He can still use the FPS game's store interface to buy ammo and weaponry with points.
He also finds out that the crystals gathered from monsters in this fantasy world can convert to his FPS currency. So as long as he either hunts monsters or can buy the crystals, he won't run out of ammo or firearms.

Pretty much.
Everything he summons works with video game logic, instead of real physics.
AA-12 can completely decimate heads of ogres, expunged shell cartridges disappear into nothing, and none of the firearms actually use gunpowder (and can be used in rain or under water with no problem).

well them modern fps games can display or have it invisible.

you get shot and take damage.... if you wait it out long enough you regenerate......

so it's like playing a game with HP and an Energy Shield or something that just recharges, except it's just HP and as long as it doesn't kill you.... regeneration lol

there be killcams to show who killed you and from where and maybe speccing them for a bit.
regenerating hp so you heal back to full... how fast depends on the game.
and other stuff like hit detection that will tell you if you hit someone even if you never knew they were hiding.

Things like Call of Duty or FPS with no health bar, when you get shot or damaged the screen will turn red or form cracks and the like, all you need to do is take cover and the screen will turn normal, indicating full health recovery.

The series does have a serious lack of heroine right now.
There are several named female characters, and one that kinda sorta has feelings for him, but she hardly ever shows up.

He tries to hide how he fights as much as possible, and only show to people he trusts.

When he's using it out of the dungeons, he uses a different identity and wears a mask.
He recently changed the mask from ballistic kevlar mask to Batman mask. :heh:
(so he can eat and drink while in that alter-ego)

Most people pity him for not having mana, because everyone in the world has mana and is capable of using magic, so he's considered a handicap
He mostly tries to stay incognito, but the explanation he ended up giving to ashley for his fps system was bloodline skills (unique type of skills) which is considered extremely rare and iirc the only people with a bloodline skill within the kingdom is the royal family

He sorts of accidentally flirts with the first girl whenever they are together and narration wise he has complimented her beauty quite a few times "everything she does, is elegant", but their respective jobs take them to very different places.


Personally, I found extremely fresh and enjoyable that he interacts with so many girls, but it's kept friendly / professional rather than them totally fawning over him based on qualities that any guy can have.

The MC has plenty of futuristic equipment like lazer guns and he might even have a jet pack?.... But they are all cost inefficient; so he doesn't go for it. It's part of the reason of why the mc searchs for plenty of ways to make money, and spends most of it on crystals.


- Main guy, I can't type his name :heh: Shubertz Powder? he discovered his call in life is making dungeon maps, when he realized he could he thought "this is the reason I was brought to this world". Basically he unlocks the map by diving into the dungeons, and then he can use the map interface to copy it into paper. The copy is 100% accurate because he places the hologram interface on top of the paper, zooms the map to be the same size of the paper and then traces the lines, which creates a more accurate map than anyone else can in that world. He can even do that outside the dungeon, unlike most guys that do maps

He decides to keep himself a D rank adventurer, because from C rank and on, you become eligible for mandatory quests given by the state; which would get in the way of his freedom and map making destiny :heh: Since his ability to map already gets too much attention, he decided to hide his combat ability as not to get dragged into official business. He compromised himself to work under a friend of the first girl in the guild making maps, but he didn't signed a contract with the guild, to keep the liberty of taking different jobs when he needs to. Even though the maps are signed under a different name, his identity still sort of got leaked (when in groups, he has to make copies of the map in the dungeon, and can be spotted then).

- Shaft "the black mask", his alterantive identity, he signed himself in the mercenary guild in a different town and is working under his merchant friend. The storage mode that he has can save things regardless of size and weight (the magical bags everyone use, can't); so he initally only wanted to help with transport; but after a large incident where his friend's life was at stake as well as his family, he destroyed a large bandit brigade and crushed the merchant that was pulling the strings. He becomes well known, the bad guys call him "monster", and in his entrance exam he incapacited a former A rank adventurer in an instant, the adventurer was pretty cool about it and became interested in the MC exploits, it's hinted that the adventurer will investigate records of the battles the MC is in, to gauge his ability. The MC decides to fight evil by using this identity, he feels really bad when he needs to kill, but will do so when necessary.

------- He got a "notice" of who brought him to this world (pretty much a god), which sort of stated that if he wants to live a nice life in the world, he should make a place for himself; this solves something that he was very troubled by and decides to do things to improve the world whenever he can -------


- First girl, Ashley. The apprentice guild monitor officer, saved from being killed and possibly raped by a goblin community; initially the people who order her wanted her to make sure of the MC's identity, to check if he was going to directly or indirectly cause problems to the kingdom; she quickly realized that "he is like a tourist" and the suspition was dropped :heh: The mc had his first discrimination experience in her company which actually made her grow more attached to him; she is extremely worried about the mc and constantly advices him not to do dangerous stuff, most of the people that know her well sort of realize that she is in love, but she herself doesn't undertand it.

- Elf recepcionist : Elder sister type, is known to tease Ashley when it comes to it, she noted how unusual was for Ashley to be a backer of a new adventurer (all new adventurers need reference), she is the first to be surprised when the mc is shown to be a no mana / manuke. It's hinted that later she develops professional respect for the MC (notices he puts a good effort even though he supposedly is having a hard time without mana). Absolutely no feelings here, though she might ship Ashley in the near future :heh:

- Girl 2 & 3 : B ranked adventurers, Miche the infighter cat girl and Frau the elf mage; they were hired to work with the MC when he was sent in a away mission and he requested to the guild "people of trust that won't pry and can keep a secret"; they are members of a respected all female guild named Sazanka. Miche is super curious and high spirited and Frau is level headed and respectful, the 3 of them were to dive into a newly discovered dungeon to map things out; when the MC skills hinted the nature of the dungeon as one of few floors of high complexety, the task was then changed to 'raid & conquer' with him as a radar and 6 members of Sazanka including the first 2 girls. The MC developed a pretty friendly working relationship with everybody and they all respect their skills (the girls battle formations showed their high experience and adaptability, and the MC skills and long range style proved to be quite useful). Since the MC was pretty helpful in the dungeon run, its sort of hinted that they will contact him later if they bump into something big, the girls also known that he hide his capabilities.

At one point the MC failed to book an inn, the girls allowed them into their guild tent. The mc was quite respectful and properly dodged any lucky sukebe event (some of the girls that didn't tavel with mc complained, though :heh:).

Totally no romance here , but I liked the work environment, specially with the MC trying to prevent Miche from noticing weird stuff, but Miche noticing and changing into full question mode :heh:

- Menea, the daughter of the merchant : She is a proper noble and a proper loli, and is getting fine education in the case she gets the chance to marry into a good family. She gets kidnapped as a follow up of a failed plan to kill her father due to his influence in the market. She, her maid and 4 other girls get kidnapped, stripped to their underwear and were to be sold to brothels when the MC raided the place in a very Metal Gear kind of way (no cardboard, sadly). From the girls, the most delicious ones were a pair of twin fox girls who are B rank adventurers, silver / golden in color; none of the girls fell for the MC, only Menea did :heh: and all of the girls ended up working with the merchant, and technically are more indebted to him, since the merchant is helping them rebuild their lives.

it won't last ... with this kind of environment the MC is exposed right now, it won't take long before the author makes it a harem ... unless said author has great concentration to avoid it :D

he has been soloing the Fang(or tusk whichever is preferred) Wolf dungeon and only reached the 21st floor (iirc)

The MC developed a pretty friendly working relationship with everybody and they all respect their skills (the girls battle formations showed their high experience and adaptability, and the MC skills and long range style proved to be quite useful). Since the MC was pretty helpful in the dungeon run, its sort of hinted that they will contact him later if they bump into something big, the girls also known that he hide his capabilities.

At one point the MC failed to book an inn, the girls allowed them into their guild tent. The mc was quite respectful and properly dodged any lucky sukebe event (some of the girls that didn't tavel with mc complained, though :heh:).

Totally no romance here , but I liked the work environment, specially with the MC trying to prevent Miche from noticing weird stuff, but Miche noticing and changing into full question mode :heh:

- Menea, the daughter of the merchant : She is a proper noble and a proper loli, and is getting fine education in the case she gets the chance to marry into a good family. She gets kidnapped as a follow up of a failed plan to kill her father due to his influence in the market. She, her maid and 4 other girls get kidnapped, stripped to their underwear and were to be sold to brothels when the MC raided the place in a very Metal Gear kind of way (no cardboard, sadly). From the girls, the most delicious ones were a pair of twin fox girls who are B rank adventurers, silver / golden in color; none of the girls fell for the MC, only Menea did :heh: and all of the girls ended up working with the merchant, and technically are more indebted to him, since the merchant is helping them rebuild their lives.

He sorts of accidentally flirts with the first girl whenever they are together and narration wise he has complimented her beauty quite a few times "everything she does, is elegant", but their respective jobs take them to very different places.


Personally, I found extremely fresh and enjoyable that he interacts with so many girls, but it's kept friendly / professional rather than them totally fawning over him based on qualities that any guy can have.

The MC has plenty of futuristic equipment like lazer guns and he might even have a jet pack?.... But they are all cost inefficient; so he doesn't go for it. It's part of the reason of why the mc searchs for plenty of ways to make money, and spends most of it on crystals.


- Main guy, I can't type his name :heh: Shubertz Powder? he discovered his call in life is making dungeon maps, when he realized he could he thought "this is the reason I was brought to this world". Basically he unlocks the map by diving into the dungeons, and then he can use the map interface to copy it into paper. The copy is 100% accurate because he places the hologram interface on top of the paper, zooms the map to be the same size of the paper and then traces the lines, which creates a more accurate map than anyone else can in that world. He can even do that outside the dungeon, unlike most guys that do maps

He decides to keep himself a D rank adventurer, because from C rank and on, you become eligible for mandatory quests given by the state; which would get in the way of his freedom and map making destiny :heh: Since his ability to map already gets too much attention, he decided to hide his combat ability as not to get dragged into official business. He compromised himself to work under a friend of the first girl in the guild making maps, but he didn't signed a contract with the guild, to keep the liberty of taking different jobs when he needs to. Even though the maps are signed under a different name, his identity still sort of got leaked (when in groups, he has to make copies of the map in the dungeon, and can be spotted then).

- Shaft "the black mask", his alterantive identity, he signed himself in the mercenary guild in a different town and is working under his merchant friend. The storage mode that he has can save things regardless of size and weight (the magical bags everyone use, can't); so he initally only wanted to help with transport; but after a large incident where his friend's life was at stake as well as his family, he destroyed a large bandit brigade and crushed the merchant that was pulling the strings. He becomes well known, the bad guys call him "monster", and in his entrance exam he incapacited a former A rank adventurer in an instant, the adventurer was pretty cool about it and became interested in the MC exploits, it's hinted that the adventurer will investigate records of the battles the MC is in, to gauge his ability. The MC decides to fight evil by using this identity, he feels really bad when he needs to kill, but will do so when necessary.

------- He got a "notice" of who brought him to this world (pretty much a god), which sort of stated that if he wants to live a nice life in the world, he should make a place for himself; this solves something that he was very troubled by and decides to do things to improve the world whenever he can -------

-Creates a map of the first floor of the dungeon through his fps interface and tracing, and submits it to the guild for some extra money
-A new dungeon is discovered, and the adventurer's guild is looking for people to map it out, Ashley's guild administrator colleague from the beginning discovers the perfect map that Schwarz previously submitted, and hires him to map out the new dungeon under several conditions
-Schwarz goes through the dungeon with 2 members from the all female guild Sazanka
-They discover that a fountain is on an early floor of the dungeon, which is considered strange since they're usually found on lower levels, and turns the dungeon into a raid
-Waits for some other members of Sazanka to arrive, while one of the other top guilds Rafflesia notices Schwarz's mapping ability and tries to take advantage of him by inviting him to their guild
-Schwarz declines, and kills an Ogre gatekeeper with Sazanka, clearing the dungeon, and a festival will be held on a later date for the dungeon clear
-Malta hires Schwarz as an escort and for his gift box ability to transport stuffs
-Schwarz decides to hide his identity as Shaft, a mercenary
-Schwarz fends off a bandit raid during the escort

He is from the short term future, I think; he played FPS by connecting himself to a virtual reality terminal and sending himself into the game. The game has special PvP maps and PvE maps (solo and groups); it also has plenty of futurist weapons, but classic weapons (aka, from current FPS) are the best due to cost / efficiency (futuristic weapons are too good, but they cost more than what they are worth). Weapon and Weapon ammo cost is separate.

I think the powersuit was universal and I can't remember if it's changeable (you can change it's skin / form / shape, but the model and capability has -If I am right- set values). He has short range weapons like knifes because every FPS has short range weapons (and they are useless in the FPS).

Speaking of "balance" , he is re-evaluating many weapons that were useless in the FPS due to map design and circumstances, but are "strong" now in real life (I think he tried a WWI flamethrower in a place with nothing fire vulnerability enemies that were considered "a strong fight").

"On map" he only has spaces to equip 2 weapons and switch between them (aka, "materializing" them). I think he is sort of learning to evade this thanks to the item box, but it's not quick (materialize box, save weapon there, take other weapon, return box to inventory, equip).

It's actually the one point that really bugged me on how it broke the suspension of disbelief for me.
All the silly video game physics was acceptable as they have in-universe explanation that doesn't contradict anything gravely, but the speed of him learning the language, without any explanation on how, was very jarring.

The protagonist is supposed to be fluent in multiple language, so I'm sure that was supposed to play a role.
However, a close family member of mine is a ph.D in linguistics who studied over a dozen languages, and I'm pretty sure she can't learn a completely new language not belonging to any of the linguistic family in within a couple of days. :rolleyes:

It literally only took him a couple of days to start having fluid conversation and comprehension, even though the author did try to make his speech pattern stuttering, it wasn't very convincing. I don't think the author has ever learned another language. :heh:

I wouldn't harp on the novel for this one thing though, I kinda shrugged it off to enjoy the better parts of the story.

MC's soul from the real world got crammed into his player character's body in the FPS virtual world and then the package was shipped into a fantasy world which has magic/monsters and dungeons. As a result, the MC is the only person without any magic... BUT his soul in his game character's body so he has access to all of his game's weapons, ammo, cosmetic skin packs, minimap feature etc. And he found out that the currency he can use to buy his gear can be obtained by converting magic stones from monsters he kills.

1. He has access to classic/modern weapons that are available in our world and they are the most popular since they are cost efficient
2. He can also use OP futuristic weapons you'll find in HALO/Mass Effect/Unreal Tournament but they are expensive as fuck
3. He also can equip a powersuit that is similar to the Armor in Halo or the Exo-suit from Advanced Warfare. Apparently it can be upgraded, but its basic form puts his abilities on par with warriors that utilize body strengthening magic.
4. All the miscellaneous shit like cosmetics and stun batons and such

I think his weapons would de-pixillate if he did that since they work on video game logic. That being said, he has the standard 2 weapons can be held onto at a time but he can use the game's gift bag item as an standard RPG inventory box(99 stacks of 99 items). I think his weapons and ammo are permanent purchases that remain over time like in most RPG shooter games like Fallout/Metro/Mass Effect

Actually... I'm not sure since I was reading this thread since GT kills brain cells. I'm pretty sure he can since his body is completely regular, it just follows game world laws. I also forgot to mention, he also has fast HP regen(from non-fatal wounds/injuries) almost instantaneously while he is resting out of combat.

The shopkeepers don't feel anything weird since they are completely reliant on the arithmetic skill. Its like having a subconscious calculator. If you use it a majority of the time, you will trust it no matter the result. Also, like I said, it only applies on those with calculation skill, not all shopkeepers have it(though it helps, since the only one who didn't that MC met was clumsy as fuck).

Eh, it's not that weird, you know. With the lads of the gang when we are drinking or something, it's pretty much a granted that a movie scene will be re-enacted, regardless of public or private :heh: :heh: Depending on the friend circle, the author might only put attention on those types spy / gun moves and whatnot.

The FPS he played is the futuristic sci-fi type like doom or quake; it's just that the older guns are weaker but also the most cost efficient ones.

Why is the protagonist literally a girl in that image.
I went to the manga's site and chapter 0 is up there, and the protag's boobs are consistent.
For some reason he also refers to himself as オレ instead of 俺 (オレ is supposed to be in undead pirate form).
It's not like he changed gender for the manga either; the synopsis still calls him a guy.

And why is the heroine holding her sword like she actually uses it? Hint: she literally doesn't ever.

Manga chap 2 out in young ace, and dear me; the MC's heroine power is totally overflowing. I don't know on which grounds he is going to reject a female only guild invitation. He is also sure to get a fan club or something due to being a pitiful beauty with 0 maryouku :heh: :heh: :heh:

It's VMB, from the game he was playing when he 'dropped' into another world.
It stands for Virtual Reality Multiple Battlefield, apparently. Don't mind the Engrish.
The V is just cut off from angle stuff.

Also, the heroines in this series are weird. The protagonist almost always goes solo on his fights, so it's not a battle harem series.
He doesn't particularly interact with any of them all that much outside of battles either. Though his Batman persona is pretty popular with the ladies.
He's bought like 5 different girls accessories as Batman (I don't think the Fox sisters' accessories even ever got told what they were), which was basically the most romantic they got, which is not at all.
The relationship with the one girl he's actually interested in basically amounts to having coffee with her at a restaurant every now and then.
