Yuufa didn't give a crap about Roan before, but appearently now she thinks of him as more than just a friend.


Roan is too thick headed to learn anything the Monk told him. He needs to be beat up real bad in order to understand.


We also see how possessive Judia is. Hot damn.




So aside of that, we see that we're pretty much in the same place, not much plot development...


I still stand by my theory that the monk / crusader / archer are the one and the same


a GM -- how else did she know the path that Roan was supposed to take? How was she supposed to know about Roan's problem with strenght?

the music box was with that SM queen's mother, and somehow Ma-chan accidentally ran into the house that two lived before in their hermit-like life, and got this music box. So now she has the INVINCIBLE MUSIC BOX!!! XD

Probably nothing new for most animesuki viewers.

I just hope the second set does not contain a different story with different characters......

episode 22 is quite neat I think we see more yaoi hint between Iruga and Keough :heh: and seems using poison is also hurting Iruga a lot :( I guess Judia is quite unfortunate, since Iruga obviously thinks more of Keough than her :p

the bandit trio makes a reappearance! and it seems good things happen to them too, each of the two guys having a beautiful dancer while the girl having two handsome bards, they sure enjoy themselves a lot :eyespin:

so the three onee-sans are indeed one being, I doubt she's a GM, she looks like some powerful mazuko like Baphomet and Dark Lord, her shadow resembles some long haired female(?), and in the next episode preview she appears beside Baphomet in her true form... hmm... what extremely high level famous monster hasn't been covered yet?

SM Queen is a name given to a certain character by some people here, but in the series, it's Zealotus...
Basically, it's because she looks like a dominatrix with her leather outfit and leather whip :heh:

I played Ragnarok Online mmorpg up until several months ago, then come across to this anime and I love it :) .

about the MVP: we will see more MVP I think:
Eddga, Orc Hero, Orc Lord, Phreeoni, Turtle General, Garm/Haiti, Stormy Knight (and there's definitely more than this since I missed the latest episodes of the RO :hmm: )

no, I mean the three beautiful onee-sans who guided Roan time and time, ie. the crusader, the archer and the monk. in this episode we see that they are actually different forms of one being, who has an eerie looking shadow, and in the preview for episode 23 she's shown beside Baphomet in her true form (but we only see that form from the back in the preview)

This series is getting better and better as it approaches it's climactic finale - it's getting harder and harder to wait for the next episode!
Of course they cruelly leave you speculating with "Goodbye" as the title for the next episode. Any speculation? Perhaps Yuufa says goodbye to Roan and decides to go with her brother? Or perhaps they mean goodbye to Zealotus or maybe Zephyrus? Argh! The Suspense is killing me!If there's a season two, I'll be quite happy. This has turned out to be a good anime in it's own right (at least in my opinion), but as someone who has played RO, it makes it even better.

4 episodes can be a lot, I've seen a lot of series with quick endings in 1-2 episodes. And if we get 26 right off first season, then there are 4 episodes left. Everything could end in the town that they are at right now. It would be though a change of pace compared to the rest, but it's still something possible.

Maya kicked ass on this episode. She was awesome. Telling Zealotus the things she did, it was cool. I felt respect.

Episode 22 was really good imho.

I particularly liked the conversation between Zealotus and Maya. Maya now is my second favorite character after Takius (or Catherine... which in a side note found it strange that she would have the same name as that white haired girl in the geffen tower--the one with the talking dog).

Second favorite part was the one with Roan and remembering the words of the "beautiful oneesans" in his life. Just who or WHAT exactly are they?? Someone with big hair obviously..and is friendly terms with Baphomet. Is she a demon? Or not, considering that she's trying to guide Roan. I don't know...

I wonder if there's anyone out there who can shed more light on the mysterious yet beautiful voyeur.

As for Takius showing up, it might be on the 23rd episode *prays, hopes* My only clue is that nutty wizard appearing and that staff hitting the ground...it looks very similar to the tail end of the staff used by Sages....

You know, I have to say that I sadly sort of have to agree with you. I really *want* to like Yuufa - she's the main girl, she's cute, and she's in love with the main guy. Generally speaking, I always tend to like the main girls in anime (even when a lot of other people don't). But, Yuufa really does need to grow up... a lot. She is such a needy girl, it's just unreal; she's desperate for male attention. She spends so much time dreaming about her brother, even though it's pretty clear to everyone else that he wants to kill her (or at least "bring her to the dark side").

Plus, with Roan, it's the classic case of "you never know what you had 'till it's gone". At the beginning of the show, whenever anyone questions their relationship, she always made it clear that they were "just childhood friends", much to Roan's dismay. Yet, at the end of Episode 21, when she asked Roan what their relationship was, she seemed devastated to hear him basically say "we're just childhood friends, right?" I feel sorry for Roan - how can he possibly be expected to divine the feelings of such a selfish wishy-washy child? I sort of feel that he shouldn't waste anymore time on her until she figures out what she wants, but on the other hand, I sort of admire the fact that he stays committed to protecting her, even though he thinks his feelings for her are entirely unrequited. It's almost painful to watch their relationship "devolve"...

There was a hope when she was confronted with her selfishness during her trial to become a priestess. For the rest of that episode you thought maybe, just maybe, she might have finally grown up. But, alas, it was too much to hope for - she's still the same child she always was, and didn't learn anything from her trial. In fact, she's become even more selfish and needy as the series went on.

Anyway, sadly enough, a part of me still is holding out hope for Yuufa x Roan, even though it's the entirely obvious plot. I partly expect some sort of dramatic moment when they both finally realize their feelings for one another, just before it's too late, thus snapping Yuufa out of her depressive delusional dreamworld, and saving the day. And sadly, a part of me would be happy if that's the way it turns out (even though it's entirely formulatic and stereotypical). A part of me just loves fairy tale endings. But, on the other hand, I can't help but be frustrated with Yuufa - stop being so selfish and chasing after the dreams of your past, and open your eyes to the world that is crumbling around you before it's too late!

episode 23 is awesome, although a bit wacky at times Roan suddenly got enlightened to the path of true warrior, and then admitted that the most important one he wanted to protect is Yuufa, that everything he had achieved so far was just for her? Errr... I guess he still has some slave complex left...

so the true identity of the three onee-sans is the legendary Witch who has corrupted the people in Comodo Island a long time ago by disguising herself as a Goddess. Also she works with Baphomet to lead Roan against Dark Lord... seems Baphomet is the grand force of Good in RO anime now :heh:

Oh, and her true form reminds me a LOT of Karla the Grey Witch in Record of Lodoss War. Also she gave Roan a kickass looking Demon Sword! I'm not sure what it is, maybe Misteltain or Talefing? http://s01.imagehost.org/0170/ro23_sword.jpg

Ma-chan's Poporing pet played some quite important role in this episode, saving both Zealotus AND Ma-chan from murderous rage. Zealotus sacrificed herself to save Ma-chan and got killed by Zephyrus, well, I don't feel for her anyway :p

So Yuufa finally went with Keough, great! But I'd say Roan should not be so sad over Yuufa's departure, he should go flirt with Takius, or better, the onee-san witch (I guess I'll call her that now :heh: ) About Yuufa and Keough... since Yuufa clearly has some big brother complex, I guess some incest may not be that surprising... Finally, the story gets interesting. It took them 23 eps. to get to the point, but hey, I only wasted a few good months or so following the fansub.

Yuufa, I definetly don't like. Not because she, for lack of a better term, 'dumped' Roan, but basically because she's a child. She may have became a priestess, but she's still a child. Roan, despite his faults-and his hand in pushing Yuufa to the arms of her 'brother', has actually (and finally) matured. I just hope it does't become some, "I'll rescue her and forgive her." bit.

Yuufa is obviously the weak link in the party, a spot that used to be passed back and forth between Takius and Roan. Despite her accension to priesthood, she's still the little girl in the flashbacks who yearns for attention from the authoritive male figures in her life. First it was Keough, then it was the 'Sin (can't remember his name at the moment), and then, ever since he became a Cruz and showed her he's actually got a pair, Roan. She's power hungry. Finally, the story gets interesting.

Actually, the series has gotten a bit too melodramatic for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like a story with depth and drama ( I watch FMA and we all know that is overloaded in each one) but it just seems every character has a whiney little problem. Even the bad guy (the one that won't leave Maya alone) is really messed up. I really am starting to hate Yuffa though with her continuous pining for her brother. He ADMITTED to her that he wanted to kill all of the humans (which she is and has been fighting to save) and she still goes back to him over and over.

It is good to see Roan finally coming to grips with things and coming back to reality a bit. Also, its good to see Maya have a bit of depth and a backbone. She doesn't just get harrassed while standing there crying. She stands up for herself and builds the human/monster bridge. I still like the series and can't wait to see how it wraps up, but I still wish it didn't turn out to be so much of a soap opera in the last few eps.

sigh, im stuck in episode 13 aoi-anime... should i watch the shinsen-subs version? i read from topic 1 to 11 and it seems that shinsen arent accurate on translating.. i dont care about the video quality, i only cared about the translation so i can understand everthing..

I love Zephyrus!!! I think Zephyrus should wipe everyone out and take over Dark Lord. He has already achieved the Truth after all, I don't see him working willingly under Dark Lord.

depends on how you call the "good side" I guess... I think they are definitely not on human's side, but then they are also not planning on taking over the world. Baphomet will happily slaughter any human being foolish enough to come into his sight I guess, and the Witch seems to enjoy manipulating people as her toys... not really the "good guys", but they won't start genocide neither... I think they are definitely using Roan to fight agaisnt Dark Lord for them, it seems there's some personal vendetta between Baphomet and Dark Lord. But then it's not that bad a thing to be used by them anyway, since they do help Roan now and then...

They also have Duet songs, very very powerfull songs that take both dancer AND bard to perform, they usually give great effects such as one gives +250% experience gained :love:

And lastly, to backtrack a bit, wasn't drake in the mob of monsters when they attacked alberta in episode... 17? was it not.

Zephyrus would be a good characters, it's a shame he isn't a well-developed as a bad guy. He sure is mentally insane, alright.. and the candy-cane licking only empowers the mental state of Zephyrus.
Yeah it was Drake in the mob in ep 17, but he seems suprisingly weaker thn Evil Druid, what's up with that? I mean, come on... Evil Druid is cool and all, but Drake is portrayed as Druid's subordinate... or something..

I've just finished watching all 14 episodes in a row, and all i can say is WOW!!!!

This is without a doubt one of the best anime ive ever seen, and im eagerly awaiting the last 2 episodes.

I dont have an issue on the brother and sister kissing, hell ive given my sister a kiss on a few occasions in a brotherly way. Its just what you do at certain times, its an expression of love *shrugs* guess im just more open mionded :)

I was gutted whenb Alice was killed by Maaya, and the episode where Maaya redeems Zealotus was just mind blowing.

maybe because it's near extinction? Personally I don't care too much... I ate dogmeat once, I ate rabbit meat once, I ate cat meat once, I ate dove meat and whale meat before too. I mean, they are already meat, and meat is meat, if you don't eat it, someone else will, or it will get thrown away. Better to end up in my stomach than in some garbage bin :heh: It's not like anyone's going out to kill other people's pets, and I'm pretty sure they were raised in farms for the sole purpose of meat supply like chickens and pigs and cows anyway (except the whale). I don't really think they taste anything special anyway.

Return to topic, I think the deviruchi part is much more disturbing than the keough/yuufa kiss part :p

Here's a great story line for it :)

It's fairly obviouse the Roan is going to save Yuufa in some sort of selfles act of love (this IS an anime show :P)

So in the next season they're all off adventuring when the legendry witch turns up again. As she says in the last 2 episodes, Roan interests her, and she did give him a rather evil looking shiney sword covered in her gore :)

So in the second season she decides she wants him and sets off pursuing him, trying to make him fall in love with her hehehe

Oddly i didnt see her as evil, and that creeps me a bit. I dont like my evil to be subtle, i like it overt wearing a big top hat, black coat carrying a bloody dagger.

Frankly i found her rather atractive and got slapped for commenting on how nice she looked hehehe

If Roan doesnt want her ill have her, Yuufa just gets on my nerves to much.

Thanks for ruining episode 25 for me. In future use the spoiler tags for stuff like this. Some of us dont want to know what happens till we actual;y watch it, its part of the fun. Now i know whats going to happen it wont be as fun to watch, so thanks alot.

Episode 26 will be out when it's ready. :) And it's one of the better endings that I've seen.

Roan and Yuufa married (or at least it looked that way with them wearing what looks like wedding rings) and all.

Don't mind me..I'm merely a newcomer inspired to get to finally register an account because of this certain anime.. ^^. I'm a hardcore Ragnarok fan (I'm a Yuufa worshipper as well. I know how some people don't care for her.. ><). Anyways I have some thoughts and questions about Episode 25. I've watched the raw version a whole lot.

It saddens me that Takius and Zephyru died the way they did. I still get a bit teary-eyed every time I watch that specific scene. I am hoping (although it's doubtful) that Takius will be ressurected in the final episode or possibly in season 2. Also, is it me or was there some sort of romantic relationship between these two in the past?


I wonder how they're using her body for manipulative doings. It's pretty much a fact that the real Yuufa had her soul (the gem) taken out of her. It will be very interesting to see how they fix what the Corrupted Yuufa Body (lol) did to Roan in episode 26.

I'm predicting that all 8 of the gems (Yuufa, Doppleganger, Moonlight Flower, Keough, Iruga, Maya (the ant), Orisis) will some how seal up Dark Lord once again with the help of Roan and the gang + Bapho!! Keough will some how become the good person from the past (his body is still being used.. I think its possible), and Yuufa will return to normal. I also think some how Maya will come back to the group as an Alchemist o.o.

Fairly sure she died; spiritually, no clue. Her staff came down out of the sky, and a magic circle appeared and blasted a huge rock that the Dark Lord (I suppose that this is the name of that final boss?) summoned to crush Roan and Yuufa. Takius (the blindfolded mage?) wasn't there when the group went off into the sunset (so to speak) in the end - just two kids that reminded me of younger versions of Roan and Yuufa... and a baby. :)

Sorry, but I'm really bad with names. It also doesn't help that I've been watching "Monster" and "Otogizoushi" mainly and saving "Ragnarok the Animation" for later... :)

-Scene of Yuufa(with Red Eyes)'s evil laugher
-Judia is running arround from the Dark Illusion mob(she is still using the big guns)
-Keough vs Iruga(with conversation)
-Conversation of Roan and Dark Yuufa(Also: dark yuufa release a purple energon knife from her hand)
-Keough got evolved into a knight+mutated spiderman+scorpian.(just extra claws/hands). Keough got stabbed by one of the katar piece. Iruga was nearly sliced in half by Keough's blade. Both fell down. Conversation. Keough got up. Dark Lord got a crystal out from Keough's body.
Keough and Iruga is officially game over(die).
-Judia sensed Iruga just died. She yelled "IRUGAAAAHHH"
-With the last Crystal in place, dark lord awaken.(evil laugher). Dark Lord punched up and purple laser flied on the sky.
-Dark Yufa with Purple Energon Knife "zombie" walked near Roan. She stabbed the knife into Roan. Roan hugged her. Dark Lord showed up.(image of town in darkness). Roan fell down. Voice of "good" Keough talked to Yufa. "Good" Keough said bye bye to Yufa. Yufa felt sorry(she became good again). Yufa hugged Roan and cried and kissed. A red crystal dropped from Roan's body(strangly Roan got fully healed).
Roan picked up his weapon and Yufa joined up and fight(lex+holy Cross).
The attack has no effect and makes Dark Lord alienized(power ranger's monster grow up.)
-Team Roguck run and escape from Kalzbu. They dropped a penny. The penny rolls off a cliff and wakes up Poring. Poring wakes up Mayaa(the obb is opened). A reflection image showed Zerlotus and Alice(conversation). Mayaa has to meet up Roan now.
-Back to the scene with R&Y vs Alienized DL.
-Mayaa found the crystal Room. She throws 2 bags of bombs but no crystal is broked. Bloody Knight popped from behind. Mayaa used Mam.(holy... how many bags of zennies) and killed Bloody K. and 7 crystals.
-Dark Lord felt the pain and Roan(shield-less) HCed it. Dark Lord summoned MS(R&Y tried to HL and HC Dark Lord but cancelled by a swipe). Mayaa and Judia joined up Roan& Yufa. Roan slashed up DL and Yufa(you guessed it right) used ME. Dark Lord is "gameover" and the island started to destroy. Roan picked up a lance.
-While Dark Lord is suffering, Baph comes back and destroys Dark Lord.
-Roan, Yufa, Mayaa, Judia now stand on top of the cliff watching GH.(relaxing music).
-Credit roll.....
Scene of the gangs visiting Keough & Iruga's Grave.(oh yeah, there are rings on Roan's hand and Yufa's hand.<--I guessed I don't need to explain here.)
Judia carried her babies(white hair) on her back.
Also, there were a female acolyte and a swordman on the scene.

After the big battle they are at the top of a cliff, and they are thinking about their friends that died and nobody is talking about Takius. I mean not even Maya, who felt her "dying" in ep 25.

Also, at the end we can see Keough and Iruga's graves...but where the hell is Takius? It looks like nobody even care about her...I find this really sad. What do you think about this? (yes she is my favorite character hehe)

She probably comes back in the next season, ressurected by some force or another.

I liked Takius, but i prefered the Legendry Witch, she was amazing. Even though she didnt get much time, she plays a key role, and i wouldnt be suprised to see her as a key person in the next season.

Her in her Crusader form is *drools* amazing *drools* I loved her sheild, shame Roan couldnt get her embossed shield, it looked so much better than the one he used.

And yes, i agree, ive had episode 25 and 26 ruined cause people either didnt bother with the spoiler tags, or didnt label which episode it was a spoiler for, which really sucks :(

They married at such a young age :S How old are they seventeen , eighteen maybe even 16. And the End was really cool, i hope we see Roan and Yuufa in the next season and Maya maybe as an alchemist.

But the thing also noticed that Takius wasn't be remembered by anyone, demensia maybe ;) But i think we see Maya, Roan and Yuufa in the next season with a new magician and another assasin in the group. And i think Yudia doens't have a big role in the new season since she has her childeren.

So there's much open space to fill up and the new rank Jobs are real cool if they introduce it in the new season. I'm REALLY looking forward to this just as many others here :D

Most definatly, its a bit slow at first, a lot of self pitying going on, but after a few episodes it takes off and it gets interesting.



OMFG!!!! how big was Judia's bleeding crossbow, that was an antitank crossbow wasnt it heheh

Also i was watching it closely, and i wouldn't count Takius as dead just as yet. I wouldnt be to suprised if she returns in the next season bigger, badder, and sexier

As for how do we know there'll be a second season, well, to be honest its more of a hope. I'd like to see a second season, as its a damn good piece of anime. That said though, i'll be happy with either OVA's or a movie. If they do a second season it had better be well thought out and planned, following up this season will be hard, though not impossible. Especially if they use the Legendry Witch and Baphomet as the key evils this time. That could add some good twists.

Depending on what happens in 26 (i havent looked at ANY spoilers yet :)) a second season might not be needed, it depends really on how much closure they give.

Its been happening for a while, not just here but in other threads aswell. I fully understand his point, someone totaly destroyed episode 25 for me by giving an almost blow by blow account, without putting it in a spoiler.

If a series is old, for example Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien im fine with not using spoilers, since almost everyone will have seen it. But in a current running series like this one its really bad form. We all do it from time to time in little lapses, me aswell, but posts like the one i was talking about ruin a complete episode, and this was posted before the episode was even released as a fansub, which made it even worse in my book.

Also another person on here decided not to use spoilers, their excuse was they didnt know how to. Which is total BS since there's a post right at the front of the forum 'How to use spoiler tags!'. So lame arsed excuses like that dont wash with me.

The answer is simple really, before you post reread your post and ask yourself if its going to ruin an episode for anyone if you dont put it in a spoiler. Just cause you've seen it as a raw doesnt mean everyone else has, i always wait for the fansub to be released, and then get it.

finished the series, and ep26 is quite great I'd say. Very good mix of action and plot conclusion. I have to say the writer of this series is quite daring... the plot and character development are quite unorthodoxical, and I have to say I'm pleased with that, although the details lack finesse.

For episode 26, the best moment for me is definitely when Ma-chan Mammonites the hell out of that crystal cave. Gold owns ALL I guess :heh: oh, andthe yaoi moments between Keough and Iruga are simply fantastic! Iruga you player, how dare you impregnate Judia when you already have Keough??!! :bash: And yes I'm anticipating a 2nd season, especially for the Witch :love: :love: :love:

Maybe this is a bit biased, since he was my favorite character and all, but i tought zephyrus death was simply beautifull.
He did not go "Zealotus" completely changing sides, instead retaining his madness, realized he was part of the game too.
But what really touched me, is how the kind master zephyrus showed, even for a moment from what takius said.
And then, the grand finale what truly made it beautifull, even after just getting overwhelmed by his old self, we see Zephyrus going out the way we learnt to love him, laughing madly while the explosion happens, music on the background, and takius screaming.
Laughing, just loveably laughing madly away like he always did.

I mean, that was beautifull, mad yet caring in the inside, kind of like myself. :heh:

Just watch the torrent page for it to show up. Most of the groups are currently focusing on the new stuff, so the older stuff has been put on the back burner for a bit. Just have a bit of paitence.

I liked the show, it ended fairly well aswell, though i agree the fight with the dark lord was a little short, but then bear in mind that the sword he was weilding was a special sword he was given for the purpose of sealing the dark lord.

Also, did anyone else notice that Takius isnt dead?

She just disapeared after breaking the DL's spell and making Roan remember what his sword was for. I think we'll be seeing her in the next season, unless they have a completely new line up of characters.

as for why DL didn't block their attack, when you have SpellBreak done on you, you can't move or do anything for a couple seconds... that is all the time Roan & co needed

She dispelled the DL's spell, and threw her staff. I doubt spirt forms can do that. I've also a sneaky suspicion on what she'll become in the next season, thats if they dont change the line up.

The more i think on it though i can see them doing that, having totaly new characters, not sure if thats good or not. I was just beginning to like Roan, and Yuufa is kind a sexy in her priestess garb.

Would of been nice if they could of used one of the Ragnarok gods though, especially for the last battle where Yuufa calls on 'god', i was a little disappointed at that, but oh well :)

I agree with Taliesin. I don't think she is dead. Otherwise she would have been mentionned by at least one the characters at the end (they are remembering their friends that died: keough, alice, zealotus, iruga)

I meant the name, calling it 'god' just showed lack of imagination i thought, which was stupid given the show.

Giving the god a name qould of made more sense i thought, for example if it was an AD&D setting id of said Yuufa was a preistess of either Pelor or Torm. Giving the god a name makes them more real. Or thats what i think anyway :)

Well there's a graphic in the game when you cast ME which shows an angelic figure. It's the same figure that showed up when Yuufa used it.

1st) lets think that once a spell is casted the staff is the one that executes it
2nd) lets jsut think in destiny


ok so wehn LOV strikes where takius and sephyrus are u dont see her with her staff.. but lets say in that last second (i mean while shes trying to not let sephyrus drop) she was holding the staff and casted Spell Breaker! ok.. so it didnt actually have time to execute so the staff goes up to space (well not that high but u get the point). So when DL is casting Meteoro storm the staff that had Spell Breaker touches the ground where he was casting.. wholah spell breaker executes. So every 1 does his part in the defeating DL thus destiny is furfiiled (dunno if i spelled that correctly)
now for the voice... lets just say Roan was high and he imagined it

ok.. this theory doesnt apply in game rules... cause even if u dont have a staff u can casts spells.. but we did see that the anime doesnt follow strickly game rules

The explosion from Zephyrus' lord of vermillion didn't happen when Yuufa and Roan were fighting Dark Lord because Maya felt that Takius was in trouble (or dead) in episode 25. Maya was still with Judia and Roan then. And Yuufa was still ebil

Also, when Zephyrus died, he became a crystal so Dark Lord could come back to life. So the LoV and the Dark Lord fight didn't happen at the same time.

I'll have to say it, Takkius was dead. I'm sure you've seen the same cliche moment in other animes where some item from another character does something to save the day and reasure the hero. And the person says something to bolster morale, even though they are dead. It would betray the final interaction between her and Zephyrus if she didn't die.

ok perhaps i didnt explain wel.. the part i say "at that last second she casted spell breaker" was to break the LOV but it was too late.. so the staff is "charged" with Spell breaker thus when it hits ground where the meteor storm is been cast it executes spell breaker

i still say is a very crazy theory that just came from the top of my head :P

that crystal out of her mouth is known as Cursed Ruby (forging item) and the big crystal was wel... in the serie her soul :S lol
