Plot Summary: While watching a movie, Gintoki comes upon a "movie thief," a figure in Japanese culture often depicted as a man with a video camera as a head. After scolding the movie thief for his actions, he finds himself warped into another world via the camera lens. In this world, 5 years have passed, and not only has the land of Edo changed into an apocalyptic wasteland, but Kagura has changed into a beautiful woman with no Chinese speech pattern, Shinpachi has turned into a cool samurai who is not a tsukkomi anymore, and the Gintoki of this time has gone missing, though he is assumed to be dead. Gintoki is determined to find out the truth of the deadly sickness that is ravaging Edo, and also to understand the feelings of Kagura and Shinpachi, who have been trying to deal with their leader's disappearance.
This was a pretty good watch. Not that heavy on the action but I was happy just to see the cast again :p

The comedy is great. Couldn't stop laughing in the first half of the movie. THough its quite heavy in the second half, nice to see it resolved quite nicely though. Too bad the music is not as good as in Benizakura's movie.

Though my suspension of disbelief is tested quite a few time here. For a truly idiot hero like Gin-san to got his body taken over just like that and he is helpless to do anything for five years? A shounen hero like him should be able to beat some nanomachine crap like that with just his spirit, no need for all this convoluted time travel plot in the first place.

'Waste of seiyuu' comment leading to tsundere Kagura is one of the best Gintama jokes.

That was absolutely amazing. Only Gintama can make me cry tears of laughter and sadness within 2 hours. There was so much awesomeness.

- That long ass segment about movie theft turning out to be part of the actual plot of the movie was genius

- Chinpo :heh: . Gintoki delivered all those touching speeches while looking like a dick :heh: :heh:
- Battosai Okita
- Joui x Shinsengumi alliance
- Super mayo bros Tosshi and Eli, with Eli being voice by motherfucking Akira Kamiya
- Otae on her deathbed. That was a very touching scene :(
- Gintoki vs Gintoki
- That Tama reveal!!
- The past Joui appearing to save the day during the final battle...
- Possible Kurokono Tasuke appearance?!
- And finally, the best joke of the movie that they saved for last...

Gintama will always successfully pull off making me burst with laughter, only to be sad moments later and then laugh again.
I should have known the beginning segment was actually part of the movie part. Damn was that fun anyway. XD

- Tsundere Gura was great.
- Gin's appearance disguise was good. Gengai is an ass for giving him that sort of appearance. But it is appropriate in the way only this series would make it. :heh:

- The colonel sanders scene, oh god those glorious idiots.
- Elizabeth. Talking? I can't comprehend it. But holy shit was Eli awesome, I wanted more carnage and blood!
- Guntank Tama was win with those blow dryer cannons. :heh:
- Definitely didn't expect Tama to be Time pirate though~
The disappearing scene was extremely hilarious yet touching. I actually thought Sa-chan's head went first, but it was just Tsukky's doing rofl.

Man those credits. Playing PRAY while showing moments from the entire anime series? Fucking glorious, absolutely loved Pray

That was a fun movie to say the least. And for so many reasons. The part towards the end where those 3 guys showed up to save the day is really making me want to marathon the seasons I missed though just to see who the hell they all are. I think I stopped watching at around season 2. So I got some catching up to do.

Awesome movie, was laughing really hard.

I wish Kagura got older with time in the anime/manga too, Gura was just beutifull.
I nearly died when I saw CHIN-san, they really know how to make fun of japanese terms (chinko, chinpo, chinchin = penis)
The gags were great ( notably the last one with Shinpachi :D ) and overall it was awesome.

I wish Kagura wore her white gintok-ish outfit throughout the movie. I also would have preferred the serious bad-ass Shinpachi who would sometimes lose his cool and regress back to his straight man routine. We'll most likely never see this version of them again :sad:
