Synopsis:

Is that so? i'm not usually concerning myself with translation matters on animesuki, but I thought that as long as something wasn't licensed in an English speaking country, that was okay to say stuff like who translate and what website has it. I feel like I've seen it done quite a bit on other threads. Anyway, if it's not a common website and that no one can talk about it, then I'm afraid not a lot of peoples are going to read it.

A quick search on google doesn't give anything as well. That's a bit.... weird for a set up to me.

Seems like i'm not going to get any time soon peoples to talk with on that novel then.

I think Flame is Flamie's title given by Maou Pam just like "musician of the forest" for Clamberry, so AFAIK that's "Flamie", not "flame" x).

did you had access to the extra chapter from the end of the first first volume? The one with Pythie Frederica as an instructor. Because it's basically explaining how she became that way, with that goal, and started to use those items.

edit : Just checked, you don't have it in the english version, it's supposed to be between the last chapter and the epilogue of the first volume. That's a chapter you only get in the tokubetsu henshuuhan version, meaning that the translator only translated the normal volume.

Maybe I should translate it myself if the translator can't have access to it... But my english isn't that good :x.

That's the kind of scene you can't really show completely on visual media, so it will be censored. Judging from the trailer tho, they will still follow the events properly.

Btw, translator is really a beast, some hourse ago started with Limited Chapter 12 and he already is at 70% finished.

That's interesting lol. What would be joker then with that huge struggle to escape a closed area. Although there is a real prison break at the beginning of limited, I kind of feel like prison break should be kept for Jokers instead.

Well i'm not that surprised actually. I think probably people at Yen Press finish read Limited and they think we should licensed this!! This series have hell of a ride!

Mao Pam is the best character so far so it kinda shock to me due to what happen to her. Well i'm glad that crazy Marika Fukuroi character ressemble Mao Pam, although battle maniac but have a good heart.

I've never heard anyone say Maou Pam is the best character before. The strongest obviously yes. I think she lacks too much in development for this, although a short story afterwards kind of give a lot more informations about her life and personality.

And she shouldn't have felt that way. She was in no way responsible. All she did was acknowledge the strength of Flamie and Clamberry, nothing more.
Whoever thought it was okay to give them the high responsibility of an inspector status just because Pam acknowledged their strength (especially for Clamberry since she took a shortcut to graduate from the Juku, meaning that Pam had absolutely no way to acknowledge anything more than Clamberry's strength), whoever in the Medical Bureau validated Clamberry as being sane after the accident, whoever authorised a FA-series to stay with Clamberry (FA-B probably advocated that it felt guilty for the accident and wanted to accompany the poor Clamberry after that...) even though FA-Series mascots are usually allocated to important persons and Clambverry wasn't at all at that time, whoever (probably someone from the Bureau of human resources) thought when she was appointed as an inspector that it was convenient Clamberry already had a FA-Series with her and didn't appoint a new mascot to accompany Clamberry (doing this would have been enough to stop everything from happening) are the ones that should bear the responsability for all the blood spilled.

The problem of Pam was that she was far far too strong compared to anyone else, and that any of her words or action were one-sidedly taken by others as more meaningful as they were meant to be. Pam never said that Clamberry or Flamie were fit to be inspectors. Others just assumed that if Pam approves someone, then no one can disprove anything.

Decided to read the LN. I enjoyed the anime and started to read up where the anime left off. Children of Clamberry Arc was not bad and manged I to finish it, but the Magical Army Girl arc left me struggling to continue reading. The prisoner chapter just made me roll by eyes with how cheesy and mediocre it became. You could literally do a mad lib and replace magical girl with any generic anime trope, and it wouldn't change anything.

As someone who has read Unmarked, Restart and Limited (side stories included) in a span of 3 days, I can only say...

I'm honestly impressed with how much the writing improves after Vol 1, even if the formula stays the same. I did not expect this kind of ride, but I definetly don't regret it, even if it hits you hard sometimes.

Also, while it doesn't always succeed, I do appreciate how the series can catch you off guard more than once.

I thought for a while Pechika would turn out to be the traitor. Incidentally, she's one of my favorites so far in the whole novel.

Its not exactly perfect in storytelling and feeling (Limited felt like an american action movie/comic book way too often), but the pros far outweight the cons (The last part of Limited was brutal, beautiful and tragic at the same time), so I'm definetly sticking with it.

Going into Jokers now, and apparently, more Snow suffering...

And boy, now I get the hype behind that Queens image. I can't even imagine what is gonna go through Snow's head for that encounter after THAT happened. Or rather, I don't want to.

Meanwhile, Federica is back to being the plan meister during breaks from playing with Prism's hair. A damn good villain, which means I also want to punch her in the face.

I have noticed many movie and game references. Guess I simply wasn't expecting a story with magical girls to have such obvious western influences, but honestly, after reading so much, can't say its a bad thing. I did end up liking Limited a lot in the end, after all.

Puk is terrifying, but I think we have yet to see what Pfle is capable of when you push her buttons. For instance, the fact Puk seems to truly care for all her subjects is something she could capitalize on.

You mean Snow's second default weapon? :heh: But honestly, that was a cool fight, and showed very well the "getting the job done without becoming The Punisher" attitude Snow carries herself with.

Like those who are aware of what they do and accept it like Pythie.
Puk Puck is the opposite, she doesn't believes what she does is wrong and keeps on using people as resources to further her goals.
She doesn't feels the feelings you usually would feel when a person you care for is lost, hers is more like when a toy broke so she just goes and looks for another one.

I don't fully disagree, but maybe Puk will turn out to be more than that. This series has surprisd me with its characters before (already mentioned Pechika, but also, in Limited, I thought Wedin would be a backstabber from her initial impression), so I can't disregard that possibility. She IS twisted, of course, hard not to be with that power.

Dick move doesn't begin to describe it :frustrated: That said, I do find her blatant hair fetish amusing, and it adds to her character; quirks go a long way in making someone interesting and memorable. On that subject, I find very interesting she considered Cherry a true ideal magical girl, meaning for raw strenght really isn't priority one, but your ideals and knowing yourself well enough.

That's because contrary to expectations Pythie is truly a believer of hard workers and idealist magical girls but also is pretty grounded in the reality.

She said it herself, though her methods are questionable when not through direct interactions she can really be a pretty good mentor.

That's why she is so infatuated with Snow White, because she overturned her initial impression that Strength = Ideal Magical Girl which she thought to be in Cranberry

Its forest musician, not lyricist. But really, that was awesome, just like that initial reveal of Daisy's OP. All this small touches and connections between characters really help picturing the world it all takes place in.

I don't really like the fact that certain characters have to be Friendshipped to make the new characters shine.

Hell I don't really like the brain washing in general.

Don't worry, a lot of those new characters won't be returning after this volume, I bet :uhoh:

And we're officially half way into QUEENS. The true ride is about to begin...:uhoh:

-Despite being pure setup, the first half stays an enjoyable read due to character interactions, quirks, and more insight on the mistress of friendship.

-At first I thought Puk drew the biggest paralells with Grim Heart, but there might be some with how Snow used to be: a naive little child who thinks everything will be better by way of smiles and sprinkles. Just so happens her power makes it so by force. And, if no one is complaining, why think something is wrong? Basically, Puck is messed up, and I haven't forgotten Sachiko's hunch, so we probably haven't seen the worst of it.

-CQ is easily the best new girl; there's just something about how she acts, being a normal person and using logic without coming out as a boring machine. Also, its hard to not sympathize with a somewhat disgruntled and unfortunate employee.

-Did not see the twist with Bell coming :twitch: I've kinda been spoiled on her identity already, but I don't mind since I really should've seen it beforehand (the biggest clue has been in front of us all along) and the implications could be interesting.

-Cutie and Glassianne are more dead than Grace, and that's saying something. A shame, Cutie is very interesting.

-Very concerned with Pfle and Fal :upset: Death flags everywhere... come on, we can't lose two recurring characters.

-At least spare Mana, please... :upset:

The one time Snow gets to fight with an army on her side to protect someone... is when she's brainwashed by a monster, who, incidentally, acts like a naive little girl who uses friendship to solve everything.

Ok, we get it, grey and murky all the way :heh: Don't misunderstand, though, I'm liking this volume, but the series as a whole makes you want to... say stuff sometimes.

By the way, I just thought of a mindbreaker: Puk gets hit by Pukin's rapier (the piece Pythie has, at least) at the same time miss pervert gets a glimpse of Puk. Who controls who there? :eyespin:

Meanwhile, on the... good side, I guess, we, and Deluge, finally find out Pfle's role in the man-made MGs project, which seems to have been much more indirect than expected, being the one who put most of the money for it, and more importantly, we find out the first Lapis was the true mastermind behind it all. In other words, the two greatest manipulators in the series have officially joined forces. May be there be mercy for all those poor MGs about to be played hard.

I just saw the end of the last volume with a passage that I particularly liked. It was the only way to have this match.

The Forest Musician turned around, but she wasn’t staring at Ranyui. She still didn’t consider Ranyui her opponent. Instead, she saw someone beyond Ranyui. A girl in a white middle school uniform, jumping out through the darkness. Something flickered within the Forest Musician’s expression. Still, the White Magical Girl charged forward, wielding a Naginata, while the Forest Musician stepped forward to meet her in battle, but the White Magical Girl was much faster than her. Before the Forest Musician could even move a single step, she cleaved her Naginata, and the Forest Musician’s head came flying off.
