Forgetting Kamachi releasing yet another novel consecutively (9 in a row; and Blood-Sign 3 is long overdue anyway), August looks to be a crazy month of releases for Dengeki. SAO16, Mahouka 17 and Kawakami's new novel series in the same month? Normally they go out of their way to avoid such clashes.

I heard rumors that Dengeki Bunko doesn't like to work with Kawakami due to reasons related to his work, but I doubt that now. I mean, why would they even publish the LN version of Hexennacht if they hate the guy?

Not only that, but his novels are selling between 30k and 40k each (which is higher than most of Dengeki Bunko line up, even with many titles in dengeki bunko line up selling exceptionally well) while costing almost 2 times as much to buy than regular light novels. Also, they would not leave him publishing a series that will reach next year 20k+ pages and start another series alongside this one if they didn't like that.
At the very least, they're considering that the money they get from his works are well worth the troubles.

But anyway, Degurechaff is an awesome MC ImO, and those 20th century warfare strategies changed to include magic in them are so fun to follow too~
And I agree, that art is very memorable.

Yes~! I was waiting for it o/. Yousjo senki is already out, noow if Dash X bunko could announce for august or september rokka 6, that would be perfect. Oh, although I wouldn't be against an announce of Reinousha Minato 9 from media works bunko when we're at it, we've been waiting for it for a while.

In other news, Kamachi's streak of novel releases continues (10 in a row; 11th one confirmed for October). And Kawakami's Hexennacht Volume 1 ISN'T going to be the size of a brick.
So with that 11th Kamachi will have more page published this year than kawakami, is that what you meant by that? Indeed, since I doubt that Hexennacht will be 1000 pages long (most probably 400-600), even adding the 2500+ he published earlier this year, that will make him around 3000 pages published this year, so that should be less than Kamachi with 11 volumes.

The thing is, that's actually a very bad news for the series written by Kamachi ImO. Because I never saw that author able to write a correct story when doing speed work like that. In other words, for me not a single of those 11 volumes published are worth buying. Whereas Kawakami can actually write quality no problem with that pace. So I'm buying his new volumes no problem.
Bottom line, since Kamachi isn't able to do both quality and quantity, he should seriously stop publishing at that rate. What does he think he's doing, some kind of competition to be first on the year 2015 because he has never been able to be first before? Or he's in need of money or something? Anyway, as a former buyer of his books, and therefore as a former customer, this makes me want to flee even more from anything with kamachi name on it. Such a waste of setting and talent.

I'm happy to see that the Kamachi ride continues, even if it will be some time before I can read the novels. I wonder if he plans to release something in November and/or December or if he will finally rest.

I haven't read the Blood Sign series beyond the teaser of volume 1 or Zashiki Warashi 6 & 7 yet, but personally I haven't noticed a drop in quality in any of the novels of Kamachi's recent streak that I have been able to read (Zashiki Warashi 5, NT12, Kamachiverse crossover and what's translated of Heavy Object 9). In fact, except for going overboard with using Touma as a punching bag for the rest of the characters in the crossover I haven't found anything I truly disliked in these novels (and that's because I'm not really a big fan of that kind of humour, others might have liked it).

The reception to NT12 and the crossover seems to have been mainly positive here. There's not really that many people who want to talk about Heavy Object or Zashiki Warashi in the forum, which is a shame. I personally liked ZW 5 and I'm enjoying HO 9 so far.

IMO Kamachi is perfectly able to do both quantity and quality and seems to be doing just fine in this stream of releases so far. I don't think he's in need of money when Index is still doing pretty well after all these years and Heavy Object finally got an anime. My theory is that he probably is too fired up after the 10th Index anniversary and the editors finally let him run wild.

Judging from the illustrations it makes me think the story will be like Strike Witches or Kancolle: EG cute highschool girls fighting weird alien-like creatures.

I hope it'll be popular enough, and that it gets a decent enough writer that it won't sound like old hat. I can probably relate more to infantry girls as opposed to shipgirls or planegirls, may be asking for too much in hoping they get a writer who actually knows how infantry weapons work.

Also hoping the artist stays the same, I really got attached to the character designs.

NOW that's a line up I appreciate! KyouHora 9A ( Honmyouji no Hen! this is going to be good!) AND Alderamin 9 ! Very nice news here. Still no baccano though,but considering the nice stuff Dengeki Bunko is having for April, I'll temporarily forget about that x).

Outside of that, there's stuff like Index NT 15 and SAO 17, so a very big month sales wise for Dengeki Bunko here.

On top of that, while Dash X Bunko hasn't released its line up for March yet, we already are aware (thanks to amazon) that it will include "Rokka no Yuusha archive1". Which is basically a volume showing the various characters of the show BEFORE the beginning of the story. I suppose it means no RnY 7 for a while, but at the same time, this is the first time we'll see Hans, Nashetania (directly) and Chamo's past, so those "archive" volumes may be very interesting on the long run as well.

Took him long enough to realize that Baccano wasn't selling well, don't you think. He isn't going to get a single yen from me as logn as he doesn't finish baccano though, that's for sure. Buying 21 volumes and then being left with only 3-4 volumes remaining, that's just no. If he wanted to stop, should have stopped after a few volumes for not enough sales.

I know this may not be the best place to ask, but, does anyone know how jpn amazon works? I live in Europe and I'm trying to order some light novels, but, when they ask me to specify my address, I've these 4 blank boxes: 郵便番号; 都道府県; 住所1; 住所2. The problem is I'm not sure myself how to fill them up, like for example, should I write: country, city, street name in 住所1, my postal code in 郵便番号, and omit the rest? Many thanks!:p

Oh and btw, can I use latin letters instead of katakanas? They say foreign addresses can be given in half-width characters, but not sure whether its katakana or latin.

Amazon JP does overseas shipping unless there's an explicit region block restriction for the product. You can in fact change the display language to English. Filling up address in English is no problem as they use DHL for international shipping. They won't even have half-width warning if you display in English. You should also add international shipping address, instead of domestic.

Ahaha good one. YP is generally dog shit in the quality of their translations and localizations. The only thing they have going for them is that to date they have not dropped a single one of their titles. Speed, accuracy and quality they all lose in to dedicated fan groups.

Doesn't say that it's the last volume for SAO in the synopsis but it's almost close to the ending of Alicization from the WN. I'd give it one more volume depending on the content of this volume. Then we wait if Kawahara will write past Alicization.

New Baccano in a really long time. Narita's focusing on Fate/Strange Fake right now, what with big twists of the new volume. That, and he's also playing FGO :heh:. Given he may write one more volume of FSF to make it a 2 volume a year pattern, he can probably squeeze another volume of Baccano for this year. FSF in Oct, Baccano in Dec. Or maybe a new volume of DRRR SH.
