You've gotta be kidding. I said it's a series of promos, meaning that it's multiple, short videos that are supposed to promote a pachinko machine.
To make it even more simple, we won't get more than the short 30 second videos that we've gotten.

I remember a couple of years back, at a Hidamari Sketch event, a fan would be randomly selected to make a wish, and that wish would happen. Then somebody was picked and that person wished for a 4th anime season, and look, it happened! I'm sorry I don't have a source; this is all from memory.
So basically, what if the same were to happen here? What if a fan "wished" for a Prism Nana anime? I realize that this is a bit of a stretch, but I'm still grappling with the truth that there are no plans for this anime that I personally think would be a great idea.

Well, that's basically a publicity stunt. It's not like they really just made the anime because a fan wished for it in particular -- they knew this was the wish of a lot of fans in the first place and it would have happened anyway.
But besides that, it's not that there are necessarily "no plans", just that there are no announced plans at the moment. Right now, Shaft has enough projects to keep busy anyway, but it could happen eventually if there's enough interest and demand.
They seem to have added a new video in the website. It has a few new things, but it's mostly stuff from the pilots. Also, when the video finishes the "news" section pops up. Too bad I can't read anyting from it. Does anybody know (or have a theory) about the new constellations? You know, the green and red birds and the blue stick that are basically the only new, important-looking thing. They might be made up for the show, but it would be interesing if the were real and meant something.

I did, and I'm still not sure what's going on. Is it a series, or an ad-campaign? From what I can tell, it's the latter.

neither, it is a pachinko game. the videos were pre-released before the game to hype it up.
Well, I don't know. Googling brings up a person asking the same, and I quote the answer:

or, in English, "A new animation project is starting!". They would not describe the series that way if it were solely a Pachinko series.
Google's translator seems to agree with his/her interpretation. Of course, we can't say it's gonna be an anime, but it sure sounds like more than pachinko.
(And, uh, has Comiket 84 already happened? If it did, it's strange my search for "prism nana comiket 84" hasn't bought even an "Aww, it actually was just pachinko" Just people talking about how it's gonna appear and then about how it was announced in comiket 82)

So far, the extent of the "new animation project" was just the seven PVs (that About text was written early on in the process), but that doesn't mean it can't become a full series at some point in the future.

So far? A commissioned animation project undertaken by Shaft to create seven music videos that promote the Prism Nana pachinko game. Whether it'll be more later, we don't yet know...

They were paid to make it in order to promote the pachinko game. If anything comes of it beyond that depends on whether there's interest and what the rightsholders want to do.

The staff also revealed three of the episode titles: "Yume Kanaetai...!? Kibō no Advance (First Part)" (I Want to Make Your Dream Come True...!? Advance of Hope), "Medal no Kuni no Halloween ~Noriko to Yōsei~" (Halloween in the Land of Medal ~Noriko and Fairy~), and "Hoshizora-hen" (Starry Sky Story).
Information correction: Most of those 7 OVA are only connected via character desogn, most likely each of them would have different world setting or character development and such.

I just come back from Prism Nana OVA 1 screening.
The world is running out of natural resources. Mankind has been working on a project to terraforming other planet, and schedule to launch "ADVANCE" — a spaceship for terraforming — on July 7th.
Itaru is a girl who adores space since a child; she believes space is humanity's future. Itaru has been building her own small rocket with a help from Asuka and Kotone for quite some times.
And the day of launching "ADVANCE" comes —.
The director is Miyamoto Yukihiro (Madoka Magica's series director), character design is Shiotsuki Kazuya (Koufuku Graffiti), storyboarded by Kamitsubo Ryouki (Hidamari Sketch), with Ito Yoshiaki (Hidamari Sketch) as a main animator.
There are two ending songs (for some reason) which they did it very nicely. When the ED begins in the anime, Daisy x Daisy enters the stage and start singing the ED live. Two songs are titled "Ryuusei Dreamer" and "Hana to Diamond".
After the mini concert by Daisy x Daisy, three main casts —Kitamura Eri, Imai Asami and Anzai Chika — entered the stage. Mimori Suzuko is at AFA Singapore so she can't join physically. She didn't left any video messages, instead, Mimori join the talk event (live video) with Skype from her hotel in Singapore.
The talk event was fun. They also reveal they have already recorded several OVAs already. Since the settings and story for each one is different, doing a record for different OVA on succession is a little hard since they have to completely forgot what they just did earlier. There's also a moment when Kitaeri asked the staff "Can I say it? About the one who make the OVA" before telling everyone "It's made by Madomagi's staff."
After the talk event, the event concluded with preview video for Prism Nana OVA 4 Hoshizora-Hen (directed, storyboarded, written by Numata Seiya) which will be about Hiiragi Mako and a chorus club (with Itaru, Asuka, Kotone and one other new character as club member). Ending song for this episode will be "Hoshizora Connection" (the song from PV.)
No details about release date, although they will do pre-screening for all volumes. The animation quality is in the same level as the PV, which is pretty surprising in itself. To be honest, it's everything I expected it to be. It was totally worth the 3 years wait for me.
There's no Shinbo's name in the credit, so I guess he's uninvolved. In the "making of" book they gave to all participants, the character design also said "At SHAFT we have a direction guide book, but this time we decided to not follow it." This must also be why the OVA is very different from their usual stuff.

Looks like the above information was right. New character for Hoshizora-hen, Riino will be voiced by Nanjo Yoshino. (The glasses girl in new key visual.) Another new girl, Hina will be voiced by Daisy x Daisy's MiKA. But it looks like they will only be in Hoshizora-hen (for the time being).
No new info about release date yet. Hoshizora-hen is scheduled to be (pre-)screened in Spring 2016.
Just watched OVA2 PV in C89 and its cresit does say the fifth character's seiyuu is Nanjou Yoshino

In term of content, the ova02 seem to show a story about how mako meet other magical girls, use magic and change herself, according to my prebeginner level of understanding on the Japanese audio, compare to ova01's PV about main characters watching a space shuttle launch and explode due to seemingly external force and then by reverse chronicle it describe main characters want to go to space and make rocket
In term of animation quality, both the PVs for ova01 and ova02 seem to have a few miss in drawing...? But overal speaking they are enjoying to watch. In ova02's PV there are quite a bit usage of camera language to reflect character's mind if I understanded correctly.
and in pv02 there are quite a bit amount of text that are written in Latin alphabet but I can't recognize what language they are in. For instance a phase say Stemen Zelt and i don't know what it is. The only line I read in English in the PV is something like: girl meet girl, and meet magic. (not sure about plural/exact wording).

Damn the pace that they are going I dont think we will even see this till 2017. A shame because I want to see how the rest of Shaft directs their episode.
