Original creator (manga): Osamu Takahashi
Synopsis: The supernatural action story revolves around Shinichirō, a male student who gets a job as a housekeeper in order to pay his rent. While on the job, he accidentally releases a strange creature into the world, and he learns that his female employer named Sakuya Shimizu is the head of the Shimizu clan that hunts these creatures. Shinichirō cooperates with her to hunt down the monsters that are running loose.
Takahashi began the manga in Young Ace in its first volume of 2009. and Kadokawa Shoten will ship the fifth compiled volume in Japan on June 30.
The premise is something I've seen plenty of times before so I'm not expecting anything outstanding. I think this will turn innocent in terms of content but the manga readers told me it had mild nudity I've checked elsewhere. It's too bad my expectations were minimized because of that, it better have some redeeming values aside.
What in the?! This series is actually getting an anime 0_0? What kind of sorcery is this? The anime industry is full of surprises these days because this manga series doesn't really give the "let's give this a thumbs up" to earn the green-lit approval. Is this series popular enough to warrant one. Either way I wonder if this will be a means to garnish a bigger fanbase since many people don't seem to read this or take the plot seriously anyways.
Anyways, as someone who's reading and following the manga I sort of am interested to see if this will garnish my interests in this adaptation. The first bit of the manga is your mix of your typical romance ecchi comedy, but the actually story starts to pick up a little as time go on.
Can't wait to see how Tama and Suseri in action. All and all a sudden but interesting announcement. Can't wait to see where this goes.

Googling pictures of this title shows lot of uncensored tits, which means anime will be full of beams of light (unless ATX).
That is also why I question the reasoning behind green-lighting this series. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate it, it's good for its merits, but you probably won't get the most out of it since no one takes the story for this series seriously anyways. It's all about the "plots" in the overall context.
Oh well, if it does get censored all the more reasons to encourage BD promotion and sales, right?:eyespin:

honestly i don't question what gets greenlit anymore ever since i heard shinmai no testament got greenlit, though i am surprised this one did because it didn't seem all that popular, but hey i am not complaining it did
Great, another violent pettanko for a heroine...

Haha I'm surprised too, I remember reading this a long time ago and then just dropped it because, well it wasn't all that interesting and it wasn't really going anywhere...
But yeah weird choice...
Just how much ecchi does the anime industry need? Aren't people sick of seeing the same thing over and over?

there are lots of perverts in the world and as long as it sells it will be made.
The era of moe is nearly over and its been overrun by ecchi stuff now.

Ecchi has been long before the Moe Era began. And it doesn't seem to be dying anytime soon, unfortunately.

i think he means that its the ecchi popularity cycle not that it didn't exist heck moe was around before its popularity cycle began and eventually this cycle will die down as well replacing it with a cycle for shows like attack on titan probably,

Remember guys this manga started in the heyday of the ecchi spelunking vortex. This is like the good ol' oldschool stuff. You're gonna see it and it's gonna bring you back to your halcyon days where slides were hot in the summer and snow was a day off from school.

This is what I mean. Its like the boon or the norm or what's popular or things often see on that era or period of popularity.
And right now. Ecchi stuff like QB, Dxd, freezing or blatant stupid fan service are pretty prominent one way or another.
its different from the era of lucky star and stuff.
Its also different from the time period of eva and good old gainax.

Went and googled some images of the manga and wow... Looks bad. Just more ecchi idiocy. Kind of a shame because the artist is actually pretty decent. Welp. Skipping this.

He's been riding the high-brow fanservice quality lately with Yuushibu and Rail Wars but after skimming about the manga from Fapservice but haven't had the chance to read the actual manga, it seems it actually pack a bit of seriousness in its own as well, judging from the director's portfolio. Might give the series a shot and I'm actually expecting a high quantity (if not too overly excessive) of fanservice in the making.
Since they announced the staff this early as well the artist of the theme songs being revealed, it's likely it'll start airing next winter.

I don't have much of a problem with the director but I am definitely concerned about ARMS being the studio. I'm expecting a lot of fan service and butchering of the source material at least in latter half of the series.

The art looks average, it doesn't stand itself much from other similar shows besides turning the miko into what I assume to be one of the important characters. Not to mention I have heard the manga is very ecchi and ARMS has a tendency to have mediocre animation in their works so even if it boasts a rather entertaining story with a few unique elements, I just don't see it being anything special. I'll still eat up right there since I'll enjoy some of its inevitable romcom clichés! :heh:

What I mean is that late-night anime that airs late in the same first month as other series during the same season (be it January, April etc.) is pretty shocking (e.g unexpected) and a rather uncommon trend (especially in nowadays) and when it does, it usually had a rather rushed budget.

Hope they do this better than some posts seem to expect. Not a brilliant story to be sure, but there's definitely potential here. Will be interesting to see how this plays out, and how the cast handles their characters. Must say though, a part of me thought Sakuya would be best played by Kugimiya Rie. She's the very definition of a Shana clone.
The only problem I have with the art is Sakuya's hair. Nothing wrong with it per se, I just thought it would be a couple shades darker, more brownish rather than blonde.

I think you should be ready for white massacre by censors like they say on sankaku.
1. Here is http://cal.syoboi.jp/tid/3613/time anime schedule and anime don't have first emission on AT-X
2. On AT-X site http://www.at-x.com/program/detail/5911 anime dont have red adult warning "※視聴年齢制限あり※" like Kenzen Robo Daimidaler http://www.at-x.com/program/detail/5336
I know that first emission on AT-X do not guarantee that anime will be uncensored but don't having first emission on AT-X highly increase chances that anime will be censored.
I can already see this white beams.

Don't get too worried, I have watched Yuushibu and Rail Wars! and looked at some screenshots from Maken-ki! Two and I can conclude that ecchi anime can handle censorship pretty well just by hiding nudity with objects conveniently well, I'm pretty sure Arms can do the same thing in this anime but I doubt it.

From PV, the visual looks 'old' but the drawing is good. I can't say much about the animation for now.
I expected the Op song to sound more serious but this one is alright, I guess.
Also, It's good (Bad?) decision to put only one ecchi scences + no pantsu in the PV.

After reading manga up to vol.4, I really wonder how far the story can go with just 10 eps., manga vol.1-4 don't even have a suitable ending point.
Today, offical website update the PV of the first ep. (http://isuca.net/story/) and look like the story/event of anime version will be either original or get re-arranged a lot to suit 10eps. (I might be proven wrong)

I gotta be honest i followed the manga for a little bit and frankly nothing about that manga told me that it deserved an anime other then maybe it being supernatural. People i know spoke about it i thought why not. When i read the story i was heavily disappointed and thats fine by me.

Episode 1:
Hmm, I think BDS will remove some of the censors. But as for the first episode, I thought Sakuya's voice is annoying with a moderate OP song. MC has guts though for taking on that monster.
It didn't waste much time getting to the point of the premise and some bits of the episode had a few thrilling moments. And lol, a kiss already. Meh episode overall. I'm not expecting much out of this tbh.

Frankly it was nothing special. Everything it tries to do is already used in other similar anime series coming in the past. You have a main character drawn in the most basic way possible, had a changing encounter with the beautiful girl who's an expert at killing monsters and then develop an harem with her; sounds like a compelling premise isn't it? *sarcasm*
In this case, the protagonist, Shinichiro, is rather bland in every aspect. I can however commend him for actually trying his hardest to kill a demon that cuts electricity throughout the city in the midst of battle. Then there's Sakuya, whom I initially expected her to be gentle until I found out she's a rather annoying tsundere that beats up the MC when they first encounter in person, which isn't a good way to start a first-time discussion between them anyway.
The fights aren't in anyway unique, but I like how the camera panning effects are executed there. There's also some censorship which I can look past that, it's just that it needs to be a little toned down later while still being there. The kiss at the end was pretty much something already added early on, as it becomes a common trait for the animation companies to do the same way for more harem fantasy series soon to come (hello Unlimited Fafnir and World Break).
I liked the opening theme myself, but with the nighttime moments looking way too dark and a (mostly) not-so happy-go-lucky OST to get along with it, I just feel like the song doesn't clash with the animation sequence very well. Then I saw the ending, the motherfucking ENDING! I come here to see a rather generic animation sequence, however I totally didn't expect Yasuomi Umetsu to do the animation in that part, it was so intensely great words cannot be described even in the most normal manner. I feel like that the show can be worth watching just for that 10/10 ending at the moment, going to give a few episodes a try to see if there's anything remotely interesting right there.
