I notice it takes a long time before a new episode is released for this anime. Has it stopped at episode 10 or will the trend of releasing an episode every several weeks stay (which will suck)?
I hope to complete this anime ASAP and I hope InF will do us this favor. By the way, I know a lot of people waiting to complete this anime... so it wont have any problems seeding...

InF are just doing it very slow, I'd love it if tsubasa came out each week but im still happy im even able to watch it once in a while...

if they are releasing, keep up the great work! i don't mind waiting for the next episode.

Ashita wo mezashite, get goal!! Episode 11 was one of the better episodes for far for CT2K2. And since it was released just yesterday, I would presume that Infusion is still working on it, how actively I don't know.

I am also a big fan of Captain Tsubasa, i love that show. I found episodes 11 and 12 from infusion at downloadanime.org (http://downloadanime.org) search tsubasa or something and it will come up it was very slow for me so i tried to leave it up as long as possible after it finished so other ppl can dl it faster :help:

I don't know... I kinda like the older series better. Especially Captain Tsubasa J series... That's the most exciting version than the original or this new one. This new one seems rushed through games, there's hardly any suspense.

Actually, I'd say the 2nd season was the best ( the one which came in between the original and J series). It focused more on the story and had some really nice games.

You can buy dvds from amazon.co.jp or other stores that carries japanes R2 dvds.

And...the whole series has been subtitled in french.
i live in greece .the posibility for someone here to speak spanish,french,german is 1 in 10000 :( i dont get it tsubasa was the best soccer anime ever (and yet there is a posibility of new episodes fro wc 2006 new manga is on the way)why isnt anyone interested to translate it?

CT is best for nostalgia, and only that.
Sure, it has a lot of great characters and we get eto know them little by little, but the animation of the games... by far the worst of any fotball animes I've seen.
And this is coming from someone who used to have as favorite anime when he was a kid.

Captain Tsubasa is best anime soccer series i'd ever seen
its remind me my childhood
damn i'd seen wild striker, aoki densetsu shoot and many but they do not compare to CT
the best series was CT J and there movies also great :) last summer i went to Malaysia and i bought CT road to 2002 and it's movies ( it contains 3 dvds with bad english subtitles but its easy to understand ) where he travel to europe to challenge europe team. you have watch it guys don't miss it.

As ser mentioned , your argument only proves its the most popular. People like diffrent animes, so there might be people who like forinstance Wild striker more than captain tsubasa in terms of soccer anime. So it can only be the most popular :cool: .
For me CT is my favorite soccer anime , well not mostly because of the unrealistic things in it ( well its part of why i like it ) , but that it is a longer anime and has a better story:heh: .
P.S. Its preaty saddening such a good anime and one of the most popular ones between many people hasnt been subed in english yet.

Yeah, especially when Japan is going to release a fully remastered version of Captain Tsubasa 83 in 4 DVD-Boxes. The first box will be released this month.

I just discovered more news about the new DVD-boxes releases (at least the first two):

If it comes true, the first box will be released in April 28th. :D
For the first 56 episodes, there are the same episodes already released, just in 2 box (I read nowhere they were remastered, but I'll confirm you it when the box will be out, and that I'll have it).
The two others are the end of the series never released in DVD (So I confirm it, they'll all be released, in 4 box, 28 episodes by box, 28 * 4 = 128).
They even also released in last december a "Complete OST Collection", and they'll also release soon 2 DVD of the Movies (1-2 & 3-4, only the 5 isn't planned), it seem this year is a tsubasa's year lol)

It's probably a copy of the dub in a fansub, cause the italians for example have the japanese tracks on their DVD, so maybe spanish have it too, but unfortunately, the video isn't completed (some cut like the french versions).
My friend received his first box, and I was right, the episodes aren't remasterized (same size and same quality with the old ones).
The covers are 99% identical, same for the menu of the discs, in summary, that's just a box of the DVD already sold before.
The only changed real thing on the dvd is the image on the DVD Disc, which ere in black & white on the old, and which are in color on those ones.

the thing is even if it is redone in new fansubs the show uses old animation and is a little hard to get used to. not as bad as speed racer or ashita no joe, but somewhere in the middle of now and then.
Ashita no joe's animation isn't bad, neither is CT, although, yeah, when they run at the fields, they re-use stuff.

Hmmm.... So basically all the old episodes are all lost unless you know German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, etc? I remember back in my home country it used to be in Italian and I understood it all but now I can't understand Italian as well... I personally feel it is a waste to not try to recover all of the original Captain Tsubasa episodes... There has to be a way to do it.
I have some episodes of captain tsubasa the first season in arabic on my site if anyone wants to download them but you will need Emule.:)

great i would like to see captain tsubasa in english .all i have is spanish rm which !%#% .
its a long way, there are alot of episodes ,but there are a lot of fans waiting out there and this is the anime that deserves to be in english (unbelieavable there are subs for anime none ever wanna see and none for tsubasa )

Well I called them and asked them if I could get a hold of these anime series. The lady said that it is not out yet but they are working on it right now. She said it is going to be english audio instead of sub(that is what I expted anyway) and when I asked her when, she asked me to check back with them in about 6 months for a release date. This is awesome guys! The lady was very surprised that I knew about Tsubasa and asked me how? I said I grew up in Turkey. If you guys want to call them here is the nubmer 1-818-907-6503. I think all of you in USA should call them and tell them how much you love this anime and they may speed it up. I have told her how crazy are we about this anime and how bad we needed it.I don't think they know that there is already such a big english speaking fan base existed. We gotta let them know. They will be releasing the very first 128 episode series and the last 52 epised road to 2002. I don't know if it will air on tv or be released on DVD.

Well you can buy the road to 2002 series with english subs for about 35$ off of Ebay if anyone cares, although the subs do rather suck still a great anime to watch and the english is understandable, also has Italian and French subs, hope this helps someone.

Hi all,
I just subscribed to this forum for this anime lol.
Anyways, I've noticed that a person or group called [inf] successfully subbed 10 episodes of the anime.
I'm here to tell you that I have the ability to sub the next 15 episodes of it, because the Arabic version has a total of 25, which I can sub to English.
Since the first 10 has already been subbed to English, there's no use for me to re-sub it.
I'll probably create a site with links to download (going to learn how to upload using torrent files).
So basicly, the anime is in Arabic Audio and I'll English sub it depending on how much the fans here want it.
If I receive enough posts or e-mails that are happy with it and want it, I'll happily do it.

The first 10 episodes were done by a person or a group called [inf] or infusion, search through the torrent sites and you'll find it. It's Japanese audio, English subbed.
The Arabic version I have is only a dub, but not a sub.
I can do it on Japanese version as well, by downloading both the Arabic one and the Japanese one, then subbing the Arabic one and adding it to the Japanese, it'll just take more time since I do not have the Japanese one.
It all depends on what the fans ask. So what do you say, fans?

Well, dubbed series are always different from the original. The Arabic dubbed is different from the Japanese original. You might as well leave it with the Arabic audio. It doesn't really matter as long as we can understand what's going on.

I have watched nearly all the dubbed version of Captain Tsubasa in French. The only thing left is to watch them with Japanese audio. Also, the names are not changed. I like that.

Concerning to Captain Tsubasa, i have only seen the old version about in 1995 and it was dub in spanish, it's so awesome the story and so exciting, back then i was in school, but the only problem is that it ended up at by finishing the national tournament by their third time and they were supposed to go to the junior international championship i think it was in France. i wanted to watch more but they stop releasing it, i still want to watch it and so far i know is that they have a new version but it seems they stop producing it by the episodes 10 or 15.
If someone knows how to get the hole anime please let me know, it wont' matter if it's the old version but at least with subs in spanish or english otherwise i won't understand it, well i might understand it since i have seen a lot of animes and i kind of learned also japanese(speaking a little)
i would really thank for the one who could provide me the info on how to get the rest of the episodes or the old version.
In my opinion, this is the best anime in soccer that I have seen comparing to the rest of them and the new version looks a little more realistic on their play.

Just because they are "professionally" done doesn't mean they are any better. I'd rather pay fansubbers across the world than the licensing companies that sub the projects. They assume that their subs won't be really used so they just do a half-assed subbing.
well then i can do the subbing with my team if anyone can tell me where to get the raw episodes from.
Good news everyone, i now have the episodes in Raw Japanese audio.
Me and my team will start working on episode 11 today hopefully.
I will post again and tell you when I release episode 11.

Last time I uploaded only the subs for episodes 11 to 27 but as I see people are also interested in the subs for episodes 1 to 10 despite the Infusion series.
Anyway, here are the subs as I got them.

The problem is that they consist of 3 text files with all the subs in one so you'll have to edit them yourself (Only for episodes 1 to 10, the rest I have edit and posted above)

I notice it takes a long time before a new episode is released for this anime. Has it stopped at episode 10 or will the trend of releasing an episode every several weeks stay (which will suck)?
I hope to complete this anime ASAP and I hope InF will do us this favor. By the way, I know a lot of people waiting to complete this anime... so it wont have any problems seeding...

Dood, I co-founded that group. Doubt all you want, but they will be released at one point. Not sure when though, because we are concidering changing source. Our current source is from the French R2 dvds, which are converted NTSC dvds, and that isn't so pretty...

Captain Tsubasa J would be a better choice, but it's just my point of view (I would think "if it's to do a remake, it's better to do the good one than the crappy one).
Not to mention that Captain Tsubasa J have some great episodes at the end (the World Youth part, the 12 last episodes)

I started this group to continue subtitling Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002 where Infusion left off a couple of maybe 3 years ago. We have episode 13 in QC, but, the typesetters keep dropping away like flies for me. Tl checker could be needed for episode 14+, but the tl is quite good at this episode.

The editor who said she quit the tsubasa project decided to come back, even if she'll only be editing one episode a month I came to the conclusion that it's better to release something rather than nothing when all staff positions are filled.
I'm thinking about watching the first 21 episodes of the original series done by Frenchies before moving on to this, but not sure.

you can totally skip watching the 1983 series because Road to Dream summarizes nicely the old series (if i remember right the first 25 episodes is the summary of the 1983 version), you wont miss anything important on the story
but if you got a lot of time then why not watch the 1983 series too its good to but be prepared on slow pacing as most old series are like that :heh:
Saizen's 2k2 project has resumed, and if the encoders keep up, there should be at least a couple of eps out each month :)
