I guess I was pretty interested in how Ebichu was recieved in a cultural context. What time it aired, whether it was aimed at older women or men or both, how it was recieved, ect. I was also curious about the other two shows it aired/airs with. Anyone know what they are? Are they GAINAX too?

The whole Ai no Awa Awa Bubble Hour was done by Gainax. I forgot what one of the other two pieces are specifically, though...one is about an osaka gangstress (like street gang...think GTO) who turns office lady.

Well yeah.. I mean if you watched animempegs Ebichu you have seen CVME's as they just used ANimempegs scripts and "changed them a little" the head of cvme has admited all he did was use animempegs work. But then these are the same guys who used tv-nihons subs and the parody subs of PGSM and called the work their own.

I'm just wondering what is kaisonachi real name? I'm kinda used to refer him as kaisonachi all the time. For a long time I tought that was his name, until you guys translate it as the useless bum. :heh:

I guess you could say in the context of the series his name is 'kaishonachi', but like 'goshujinchama' is Ebichu's master's name, it's not a given name like Tom and Jane. It's also like kaishonachi calling Ebichu 'rat' as it were her name.

The Ebichuman segment was better when it was doing the gag about the packages; that part could have been milked for a bit more, I thought (I was wondering what the ex-lover would have thought about getting the videotape of the toddler, but I guess that's not dirty enough to be a joke here). Instead we got the thing with the surfing etc. Who knows what the hell that was?

Sorry to inform you guys, 23-24 is the last of the show. Can't say when I'll finish it. It's currently in the QC phase, but 21-22 spent about 2 months rotting away in QC...

As for putting up torrents for 1-16, I'm not sure.

Strange as it may seem, Ebichu used to be emotionally involving for me. I felt sorry for Ebichu when the OL didn't appreciate her, and I felt sorry for the OL when Useless Bum mistreated her, and I felt the terrible irony of this. These feeling come together in the sweet, sentimental OP.

I'm assuming i'm the only one, but for a while now <over a month> i have been unable to view the Seichi website and just now i noticed i can't get to the site that has the torrent for the new Ebichu episodes. I know some places will ban people for not uploading enough on BT, but i almost always upload until my share ratio is at least 125%. That last ep was alright, the first two segments were recycled, but ebichuman got me laughing pretty hard with the premature ejaculator AND stupid joke. :D And I liked the surfing stuff, though it didn't pertain to the problem.

Eventhough it had nudility , bad language and mindless hamster abuse . Its an anime every Otaku above 18 should watch . Despite the above mentioned its not vulgar in any sense .

On a serious note , it gives us a deep understanding of the genral physce of a working Japanese Society . Also a very nice outlook on the problems encountered by women in that same work oriented society . And dark humor I like .

That's were the simple animation style works, if it was done in a let's say detailed realistic style the visuals probably would have detracted from the humor and over all left a very different impression.
