I find it very funny when other girls like that gossip chick.. create a little dramatic pressure atmosphere around Eri regarding Harima and Harima happens to be around at the time.

Every character has their little funnies.. even Karasuma, but I just don't like Tenma.. she always kills the moment.. Except for a few moments that Harima ends up being the one making people laugh because of her.

Yeah for the most part most of them can be enjoyable, some lesser than others. (but there are some side characters that I really don't care about) But most of those times can't compare with Harima when it comes to funniness, and then the Harima-Eri-Yakumo dynamic when it comes to romantic drama.

Maybe we should start listing the parts we thought were funny and/or enjoyed that didn't involve Harima/Eri/Yakumo. I wonder how much we could get. I guess I’ll start out.

Imadori can get really funny sometimes, and I actually like the Ichijou/Imadori couple. Lala coming in all the time ruins it a lot though.

And also Akira can get really funny sometimes with her weird tendencies.

Yeah Yakumo doesn't have very many funny parts but I really like her interactions with Harima.

Karasuma can be funny at times, but there are a lot of times he's just weird in a bad way. Hanai along the same lines, although he's not as weird.

School Rumble left something special from the start and middle of the series anime and manga.

Too bad KJ had to suddenly stop it which makes the progress, development stop also for the other characters which REALLY SUCKS, one reason why he's hated for what he has done to his masterpiece.

Iam just glad there is NNA and New Hentai-Kamen to keep me company whenever I feel I wanna see KJ's artwork.

If it's about Ichijou and Imadori then I can be happy with that. I mentioned it somewhere, but they’re some of the characters outside of the Eri-Harima-Yakumo dynamic that I find interesting. As long as Lala doesn't get in there too much. The pictures of Imadori look a little off though.

That's Sunce's work, and it isn't from Spain, It's common spanish.. or in other words Latin Spanish. Much like British english and American English, ultimately no big deal.. but the credit for School Rumble loving spanish people goes to all the central and south americans.

Eri was the first girl that I really like......
it started when the Eri and mikoto are fighting......
at firsts.... i was only getting interested whether yakumo likes harima or not....
but still eri is the one that I like that time.....

so.. when episode 17 of season 1 came in.....
thats when i have fallen inlove with the character(yakumo).....
thats when harima shuuji came to the tsukamoto house.....
it really changes my mind....
and i found out that i only like Eri because of her interactions with harima....
cause its really fun to watch a "the more u hate, the more u love" just like harima and eri..,also this kind of relationship has already has the other anime just like ranma and akane in ranma1/2
i love yakumo because of what she is..., even without harima....
i only like eri when shes with harima.....

i really like this scene, cause it feels like harima shuuji was me.....

Thats because it seemed like the main criteria to judge if one's character is better or not is supernatural powers. So even gender is not all that important as long as there are supernatural powers to it (sarcasm).

Yakumo can do lots of things, but Eri can do those things that count when she is with Harima, as in her relationship with him, making her more suited girl for him than Yakumo. Does it make her better than Yakumo? Probably not. I just used the whole reference to Eri as an sarcastic reply to the poster who believed that there is a criteria that can make one girl better than another. They both have their ups and downs, and frankly liking one girl or another is not like it is based on a collection of good qualities - like, she has 20 good character features and that other has 19, so I like the first one, but yesterday the other one showed she can sing and dance well so has 21 one good features against 20 so I think I today I like the other one, etc.

You just like one or another, sometimes even denying the logic.

Yakumo can cook and can do supernatural stuff, but at the same time Eri can be much more successful in a relationship between people sense. You just have to pick which one you like, but if you like one more than the other just based on some specific feature of hers then such liking is a fake.

Which is why it bugs me over the other forum.. people saying they like Yakumo simply because she looks better.. or knows how to cook.. house stuff and what not..

what about the Manga? What about everything she's done? Are people really that dense to say they like her more over her opponent (Eri) because of her looks and not her performance.

To me Eri looks better than Yakumo (My Opinion), I never really cared about the cooking since I know how to cook myself.. and We know Harima can cook as well so it's probably more meaningful in a relationship when the guy does the cooking for the girl. Besides that.. going out to eat can be fun.. rather than always eating at home

I like Yakumo and all.. but I don't like her role in the manga. All I can say is that it's very lacking and most importantly not exiting.. or in other words boring

like the other girls.. Mikoto has her funny moments and pinches in some good comedy and Akira has her charm as well as her unusual way to take advances

Lala.. well Lala is lala, Ichijou is like Yakumo.. very sweet and cute but what really makes her shine is her humorous relationship with Imadori. And Tenma is a natural goofball

Poor Yakumo seems to be out of place in the manga, but she does have her moments when Tenma does her thing and she panics and says Nee-san nee-san. Or when her Crazy friends ask her about weird things such as Yaoi and she actually thought it was two men having cowboy... errr never mind

In conclusion.. there just wasn't enough Yakumo in the manga to get me to like her more than Eri.

Which is why it bugs me over the other forum.. people saying they like Yakumo simply because she looks better.. or knows how to cook.. house stuff and what not..

what about the Manga? What about everything she's done? Are people really that dense to say they like her more over her opponent (Eri) because of her looks and not her performance.

To me Eri looks better than Yakumo (My Opinion), I never really cared about the cooking since I know how to cook myself.. and We know Harima can cook as well so it's probably more meaningful in a relationship when the guy does the cooking for the girl. Besides that.. going out to eat can be fun.. rather than always eating at home

I like Yakumo and all.. but I don't like her role in the manga. All I can say is that it's very lacking and most importantly not exiting.. or in other words boring

like the other girls.. Mikoto has her funny moments and pinches in some good comedy and Akira has her charm as well as her unusual way to take advances

Lala.. well Lala is lala, Ichijou is like Yakumo.. very sweet and cute but what really makes her shine is her humorous relationship with Imadori. And Tenma is a natural goofball

Poor Yakumo seems to be out of place in the manga, but she does have her moments when Tenma does her thing and she panics and says Nee-san nee-san. Or when her Crazy friends ask her about weird things such as Yaoi and she actually thought it was two men having cowboy... errr never mind

In conclusion.. there just wasn't enough Yakumo in the manga to get me to like her more than Eri.

Yakumo is the quiet type of girl, not everyone's type I guess^^
But in every harem-manga/anime there's often a quiet girl, so it's not right to say that she's outta place.

Altough some people like her because she's so quiet
She fills the missing kindness and "normal-human-being", because in "School Rumble" every, and really everyone is misunderstanding everything!!!!!^^

I can't decide on Yakumo or Eri because I really "love" both types of anime-girls

Eri was the first girl that I really like......
it started when the Eri and mikoto are fighting......
at firsts.... i was only getting interested whether yakumo likes harima or not....
but still eri is the one that I like that time.....

so.. when episode 17 of season 1 came in.....
thats when i have fallen inlove with the character(yakumo).....
thats when harima shuuji came to the tsukamoto house.....
it really changes my mind....
and i found out that i only like Eri because of her interactions with harima....
cause its really fun to watch a "the more u hate, the more u love" just like harima and eri..,also this kind of relationship has already has the other anime just like ranma and akane in ranma1/2
i love yakumo because of what she is..., even without harima....
i only like eri when shes with harima.....

I got the feeling that the pure passion in Harima's confession is what got to Eri initially. It really affected her and she just couldn't get Harima off of her mind after that. So as they continue to bother each other, she just started liking him more and more. And there's also the want what you can't have bit.

Eri just wants someone to love her for who she is. And she’s never met a guy that interacts with on such a real level as Harima. I think this plays a big part behind her feelings for him. Although unfortunately they aren’t reciprocated from Harima’s side…yet.

Man, the art work really went down this chapter. Some of the characters didn't even look like themselves at times. It was a fairly good chapter though. It had some pretty funny parts. From my point, Harimas confession was that strong and full of seriousness, that Eri was toutched(?). Since they knew eachother a bit, before he confessed, she realy thought, he meant it for real and still thinks so(He never said anything after this, that he misstaken her for someone else).

apart from that.. it's his fault for having the ridiculous pretty boy wanting to abuse Eri just because he has a grudge on him. So it makes sense for him to have the only guy capable of stopping her for his mistake

Max thinks Harima is in love with her, Harima tries to escape it and says that he's the one.

In the end.. it was Harima that saved Eri, and he did it in such a way that.. I don't think Eri is going to be thinking about any other man. Or pretty much.. it's Harima or a single life sort of deal

In any case.. that part about Yakumo saying "it's careless for him to fall for some one else just like that" is probably the worst thing she could have said, she doesn't know all the things that happened between them and it's not nice to contradict friends. But there is no character connection whatsoever. It seems that according for you Eri would fall for Max because... she would know he cares about her? Right, then Tenma will fall for Harima because he cares about her, right?

Sorry but it just doesn't go that way. Eri doesn't care about him. Even if she knew that he cares about her she would shrug it off - sorry guy, you are not my type. She already turned down hordes of guys who also cared about her, what makes you think that Max would not be one of the hundred? Even for Harima it took some time to make her fall in love, and he has few thousands longer screen-time appearance than Max could ever dream off. Just because a guy has scars and is the one of the shortest screen-time characters in SR doesn't make it that she would fall for him. It's just way too random.

It's just too silly. Eri has as much chances to fall for Max as Yakumo does. Unless you are saying that Yakumo is about to fall in love with Max too?

Eri can get any man in the world if she wants to, BUT she loves the ONE man in the world that she never can get or at least have small chances with. Thats what I love som much about the manga! I am a little for Eri x Harima but wouldnt mind Yakumo x Harima at all as I love Yakumo too.

With that said I must praise Harima Kenji for being one of the coolest (if not the coolest!) characters in the world, any business that is! There is so much about him. He is a goodhearted man even though he doesnt look like it, he has temper and would not mind a fight if it accured, he loves the one crazy girl most guys of his type wouldnt think of, he has great humor and takes life as it comes. His style is perfect, anything will fit him and you can see how many different clothes he wears through the manga. Think most girl will approve that he is good looking!

As much as I hate that possibility.. that's how it usually is. Please let this be another unique manga/anime where the main character over comes his weakness and heeds his true lovers call.

This whole.. getting back to the Main girl thing is so lame and predictable, so far there's only been two animes I've seen the MC stick with his obtional and better choice and the ends were pretty good and balanced.

I usually go for the obtional quite/silent/shy girl for romantic mangas.. or Tsunderes for Comedy, unless the main girl is already a Tsundere or the shy type. In this case.. we're stuck with goofy Tenma

While on the other hand.. Eri's thing is not to give up. She's said it countless times, but she did have her moments where she's thinking..

They must be doing good for themselves during her trip to deliver Harima's manga, then Nakamaru breaks the ice and ask Harima if he's seeing another chick.

I don't think she likes Yakumo all that much.. but doesn't hate her either, regardless still calls her "that girl" on different occassions. So I'm pretty sure Yakumo can't read her mind

I believe Akira is the first to know this things.. and uses it to her advantage especially with Hanai.

Akira knows Harima loves Tenma, she also knows that Eri loves Harima, but kindly tells her that if she doesn't make any moves some one else will get him.

But I think Itoko was the very first who knew about this and teased Harima to hell.. even going as far as wearing Tenma's wiggly thingy majigs.

I suppose Eri was the fourth to figure that out right after Yakumo, this effected Yakumo more because her sister was involved. But Eri was free to compete against Tenma

in any case.. Manga ended, Yakumo came back to the race and is up there with Eri for Harima's affection.

Eri-Harima became wandering delinquents after Harima gave up on his life as a Mangaka to pursue a new life, failing to stop him Eri decided to leave behind her life at the mansion and follow Hige to prevent him from doing anything stupid. Or so she says

Hanai- Failing to become governor, he decided to work as a detective and has made it his life long goal to Pursue and arrest the famous bearded delinquent.

Yakumo- would eventually become head of the manga company, and can be seen from time to time drawing away with such sad expression.. drawings of her beloved sister. But would always crack up when her favorite show is on, Beardy the third, as the famous delinquent pulls a fast one on the detective Hanai-gata

yeah that's why she broke up in the middle when she were (almost) confessing to harima

if u watch san gakki episode 25 again where harima is thinking (when the background turns white)after tenma says that she will never be happy anymore

I almost had to cry when I saw that scene, it was so full of emotions and it shows harimas sadness all in once, because if u watch school rumble harima is almost never giving up to try to make tenma his but now he is offering his love for her happiness

and the idea ojou giving up her mansion and her money is quite good hahaha xD

Those are really nice theories.

But one little important thing, Harima > Yakumo when it comes to loving that person. Tenma turned Harima's life upside down and completely changed him from what he was to some one who can socialize and actually make friends with people.

Harima himself hasn't really done anything beyond the usual being his goofy ass self, but has actually acted quite normal around Yakumo.. but still not enough to make Yakumo fall completely head over heels and give up on life.. like he would with Tenma.

I love Yakumo very much, but.. as I've said earlier, due to the lack of options and story relation non-Tenma related.. she is stuck in a world of repetition, a cycle maybe.. work-help Harima- watch Harima go- friends bug about it and so on, but in that cycle there are some clashes that are intensified.

Out of all his possible love interest.. Eri was giving the most freedom, being in the same class and all.. easily able to approach him or make up an excuse to be near him. Tae can't date students.. and Yakumo had to be called on or deliver news about the Manga progress.

With that out of the way...

I'll just like to say, Karasuma was quite shocking.. when I heard him yell that he loved Tenma and this wasn't another crazy alien manga of Harima.. I knew right away an ending with TenmaxKarasuma would be canon, but...
