Synopsis:

"When I think about it, it was the same crossing as the one where I met 'him.'"
It was long before the white sister carrying many grimoires escaped the magic side and fell out of the sky that Shoukuhou Misaki first met Kamijou Touma.
Even now, Shoukuhou Misaki remembers the spiky haired boy.
At first, she thought it was just some new way of hitting on a girl
and then, he saw her wearing a swimsuit
and then, she hits him with her bag
and then, she experienced an indirect kiss
and finally
he saved her life.
This is one of the only few pieces of happy moments in her life that she can hold dear to.
The strongest mental esper [Mental Out]'s important memory.
The story which unfolds Shoukuhou Misaki's past begins now.

Damn. How can Haimura make a character we've known for over 30 volumes look so damn mysterious!?

i have feeling that Misaki started to drink milk due to Touma:heh:
P.S: Touma is becoming cooler and cooler with every single volume, is there any height of awesomeness that he can't attain???

Yup...he hated the world back then because they label him as bad luck kid, cursed child, thats why his father shipped him to academy city, so he could escape that fate...

But since he is still in middle school right now, which mean it is not long after transfer, which put him at delinguent phase, that if i dont mistaken aogami told, that touma in the past fight a lot, most likely because being picked on by kid..even in AC, because he is level 0 and have a bad luck
His hair color not black might be intentional...

No wonder this is an important memory for Misaki than. The days when Touma help her grow the plot, indeed without it there would of never been the present events. Without Touma causing Bribri to anger by looking a few cms down, which she introduced her during the railgun manga to him.

Would never caused Bribri to go out of control and try to ascend to level six. As well all know that is the true reason and not Kihara.

The problem isn't that she grew. The problem is that she grew SO MUCH in such a short period of time. I'm pretty sure that's the Tokiwadai uniform, so unless there is an elementary school with the same uniform, it had to have happened within some three years.

Although, truth be told, Haimura draws Shokuhou more modestly than Fuyukawa. The stylistic difference probably has a lot to do with it.

Yes but in present time, they are second years. A year before is a lot more likely as it fits the summary. Misaki would be a first year and Touma would be a third year.

As we have no indication of Misaki's age, we have no idea how long she has been in Tokiwadai...

The timescale would fit, setting aside her rapid growth. I wouldn't mind if it's a year or so, it's just that we'd have to seriously think about the possibility that Shokuhou's age isn't reflected in her grade level. That, or some physical experimentation to affect her physical age which links to Komoe's...size.

Now if THAT was the situation Kamijou saved her from, I'd be happy. It would also mean Komoe's position as a senior member in the harem is indisputable.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a perfectly legitimate thing to discuss in regards to fitting this volume's placement in the Index timeline.

One does not simply develop PLOT in such a short span of time after all.

There's no proof either way, but it would definitely be a good chance to nonchalantly introduce us to his character before we know who he is (assuming it's not the fetish king). It's unlikely that this volume will just be a tragic love story between Shokuhou and Kamijou (even if it mostly is). Plus, there's still that offhand comment pre-memory loss Kamijou-san dropped, mentioning Aogami in the same breath as Misaka when thinking about 'strong people'. Level 5 or not, I want to know what's up with that.

Do the novels actually state anywhere that they are second years though, because from the facts I just gave you from the Wikia, they should definitely be third years, even if it does seem like they are second years. Remember that during Index season I, they even had summer break. Railgun and Railgun S happen before Daihasesai and later arcs. They went to Liberal Arts city during Summer Break. Therefore, they started their third year of high school at the time they came back.

No, the reason I'm bringing this up, is that they were second years during the sisters arc. After that they went to liberal arts city for summer vacation and Touma was complaining that there was no way he was possibly going to finish his summer homework when he went on that date with Mikoto. They would have both went up a grade during said period of time.

Does this mean that Touma is now a 10th grade high school student? Or is it that Touma was a rising freshman? I.e. Touma was going to be a freshman and this is why his memory loss doesn't seem weird to that many of his friends in class, because only a few of them know him very well even if they were together in middle school. I'm confused about this point actually. Though the start dates of the Academic Year in AC could be different.

Yep. As for when NT11 takes place, as far as I know Tokiwadai has no elementary or high school branch(though I could be completely wrong here) so it has to take place during Misaki's first year, seeing as she's wearing a Tokiwadai uniform.. I'm guessing they meet around summer break?

Alright, for the people who are confused about the time frames and people's ages here is a clarification.

-Mikoto is 14 years old and is a 2nd year in middle school.
-Touma is 16 thus a 1st year in high school.
-In the railgun manga Mikoto introduces Misaki to Touma as her classmate now the Japanese are specific about whether someone is their senpai or kohai but since she used classmate it means they're in the same year so Misaki is also a second year.

As for the time frame of the novel currently Touma is near the end of his second year of high school and the novel seems to takes place at the beginning of his third year of middle school so that is at least a good year and half in the past giving a perfectly explainable growth spurt for Misaki during that time.

Also, notice Uiharu was wearing a really, really long dress in comparison to Saten and Kuroko so that Uiharu couldn't accidentally flip it. That attention to detail is fantastic! :heh: This makes me want to see Anime of all of his series eventually. At least I probably will see one for Blood Sign in any case which is the best part of this. Now that they changed the site I'm basically expecting something special for announcement 10. Same here, after seeing this PV, I was really excited. First, we get to see Othinus, Thor and Marian animated. But also we see other characters from Kamachi's works. It was so nice!
And after this PV, my hopes for a 3rd season for TAMNI got really high.
