I see her betraying them eventually or being betrayed. I find the chances likely that in the end all of the longinus users will end up the DxD group. Th purpose of God making the longinuses was likely specifically to either protect the seal from anyone, even gods, who wish to release 666 or to kill 666 if it managed to escape. Even now we see the Longinus users slowly coming together as a group.

It could be something like the holy Longinuses start to influence the possessors and at first they don't know what's going on and start to be drawn to Ise, since the holy spear has already accepted Ise's dream over Cao Cao's and Cao Cao relies it and just goes with the flow. Since he is a male harem member he gets to get close to Ise.

Just my opinion, but I like the official version much better.

^ It IS official, it's just an early version. They probably also noticed she looked too much like Tamaki too, and gave her a bit of a makeover to her current incarnation, which looks far more refined... but it could also just be the low resolution of the sample. It doesn't look like a Miyama-zero version, but then again, hard to tell without seeing a higher res version. The eyes would give it away no problem.

As for Dulio getting an illustration, I would like it more if they were to have a combined cast image of the characters not yet illustrated up to now, so at least there is something to go by for those side individuals. While Michael was all fine and good to have in the anime, he might have looked considerably different if Miyama had illustrated him before then. At least with a character combo image, we can see what everyone who is of any relevance looks like.

Apart from that ... judging by the spoilers n0m@n posted, it seems that the first chapter is going to concentrate on some training with Sun Wukong and some 'lighter moments' of the novel and the rest of them are going to be more action based.

Euclid appears during Ise and Ross's date at Tokyo from nowhere. He came to invite Ross to the organisation.

-Yeah, he does show a liking to Rossweisse due to him seeing a resemblance between Ross and his sister. So he's obsessed with Grayfia.
-The reason why he chose Boosted Gear to make a replica off. Since his sister was taken by "red(Sirzechs)", he decided he should become "red(Sekiryuutei)" as well. He seriously is obsessed with Grayfia.
-His obsession was so great that he wanted to take Ross and eventually become his "sister".
-So his kidnapping of her was quite personal and it certainly seemed like he wanted ntr her. (I really wanted to say that word~)


Evil Dragons:
-The Evil Dragons that appeared in this volumes are Grendel, Ladon,Aži Dahāka.
-Ise fights Ladon. Though the later disappears afterwards.
-Ise and Sairaorg tag-team against Grendel. Grendel gets completely defeated and sealed so he won't return.
-Mass produced Evil Dragons are...dumb...just like Fafnir and the previous hosts of Hakuryuukou.


Sona's School:
-The main event occurred in that school.
-It gets assaulted by the terrorists.
-Saji shows his guts. Which eventually leads him to attain BB.


Ise's power-up:
-The power Ise showed in volume 16 is called Dividing Wyvern Fairly.
-He can also change the Wyvern to use "Boost" instead of "Divide" and mix them up.
-He now has access to Longinus Smasher which he used to defeat Euclid.


Others:
-Cao Cao himself doesn't appear but his Holy Spear does in order to help DxD out. Ise gets informed about him joining DxD from Azazel.
-Emperor Belial is a traitor and is linked with Rizevim. Though no one knows about it yet.
-Irina levels up as an Angel. She now has 4 wings.
-Next volume will be Irina main volume. Belial will most likely get involved since he has concerns something that took place in Ise's town and Irina+her parents has something to do with it.
-Xenovia wants to become the Student President hence she is studying hard. She has the highest score among her peer Devils where she scored the average of 90s. Damn she's smart.

Not really. Even though Ravel is Issei's manager who handles his daily life and schedule, the one who has been handling his money is Grayfia. Rose would just be taking over for Grayfia as Issei's accountant.

Thanks n0m@n for the spoilers, looks like volume 17 is going to be pretty interesting. Although, I don't know what to say about Ise becoming capable of using Longinus Smasher, just because he became capable of using Albion's stolen power without a risk to his life.

Even if it's not as powerful as the move that Ise used in Juggernaut Drive or during the 'combination move' with Great Red since Euclid survived after being hit by it.

I also thought that the confrontation between Euclid and Ise is going to last a little longer, unless he is going to be freed from the prison by Bellial, making the good guys realize that he is a traitor.

Saji attaining Balance Breaker is also a good thing and I wonder how powerful Irina is, in her '4 angel wings mode'.

The only remaining thing that I wonder about is ... how Xenovia actually managed to get such good grades in school :uhoh: :confused:

Well, since she did come up w/ a way to seal Trihexa maybe Qlipoth thinks she can reverse engineer the current seals placed by the biblical God to free it and maybe come up w/ a way to reseal it as insurance.

On another note since Malebolge is comprised of ten bolgia, each w/ a different theme, will Sajis BB gain techniques related to the ten ditches of the eighth circle of hell? He could possibly gain familiars or abilities that correspond w/ the Malebranche as well (Malacoda and co. anyone?). He'll be one hell of a technique type. The possibilities:D

it's obvious that it would get approved since all the girls fawning over issei are all capable women.

the legal wife will be Rias the heir to the gremory family and we all know how a capable girl she is having her new one shot kill skill

2nd will be asia with twilight healing and she has rassei and fafnir 2 dragons as familiars

the first part of the sentence is refering to irina since she's the main char in volume 18 and also his favorite character he mentions it somewhere in this topic

second part is about that rossweisse should've been the main heroine in vol 17 but he felt like saji took a part of the spotlight
(that saji bastard taking up space that should've been for rossweisse)

sadly it has already been mentioned in the novels that the gender bender gun that azazel invented has been sealed or destroyed since it transformed all the girls in the club into guys and it destroyed issei if i remember correctly also kiba as a girl was too much for issei to bear so it had to be sealed since we all know kiba would totally use it again to jump on issei at some point

of course everyone is getting a power up they felt anger and despair at themselves for not being able to stand side by side with issei and not being able to help him against these insane opponents
they already almost lost him once they won't let it happen again and in terms of combat potential issei would destroy saji it has been mentioned that issei gains the longinus smasher in vol 17 just one of those and saji's toast remember the jaberwocky?
even sirzech's team couldn't take it down yet issei took it out with one longinus smasher
yes he had great red's help but still just imagine the sheer power that attack has to pull that off

Hi friend, I understand your point of view, but we must remember that the name of this ARC is "The Legend of Oppai Dragon and his Lively Companions", for that reason the author is given the secondary characters power ups, although this made Issei lost his place as the "Central Pillar", BUT, from my point of view, if issei get a power up with his Dragon aura and NOT with the Armor, then he will be able do confront Rizevim Livan Lucifer, and returning to be "Central Pillar", the one most powerfull even without the armor, but this is just a future speculation, currently he is begining to activate the Longinus Smasher, and his Dragons to Divide, Reflect and Boost. As Draig Said, he is a Baby True Dragon.

Tbh I find it refreshing that it's the other characters as opposed to the main character, Ise, getting stronger through their new power ups but obviously Ise will get a power up that will out do the rest

It was the same case when Xenovia try to kill him with her sword in VOL16, Lilith stop it with a finger.

^ Lilith is created from the power that was stolen from Ophis. Rizevim confirmed that in volume 16, in one of his 'talking scenes'.

Regarding the Ise becoming less powerful then the other members of the group, I think some of you have a mistaken perspective.

Since to me Ise is still the strongest member of the Gremory group and neither of the groups new moves have surpassed him from that position - although Gasper's Balor mode might provide him with some difficulties.

The reason why Ise is also getting less flashy 'power ups' is also because of the fact that he is the strongest member of the Gremory group and him gaining too many power ups ... would break the story in some way, by either making the enemies too powerful for the other members of the group to do anything to them or by having the enemies that Ise would confront become too easy for him to defeat.

Furthermore it's not like Ise isn't gaining any power ups, since him unlocking the capability to use Longinus Smasher on his own, definitely rises his 'level'.

I think that volume 18 would be too early for the confrontation between Belial and Ise, since I doubt his traitor status is going to be revealed in a single volume.

As for when Ise will start using his mixed Great Red and Ophis powers ... it will probably happen after we receive some hints that Ise's body is becoming more stable, and at the moment we have no hints about that.

If I have to put a guess, I think that we might see some development in that regard in volume 20, since I think that some time must pass with Sun Wukong's training, before this matter is going to be brought up.

For the fight fight between Issei and Belial, i calculate an 85% of possibility, but we need more information to speculate the circumstances, but it will be great, "Demon Emperor against Dragon Emperor".

It won't be possible to fight him in a Rating Game though, since if he's a traitor the Devils definitely won't let him partake in a fight where he can survive and get healed by their medics. Unless he initiates a Rating Game challenge to them sometime soon (as it would take way too long to reach him by normal rules) as a 'friendly game', but why do that when he can kill them in a real battle? It'd also have to be before he is revealed to be affiliated with Rizevim.

From what we know so far I think it's safe to say Cao Cao will be joining the good guys. Vali probably won't betray DxD given his current nature; he's not the same guy from Vol4 who joined the Khaos Brigade. Kuroka and Le Fay will probably stay with both, though I could see them leaving Vali's team if/when he runs out of opponents to kill. Living at Ise's house and being a part of Vali's team; then again if they join Ise's peerage, that'd occur after they leave Vali's team. And to make that theory possible, he has to let them leave for a reason outside no more enemies to fight, since I doubt he will run out of enemies during the storyline.

Any evil team really, not including the Rating Games. I don't think the villains value power based on the games. I mean, Sona vs Rias match was full of limiters for the Gremory group.

In fact, Kuroka has 2 bishop pieces, BUT from her old master, the same master that she killed long time ago, after she killed him, she escape, leaving koneko alone, that was the moment when koneko begin to hate her sister.

What's important is their setting age. Rias is 18-19, Ross is 19-20. (not sure with Ross).

Ishibumi said she's about 18 years old. Rias is around the same age (late teens, so I would say 18 as well since she's a year older than Ise), not 100s of years old and changes her appearance like her mother does.

It'd be pretty cool if we get to witness Rias' birthday celebration in one of the future volumes. Though they might save that for a short story volume unless it ties to the plot somehow. Plus if it's in a short story volume, something can go hilariously wrong and it'll make it even more fun :heh:

Hopefully Ishibumi has plans for arcs after this one aside from Destruction God Shiva, as DxD is way too good to end anytime soon. That's what I'm worried about.

Dedicating an entire arc to Heaven would be nice, that could also be done for Greek and Norse mythology, as well as going deeper into Japanese Shinto and other mythologies. That would keep DxD running for quite a long time. But I have a feeling that creating an entire arc for one mythology is no easy task... that, and eventually the power levels will be impossible to keep up with (and we don't want that).

After being beaten by Ise because he was human Cao Cao has a change of heart he no longer wants to kill Ise, but now is the newest member of the Ise male harem.

Not only did Arthur ask Ise to do the contract with Le Fay if you read close he also gave his sister to Ise. Vali says if he needs them he will call for them but then tells them to to stay at Ise's house, so Arthur has taken his sister out of Vali's team and by leaving Kuroka there he has pretty much taken her out of the team himself.

And if you notice when a girl gets attached to Ise she will never leave.

And about Rose falling in love with Ise there wont be any problems because she is not a new girl in the house she knows the score. She knows she will not take over the #1 spot and she knows all the girls are in love with Ise, and since Rias and Ise are a couple now a lot of the drama has calmed down so knowing that she will find her spot within the group.

And as for how she will act at school she will be her same old self, she takes being a teacher to seriously to fawn over Ise in front of other students.

Hopefully Ishibumi has plans for arcs after this one aside from Destruction God Shiva, as DxD is way too good to end anytime soon. That's what I'm worried about.

Dedicating an entire arc to Heaven would be nice, that could also be done for Greek and Norse mythology, as well as going deeper into Japanese Shinto and other mythologies. That would keep DxD running for quite a long time. But I have a feeling that creating an entire arc for one mythology is no easy task... that, and eventually the power levels will be impossible to keep up with (and we don't want that).

Oh my, an arc where curry is the main dish. Gremory to India? :heh:

About all the minor mythologies, I don't think Ishibumi should make an arc about them. Well if he does, then at least tie it in to a major faction. I recall something about each faction having a god on their side (or at least an ultimate-class being). If those beings are who Belial will recruit for his treachery then I'm all for it.

I think Heaven is next up on the list (after Shiva at least) since Xenovia and Irina are heavily involved with them (at least Irina is). Maybe God from the Bible is still alive, just trapped somewhere, so next arc is retrieval arc? I don't know. All I'm hoping is for Ishibumi to mix things up because I didn't care much about vampire politics at all, only Valerie and Gasper's budding relationship. Compared to everything before it, it was kind of anti-climactic.

And if Issei becomes ultimate class before he gets promoted to 3rd year, what happens to the story now? I'd really like to see what happens in a Kuou Academy without the onee-sama, and Xenovia-kaichou. ;)

After Qlippoth, I think it would be Shiva's Arc.
Azazel and Son Wukong kinda hinted it in the meeting for the formation of DxD

Azazel said that a mythology is planning to mobilize their troops to defeat Qlippoth. (I'm guessing that's Shiva's)
Son Wukong said that DxD isn't just for defeating Qlippoth but for defeating other powers that may rise and disturb the peace in the future.


Goku should just stick to training Issei to SSJ. And maybe slap a pussy like he did with Bulma's. :D

He's not wrong, then again DxD is also seen as a power, and with a force predominantly made of demons I'm sure the Angels, Fallen Angels, and other mythologies are worried.
