TADA just reached 50 recently, but still seems like he wants to keep making eroges for a long time.

I've been waiting for this game for many, many years. Perhaps ever since I found out about the Rance series, way back in 2011?

Sadly, I'll probably be too busy to play it immediately after release. Maybe in a few months or so... :heh: :frustrated:

And once Rance 04 remake gets released too, I'm planning to marathon the entire series. Starting with 01 remake and finishing with the glorious Rance 10.

While I can't say I've been waiting for Rance X specifically when IX wasn't even out, I have been interested in the series since a bit before Quest release, and been hyped about it since I played III on the second half of 2013 and proceeded to marathon the series all the way to Quest + 01 in a couple of months.

It was a great time to become a Rance fan as 2014 had IX and then 2015 had 03. But after came this long wait for X which is finally coming to an end.

So far with the info we got it looks like X will easily be my favorite game of the series and possibly one of my favorite overall. It seems they went all out in many aspects like going Full HD, over 200 characters with tons of playable ones, a huge script, etc.

If there is one disappointment for me is it having no voices. In one hand I think the game would still be great nonetheless, plus I loved IX and VI even without them. On the other hand, after playing 03, I just think the game would be even greater if it had them. It adds another dimension to the dialogue and story.

1st few hours of gameplay impression:
- the system seem cool at first, but when I played around 2 hours into the game, the gameplay isn't seem that good anymore, it is still considerable better when you compare to most eroge, but when compare to RanceIX or Quest, Rance 10 fell short a lot.

- The CG seem weird, like many people on 4ch said, they give us girls we actually never even dream of, but at the same time. don't have girl that we are actually expect to have, or just have a miniscule of scene, some girl don't even have CG or scene. Lia and magic got sidelined completely. Mill doesn't seem to appear. Shizuka and Maria got appear in 1 scene. Reset is sidelined. many of my personal waiting like La Vaswald, Hornet, Feliss,.... seem irrelevant as hell, especially Hornet, I mean, I don't have much expect from other girls, but Hornet was literally the leader of the opposing faction, and we only get her in the very very end of the game from people words, and I played hours and still only get 1 single scene of her binded, which reinforce the fact that getting her would be very late into the game. Many girls like Rizna actually only got bad end CG, no normal CG. The amount of CG itself seem lacking.

- The game is actually quite short, at the very least, I played for 3-4 hours at most and I'm pretty sure I could reach 3/4 of the story already. I won't talk about replay value for now since I'm not reached the end yet, but considering the time spend, I'd not put this on the same level as Rance quest or IX, much less Sengoku. For what I see, the replay value doesn't seem good

- The music is amazing. The plotline seem ok. But too less interaction with girls. Too limited in choice as well. You can't customizing your characters like the previous game either. Again, the gameplay is actually quite limited. You can only leveling, level up your base, unlock more char, switch char and .... that's it. The fact that the game itself is pretty linear doesn't help either.

Overall, I still think it's a good game, but for my expectation of grand finale and all those teasing, the game isn't quite up to it, especially the fact that recent Rance series game from Sengoku to IX have been very outstanding.

Got 11 ending now. Sddenly warg came out after i finished the 2nd one turn kill of both dark lord in zeth.
You can enter the mission but remember that rance's rank must be 50 or more. This is the condition to face off with warg or the mission will ultimately failed in the end.
Also you cannot use party below rank 50 in this battle, i only got like 5 member and no healer in this battle. End badly for me.
She basically can put you to sleep for 3 turn and there is 80% chance for this to happen. (you can decrease it using skill or bonus from the medal)
She only attack once every 3 turn but her attack reduced my hp bar to half after that.

Now i know why you can customize your own character in the 2nd part....it is because we the player are the god creator ludo. Crook literally said that we are her child in the end and she also chatting happily with us (ludo). Crook want us to see the world and show that the world is much more interesting than how it look and she also have many more suggestion to how to enjoy this world. The scene ended saying that the story after that is a story that even god doesn't know.

Yeah, Ludo was clearly an avatar of the player, especially with the way it talk about the world. Make me feel sad just remember about the part when Ludo said it was fun.

Basically you can choose who dark rance partner is for the 2nd part. I think you can chose 2 option that came with a different cg for who dark rance showed up with to help you. Either maria or the litttle angel

So what bir klled is only her fake body and her soul is back into her real body in the ice.

Everything is the best including rance's children in part 2. So many good moment in part 2 there is no way to choose which one is the best. For example like Stella genuinely crying and feel glad when she saw sill still alive. She cried like a child and sill comforted her while weeping away her tear is the best scene for me

You know that you can speed up the battle holding down "ctrl" right? It took about 30 second for me to finish normal battle.

The 2nd part is too rushed and we didn't get enough detail of what happened when everyone knew that rance turned back to normal. Maybe alicesoft just let it done like this so they can used as important setting for future series. Not rance but maybe a brand of new series but used the history and setting of rance.

holding Ctrl in battle like runset said, and also changing the speed in map and battle to Kangaroo, for long map you can save up to hours.

I'm pretty sure everyone is agree that the 2nd part is rushed, since we actually only see a few girls in arc 2, and that's not mentioned that we actually literally knew next to nothing after Rance become DK. WE just got a full time skip and gone straight to the end. After the fight, everything over immediately, we only got a few images in the credit rolls that's actually not that relevant.

Finally finished the game again. I played the 1st part 12x and 2nd part 5x.
As for houjou soun.... That girl is not ran. Gigai explain that girl is really the reincarnation of ran but she is reborn with only an imperfect memories of her past life. (Only remember some part and not full memories)
She is ran and the same time is not ran, even the girl herself doesn't believe in her own feeling right now because maybe it was ran feeling and not her until reset give her some push. From that point on she decided to believe in her feeling and confront sooun head on while supporting him. Gigai give her advice to always smile in front of souun because her smile resemble ran

overall i like all of rance kids and their interaction. Hope they made another series for rance's kids next time.

I've already cleared all Majins in other countries, invaded Shangrila and secured Miki, but Leazas remained the only country I haven't succeeded in doing 1 turn 2 Majin kills. Technically I can damage her, but that is after a long chain of combos that can only be performed once every 2 rounds while I need to damage her 7 times but the time limit is 8 rounds. And I already have 12 CP.

If anyone have done this before, can you share your strategies? Which cards you used, which CP bonus you used, what party bonus you used, etc etc.

There are many ways. For me i used Level god Mikan or Willis to raise the rank of my selected companion (mainly in Devil/god and demi-human category) into 30(min) or 45(max). You now that it will increase your character's attack more if you raise another one in the same category right?
Use character that have "auto plan" skill like Arlcoate from leazas (if you're lucky and got her lv47 card used this one instead because it will have 60% chance to activate this skill) it will further boost your attack.
For Attacking purpose use Rance, Full or modern Kalar, and Kesselring to break silky shield if you can.(Thier rank is about 95-120 when i used them)

Rank 95!? I used 6 +50% exp and +10 starting level CP bonus and I still only managed around level 50 max by turn 7, with several level 30s and 20s in each nation/category. Actually I never reached that high even after clearing the game. If I have rank 95 I wouldn't even be thinking of strategy.

Even as rank 120 i almost cannot penetrate silky's defense.(Luckily the "plan" skill stack each time it used). Use bonus +1 rank for each exp crystal. (the one before +5 starting lv) If you used all the bonus of this you will gain 3 rank for each exp crystal.
In preparation phase there is a quest "Training in other world" where miracle will bring you for training and you get 4 exp crystal for free meaning you will gain +12 rank in an instant. Better do this quest after you have leveled your main character high enough because it will be a waste if you started this quest and your rank's still low. I increased Full kalar rank from 88 to 100 with this method.

1st, toss aside the exp + bonus, they are useless, take 1 or 2 at most. Damage needed to be scale with factions, not characters, so take the rank + bonus, it'd make literally every card you get contribute directly to the power. So you'd need the corps upgrades, the rank+ bonus as priority

You have to understand that the power is calculated by entire faction worth, so +rank make every single units worth much more, a full faction of rank15 is far more powerful than 1 single lv 30-35 char. So lvling is actually not that important as even out the power of entire factions. The char choosen are only leaders.

Make choice on Characters, you'd need char that can Nuke, so Full Kalar, Hornet, Lia,... and proper support on them. so the Corp bonus you'd required is bonus phys, bonus mag, ... of course this depend on you go full route on Magic or physics damage or both, then Hanny Zippo, and all increase if you have more army rank left, though if you choose army rank up as CP + then you should have enough to easily turn a complete nuke team

next is support char, choosing char with support skill like Belze, who can give full boost to your team, char with passive damage +,.... Due to AP constraint, the most you could affort is probably 2-3 nuker. then go, it's pretty straight in that point. Most people just ignore passive ability of some characters, which actually played quite a lot in helping out damage

I already take both rank+ bonus and 4 Corps bonus. I also save scummed every battle up to that point so it gives me a card. But my damage per faction is still only around 40-50K (this is already making every other battle a breeze so it's not exactly low either). But I need to deal 400K+ damage each turn because Silky has 50% resist and she cancels anything below 200K damage. That means I have to have 8x-10x damage modifier. Lia has that but that costs 5 AP so 2 turns wasted already. I need to somehow deal 8x-10x damage SIX more times in SIX turns which means every single turn. I already take both rank+ bonus and 4 Corps bonus. I also save scummed every battle up to that point so it gives me a card. But my damage per faction is still only around 40-50K (this is already making every other battle a breeze so it's not exactly low either). But I need to deal 400K+ damage each turn because Silky has 50% resist and she cancels anything below 200K damage. That means I have to have 8x-10x damage modifier. Lia has that but that costs 5 AP so 2 turns wasted already. I need to somehow deal 8x-10x damage SIX more times in SIX turns which means every single turn. This is impossible unless I increase my base damage for each faction and I don't know how to reach that high by turn 7. As i said before, you'd need 2-3 nuker, Lia can at best pull out 2 shot in entire fight, Full Kalar is a good one, Hornet as well, .... or with luck, Arios. Again, you'd need 2-3 nuker in your fight, and then stack the remaining slot with Passive and support unit, Rance's stalker is a good one, Belzeye for the boost,... Etc. Like i said on previous post, don't stack a full team of attacker, get the unit with passive and support skill.

Ahah, I forgot about the support squad card that multiplies leader's attack and hp by 8x instead of 5x that the stage coach gives. I need 200 cards for that and I counted my card before the Silky fight is 190. Fucking 10 cards short! I keep picking assist Leazas during the Preparation phase so I need to start over and mix in other quests.

I refrain from using nandemo ari so there's that. But I think this should be doable if I just collect enough cards by turn 7.

Yeah! Finally done it. Found a neat guide in Japanese and that's where I got the 200 cards idea from. I knew you cannot count on 5-6 AP nukes like people suggested here, there's not enough rounds for that. Bezeleye was a good idea though and used her to boost Gandhi, Aigis, and Sill with Sylpheed while the fire weakness shows up. The rest is done using Kentarou and a bunch of 0 ap combos. Finally I can lay rest the first part and start playing 2nd part.
