and fiery eyes.

is it really that suprising? i mean , Est can use her power over sword without Kamito consent ( even you guys who only read english translation have read through this in vol1) and goes attack others on her own before Kamito meet her. Talking about vol 1, Rinslet wolf can also attack Kamito in its wolf form and the military spirit can attack without master too and most wild spirit can work on their own too.

So summary:

Claire's sister Rubia reveals that she is in fact the imposter Ren Ashbell and that her new goal is to find the SIXTH priestess to serve the successor of dark spirit king. Of which Claire and Fianna are the leading candidates to become the holy priestess of darkness.

Chapter 1:
The group decides to rest up for a day after that scuffle with Nepentus Roa. Kamito finds Est in his bed in a bondage outfit. Upon which she starts whipping him sayin, "are you happy? Are you happy?". Turns out she got the idea from Claire's bedside reading, where a princess gets her naked bottom spanked by her butler. And she got the kit from Fianna's stash of suspicious things which included the animal costumes last time. He gets discovered by Claire and Fiana and Fianna admits that she would gladly join in if he only asked.

Claire's group gets a declaration of war from Sushin, another participating group. They decide to accept deeming a declination to be too shameful. But Fianna has wandered off. So they go out to find her to get a consensus.

Chapter 2:

Claire and Kamito go searching. Claire starts questioning Kamito about why he was able to use Ren Ashbells techniques. He comes up with some stupid excuse to brush it off but it doesn't work and she is even more suspicious. She has nothing to go on but her intuition tells her that Kamito and Ren Ashbell are related or the same person. Ths is because she is sure the current Ren is an imposter. Fianna interrupts saying of course that one is real, because Kamito is the real one. She promptly points out that Kamito has a penis and Ren does not. Therefore, they cant be the same. (ok maybe she said man instead of penis, but same thing).

She drags Kamito off in the confusion to her secret treehouse. She undresses into her bondage outfit and tells Kanito she gets it. He doesn't like being hit, he likes to spank his girls. And that she's open to what he wants. But too bad Kamitotalks hs way out of it leaving Fiana embarrassed. She tells him that te secret treehouse is really for her to practice in secret. She's trying to get her spirit to manifest itself as a an elemental waffe (is tat the romanization?)

Claire's waiting for them all alone and continues wondering about the Ren Ashbell problem. Eli's drops by and tells Claire that she has a plan to figure it out once and for all.

Jump over to the Sushin camp. The 4 fighters plus their royal princess. Turns out the princess has declared without consulting them because she wants to enforce justice. She feels it's her duty to evil, lecherous, and enemy of women, Kazehaya Kamito. Apparently, Kamito tricks pure maidens into depravity with his words, makes his girls sleep with him naked, or EVEN WORSE sleep with only knee socks on. And he rapes all the girls he defeats. The team quickly agrees to the fight.

I think Kamito needs to get his skills back and learn some new ones. No doubt ever since 3 years, it is a long time to study and analyze Kamito's weakness back then if he had one. I still can't believe the harem cannot figure out Kamito is the original Ashbell, what does Kamito got to do dress back up into his Miko outfit? Pretty sure he would look the same as he was 3 years ago, though he may taller and may need breasts implants to fit the age.

The one thing that is a mystery is why the Spirit Lords decided to kill their own? I am not believing the rumors for one second that the Spirit Lord of Darkness was a womanizer and all that sort of thing. It seems like the people were just covering up what the Spirit Lords did so the people wouldn't hate them or doubt. It goes by history, the victorious writes history while the one defeated don't get their history written.

Maybe the the Dark Spirit Lord was doing something that none of the other want which is to let humans and spirits coexist. Go in history and you can tell that any Monarch, King, Lord, Bishop, or whatever in history and they all had servants.

Chapter 3:
It's night and Elis's and Kamito are on watch. They remark that something is very wrong with the current blade dance. Too many teams were eliminated too early leading to everyone hiding inside their bases and afraid to come out, Nepentus Roa being allowed to enter despite not being a human, Restia being allowed to enter as a member of team inferno despite being a contract spirit are just a few examples.

In the.mean time, Ellis creates an opportunity to sneak up to Kamito by saying she is cold, but a wild fire spirit comes to save the day. Ellis proceeds to interview Kamito. Do you like marshmallows? Another thing is the Spirit Lords have a large amount of devoted servants and prefer to keep humans to serve them. The Dark Spirit Lord may have propose to set the humans free, no doubt the other Lords would disagree to a large extent. So far we gotten 3 chapters and gotten some good information. It seems that not everyone is like the harem, the Sushin believed in the story that the Dark Spirit Lord was a womanizer and since Kamito is a male they would obviously put those stories on him. Really you can only judge someone if you have met him or has facts concerning him, never heard on discrimination on sex type. Scratch that I have heard it before, in several civilizations.

Just read through vol 7, to be honest, when you guys have the child of Dark spirit king is Solomon, i personally think both theory is quite possible, but i have doubbt now that the Blade dance is created for the spirit kings and the rules change depend on them so why is the current one, as Sylphic said before, have many character which can be considered illegal, is it possible that the spirit king themselves allowed them to enter.

I became somewhat cynical over readers, namely how many would take for granted (and it’s not like I translated the series for them because I liked them or that I felt pity for them–in a somewhat tsundere like fashion). However, I would occasionally tell off readers at times when I feel that they stepped over the line, mainly because I’m somewhat idealistic in thinking that I can drill this into their heads.

Well you can see from your picture that there was two books. From the Logical stand point, Kamito wouldn't have two Diaries so that mark it out. I figured it out, because there was another picture that told their intentions. Claire, Rinslet, and Ellis were trying to find out a way to cheer up Kamito because he is a little depress since Est isn't with him during that volume until the end. They decided to get the references from an Erotic books, since they don't know how Kamito or any male feels. Strange Choice if you ask me, though at the end it did help. This picture gave out their intention and what were going on in their heads. Ops never mind, Soji already posted the real reason.

Thanks for the information sandhy88, though I like Restia and Kamito being together. I also like Est and Kamito as well, even the other girls maybe a Harem ending if possible. Though if I had to choose between two Spirits like Est and Restia it would be Est. Simply because her naivety and her adorable looks, her adorable looks outmatch Restia in my opinion. So it is a little than 2 years so there are plenty of room for the Novel to go on and have the author make Kamito love all the Girls. Agree with this. I'm considering this a True Harem at the moment along with DxD and Campione, because the authors seem to go out of their way to make an actual harem end seem the most likely.

I'd say it's fairly predictable. Girl meets Kamito, Kamito offhandedly steals her heart and soul forever, comedy ensues. lol

I'm glad to here that about the novel rankings. It seems like the Japanese might have passed through the whole tsundere phase. While I understand the appeal of the character type, a lot of stories I saw were essentially contests to see what perverted accident would happen, and how badly the girls could punish the eternally weak MC.

Campione instead has a mix of normal tsundere and very straight forward goudere (everything for the sake of the master/MC). And the female lead is a Sue who is actually written right. Instant Win.

DxD is pure, unadulterated dere-dere. From everyone. Even the "tsundere" is nicer than most of the "nice" girls in a traditional harem. Also, it has an Author-confirmed Harem End.

Blade Dance has the same characters as a normal harem series, like tsundere, temptress, loli, etc. However, the MC acts like the protag of an eroge. He's aggressive, assertive, confident, and a complete S. That alone makes it worth reading.

Reaper @ Eroge = Hentai game or 18 + so to speak . Normally they are read text and chose what to do when there is a choise to made. This kind of game have multiple route /ending. But from game to game can have pretty bad and dark ending.

It depends on your actions, so in short it is like a dating simulator and your actions affects the ending. It is like Witcher, but it is entirely about romance. May try it, first need permission from the girl sleeping on the bed. Kamito is a good Main Character. He is strong, though he is sometimes abuse by the harem, but he can stand on his own against them. We see this time and time again and I like this type of main Character. Just wished we gotten all the back story on Kamito.

Yeah pretty much, Kamito lived in orphanage trained for Assassins, afterwards the orphanage was discovered and destroyed. Kamito escaped with Restia, then the story picked up to the Blade Dance. Not much is known from the back story other than he met the Duskwitch, his encounter with the other girls history, and Restia not allowing him to touch any girls. I want to know the full thing, meaning what happened between when Kamito escaped and the Blade Dance. That would include his training and his meeting the Dusk Witch.

FYI, Infinite Stratos massacred the other title in number of sales/book at Japan before the author stopped writing it(well beside index, and haruhi). I doubt the three titles you mention has surpassed IS in sales/book. As bad as IS story has become, no one can't deny that it's an extremely popular series in Japan.

I think we are getting off topic, but like you said Infinite Stratos is very popular in Japan and sells there are higher than the 3 stories I mentioned. Though I believe the 3 stories will soon be there with it, I like reading Infinite Stratos based on the actions and comedy, not the Romance since there isn't much mutual love in it. I have the story of Infinite Stratos in my head already, when I compared it to the other stuff I read I prefer Campione!, High School DXD, and Blade Dance. Infinte Stratos sells sky rocket when the anime came out, it was pretty decent. When the anime adaptation on Blade Dance comes out (Highly likely an anime adaptation will come out, although not the top of sells it is popular), pretty sure it will sky rocket as well.

Than that is a no, Harem Romance is pretty decent in here but it also has great story. Many mysteries, and if you are into S&M than you will love the harem interaction with Kamito. Action is also great, comedy too. Though the Main Character is getting stronger and stronger later on, well not getting stronger but regains his strength that he lost before the Novel started out. I love reading it and wish to read more, though it has gotten me in trouble with Mura and Teh_Ping. Though I think already been apologetically enough, if not I will say I am sorry again. kuroishinigami, this Light Novel is worth reading in my opinion try it out. Baka-Tsuki has only 2 volumes translated, but those were enough to get me hooked.

It switches in and out with scenes being there in b/w serious moments to keep the story light hearted, bt from what I've read so far it seems to me like 60-40 in favor of Haremish

Well base on vol 1 and 2, I say 20 to 35 percent. Though what I heard from vol 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 it really focuses on combat, the mysteries, the past of the Main Character, and things in terms that can be said insanity. Trust me it is good. I prefer my light novels to have several things in them. Combat, Romance, Fantasy, and Comedy. If you like any of these together or even separately, I think you will enjoy your time reading it.

if i have to say than you will se a similar theme to the 1st few vol of TAMNI, which mean each vol focus on a girl, the harem antics pretty much use for Comedy part which only exist for a small in each vol but from vol4,5 onward the romance element cover over the harem element so compare to DxD and TAMNI, its more similar to TAMNI but not as large in scale or superior plan,twist and little heavier in harem element(compare a normal novel to Kamachi.exe is just wrong you know), so far up to vol 7 the plot is decent enough on its own with some mixed of darker element and the MC flashbacks about his past plus some twist later. Personally, i won't say it a Must-read by all cost type but rather a quite decent to read type. Well, thats too dpend on your taste but when you read this one, at least read up to vol 5 ,6 due to the first few vol is Extremely similar to Hidan no aria
