Does Moroha's White Swordsman incarnation have any OP skills? It feels like his Black Mage's incarnation is far more OP compared to his weak sauce White Swordsman's incarnation.

Considering type of the novel, he should remember at least 1 OPed technique each volume. It wouldn't be surprising to learn that he has White techniques as well.

I don't know if he gets any "Imma rearrange the planet" type moves, but he can move so fast a bunch of living lightning bolts are statues to him and he gets his own version of that demon-slicing blade from Negima.

Well, he can use several high-ranked White abilities and (in anime, at least) he managed to execute Jinsokutsu after his first "awakening" and later Taimatsuu and Taihaku/Chinsei skills. He has an incredible amount of Prana, after all.

Maybe through her staff. Her stuff has Nagravitz inside it. Maybe that's why.
Moroha can use Yin Yang because he lived two lives as White and Black. As you know, he combine White Arts with Black Magic.
As I already spoke, my knowledge is limited by anime. Maybe if I read light novel I could tell you more.

But in the anime they just started using them without actually saying "Oh hey, some people have unique abilities and we call them Origin."
And that's one of the reasons why the LN is far better than the anime. They left so much information and developement that imo it felt so rushed.

Of the top of my head, there was the Origin thing, which in the LN was literally a pre-story blurb at the very beginning of the vol 2., the part where they actually show a normal mission with the Strikers, Moroha's whole thing with money, and about ninety percent of the series's snark.

Well, the only thing I can say to this is "Omoi dashite". Every single time you hear this, you know things will bat shit crazy :heh:.
And if we consider that the last entry mentions Vol.11 then is most likely that he could used other technique in latter volumes. Sometimes he is so broken :rolleyes:.

The newest chapter raised my opinion of her a little. I thought it'd take till the fortress battle or her duel with Sophie for her to start growing out of her useless tendencies, but credit where it's due, the girls a damn trooper.

Welp, seems like a good time to start reading this.
In regards to the anime, perhaps it was purposefully made bad, as a sort of foil for whatever else was showing at that time(Can't recall what else was showing at that time from the top of my head). It may be crazy to say such, but weirder strategies have been used in the passed, and besides, even infamy is a form of advertisement(case in fact, everyone in this thread, who want to read the story despite how bad the anime was).

I personally think it's worth taking a look for the improved fight scenes, the other improvements are just icing on the cake.

Can't remember this part in the anime so I'm surprised at her reaction after Moroha completed the spell. Guess seeing something like that that defeated her master who seemed virtually unbeatable would shock anyone to despair and tears. And Moroha even knows that that wouldn't kill him. Both are monsters on their own. Worse than Metaphysicals.

I am pretty happy that someone is finally translating this. The author for this is very fast writer and produce work constantly about 3-5 LN per year. Average about 4 per year. This year might have 22nd volume release if he can continue to write it. I cant wait to read volume 6 though.
He might seem super op now but just know there are way more op characters then he is but still he has not fully remember his past life yet. I cant wait for the translation to reach the part where they explain or drop some details on where did the metaphysical come from
I will say the 17 books looming on the (metaphorical) book shelf is intimidating, but I'm hoping that it proves worth it, volume 2 certainly did at least.

Does anyone know if there are any translations in any language of the LN that are up to date?? I would also be interested in reading any volume summaries. I've been searching on & off for the past couple years or so for any kind of volume summaries or translations and haven't had any luck. The only translation I've been able to find are of the first 2 volumes in English. I haven't had any luck finding anything after like the Seiken Tsukai no World Break anime. So it seems that volume 22 will indeed be the final volume, and he's currently working on it at 'full power' (https://twitter.com/shakkosan/status/981463325874663424) and apologises profusely for the delay.
In other news, v3c3 had a pleasant amount more detail than the anime (because of course it did), particularly what Moroha was getting at and doing with the 'night-time training'
I have to say, I'm almost glad the anime came out before this was translated. The massive difference in quality would have utterly ruined the anime.

Stopped at vol 10, but harem is basically Shizuno, Satsuki, Haruka (Momo-senpai), Leisha (russian girl) and Maya (little girl).
AJ marries Edward in the last volume.
I just saw the list on page 15 so is that list false excluding the names above?
Other girls are just interested in him, they're not into the harem.
Yay, volume 6 is completed.
Being the first volume with content the anime didn't adapt, it starts low but it gets very good. It features the French Division Head being a bothersome guy in his quest to save a certain person, but his methods are quite... bothersome. Won't try to spoil anything else because I don't like getting spoiled myself xD.
I would recommend though reading volume 5 too, there are quite the differences compared to the anime, like how Yuri is portrayed and the fight versus Lightning Empress.
Besides that scene in which Moroha is badly wounded and Angela-senpai heals him is more detailed .DD
Oof, it's been a while since the last comment (done by me xD) was posted.
So, as of now, 9 volumes are translated.
While volume 8 was like "here you go, read this wholesome volume about cute moments between Moroha and his waifus", volume 9 immediately continued what was vaguely mentioned at the end of volume 8. It was full of action, introducing new characters, both allies and enemies...
The series gets better and better, and it's sad to see that its popularity is very low.
It's definitely a good read. The anime really didn't do justice to the series, the more you read, the more you realize how the series was poorly portrayed.
The introduction of Charles the tsundere in vol. 6 made that arc very interesting and then the development in vol. 7 where Moroha was about to kill someone, blinded by rage, was quite refreshing to read.
Volume 8 was about Moroha being questioned by Maya about how he felt towards certain girls and each chapter was about a moment between him and the girl he was asked about. After that memory ended, he would give his answer.
At the end of the volume, that is, the epilogue, the story continues and introduces a new threat appearing in Japan.
Volume 9 is all about that threat as well as awesome fights and the preparation for that encounter.
That's the introduction I can give about every volume. It's better to find out everything by reading the story. If you're curious about it and have some time, give it a read .D

Shizaka? Unless a character named like that appears after volume 11, then I don't know who you're talking about.
Now the story is 50% translated (11 volumes are available in English) and keeps getting better and better.
The story so far (extremely condensed)
Moroha happened to meet Nelly (Shiroi Usako) while buying Christmas gifts for his waifus. But... was that meeting a mere coincidence or not?
Then, Gen (Isurugi Jin's younger brother) falls even deeper, however, at that moment, a tempting offer appears. An offer that will make him gain inhuman strength, but will he take it?
And who are the Six Wings? What is their objective? Check the volume to find out!
Moroha had to accompany Sophia to America. A powerful Metaphysical was wreaking havoc in America and was trying to kidnap Saviors from different branch offices. This is the volume where Arlene Highbury finally does a proper appearance in the story! And the American Division sure has interesting individuals too. Lastly, The Six Wings decided to attack Akane Academy while Moroha is in America... will Strikers and the rest of the students be able to deal with Flash Sword Leonard Van Percy? Volume 12 will tell us that and much more!!

I was upset that Shizuno Urushibara didn't have a child with the MC? Why do you guys think the author gave the sub herons the kids. Are Shizuno and the MC at least together?

I just know what I've read which is up to volume 11 and up to that point, 5 girls are part of his harem. And those girls for the moment are Shizuno, Satsuki, Haruka, Leshya and Maya. And probably Sophie if we count the development in volume 11.
The story in Japanese, yes, but the TL is still ongoing, and vol 12 is almost completed.
