A manga based on the novel is serialized in the seinen(young men's) manga magazine Dengeki Daioh.
For now there are 2 volumes released of this manga.

So far all three books seem to only focus on the events that transpired in the movie, which would effectively be the first novel. There is the inexcludable pantsu scene with Yuuji and Shana as well when she was changing in his room too. :p

As for Book 4, and the Eternal Song...Well, I'm looking forward to the both of them, especially what had happened with Mathilda and Wilhelmina in the past.

You'll have to define "scenes" more descriptively. It's the usual "she's naked but you don't see anything".

Are you talking about the translated version or the original? I know they did some censoring in the translated novel but I'm not sure about the manga. I own the originals so I can't comment on this specifically.

Only three volumes has been released for the manga thus far, how do you have a "fourth"? The second volume had a limited edition release as a bundle with another small book named GRIMOIRE, is that what you mean by four?

Haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere, but the Shakugan no Shana ~Eternal Song~ (http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=14154) manga recently started in the bimonthly magazine Dengeki Black Maoh, with an official free preview (just a couple of pages) here (http://www.dengekionline.com/dmaoh/black/try/syana/1.html). The art looks really awesome, and there's some well-drawn fighting in the full chapters from the magazine. It's set in the time of Alastor's previous vessel (during the "great war"?), so we get to see Wilhemina and the other flame hazes and tomogarana in their "previous forms." Since it's unlicensed and obviously untranslated, hopefully some group will pick it up for scanlation.

Assuming they're not jumping anywhere, I would imagine that it's going to start covering things from the second novel.

I finished going over the fourth manga yesterday.

Quick overview as follows to the best of my Japanese comprehension:

Satou and Eita sees Margery kick some delinquent ass and quickly becomes her lackeys
Yuji is disheartened by his inability to perform well during trainings and ups and leaves a frustrated Shana
Margery and co. goes around looking for clues of Ramies
Shana wants Yuji to go fight with her but he feels useless / does not contribute, Shana leaves
Yoshida wants to make a present for her younger brother and Ike gets Yuji to help her shop around for materials
the pair encounters Ramies, chit-chat between Yuji and Ramies ensues
Margery uses spells to search for Ramies, Shana picks it up, the two confront and fight
manga ends with Yuji noting to Ramies that Shana's definitely going to be alright (although you see in the panel next to it that she's seriously wounded)

Another excellent volume with ultra moe Shana drawings along with some very, very funny scenes.

I heard about "Eternal Song" from the "Light Novels" thread, and from just the pictures from the links that were given in that thread, I would have thought at first it was just some side-story or something off-track from the main (which it sorta is, but it isn't in the same way)

But I'm pretty curious to know more about the previous Flame Haze of Alastor, so I will look up on it.

This series is a nice prequel to the final season of Shana, as more characters who are Great War veterans will appear to fight alongside Shana.

I never got around to actually watching season 3 (only watched season 1 and 2) since I read to much comments on youtube, posts on forums, etc etc about how season 3 was so much a screw-up that if they ever got the time for season 4, it better fix the problems or a lot of fans will be angry.

But that is just what I read.

not really.....Bal Masque does interfere in the war turning it out rather well for them.

The reason why Bal Masque "allied" with Toten Glocke is because of a certain Unrestricted Method which Asiz is using to create his "child" from Tis and his existences. This spell is actually a part of "Psalm of Grand Order" taken from Bal Masque by Dantalion and eventually falls into Asiz's hand. So Bal Masque raids into the Great War, pretending to be allies of Toten Glocke, but in fact waiting to stop this spell before it completes. Hecate's the one who was able to do this (as seen in the certain chapter of Eternal Song. Can't remember)

I would guess it is something involving Fuuzetsu, since we see a giant explosion there. Unless that godly-looking figure did something to cause a big bang.

Yes, it describes the fuzetsu cutting off the flow of the inner area within it.

My Translation:
Fuuzetsu: A technique which detaches the flow of the world inside, creating a concealed zone isolated from the physical world.

Main Text:

時は十六世紀初頭

(This is Europe.)

未だ封絶のない時代
（A time when the Fuuzetsu did not exist.)

The Great War is the war told in Eternal Song. It's a unique experience for the humans involved, especially when they have to face a Crimson Lord strong enough to carve a canyon.

Anyway, I got half of the two-page spread detexted now, and I'm onto the hard part: the features on Illuyanka's stony face, the rainbow arc on Merihim's sword, and some more details on Asiz.

This will take some more time because I have to estimate where I'll place the bumps on Illuyanka's face, and how I'll replicate the render on Merihim's sword.

Finally got Eternal Song II along with Omamori Himari 7.

Looking pretty good so far. The special drawing at the credits at the back is really nice. Chernobog looks kinda sweet in a dress.

Finally possessed vol.2's Grimoire now after searching around Mandarake in my trip to Japan few days ago. Still couldn't find a cartain Dengeki Bunko magazine that published "Verger" yet.

Too bad, Kamachi-sensei(author of Index)'s version of side story, "Toumetsu no Goku(Prison of Destruction)" in this Grimoire isn't counted as canon. Animating Yuji carrying Shana-Margery-Wilhelmina-Khamsin's weaponry would be so damn cool(seems out-of-character, though).

Well on their site it says vol 6 is the final volume so they probably wont be releasing any more.

It doesn't say that on the shakugan no shana novel page on their site but I have personally long since given up on them releasing anymore of those.

Oh.. seriously? I thought it was just Viz halting localization... Damn, how disappointing, I really loved her artwork. Urgh, the novels ended and now the manga... and with the anime ending sometime in March or April... no more Shana. A good 6+ years of following this series, :(.

does any body know when the manga will be translated, cause at the wiki it says that Shakugan no Shana Manga Series ended in 2011 and its 2012 now, I dont think it takes that much time to translate it. I mean look at naruto, fairy tail , one piece, they get translated in less then 2 days
