I'm reading Lost Canvas scans (Chapter 113) and this manga is just awesome in my opinion.

Well ok it's just a basic shonen but it's far better than Naruto, Bleach, D.Gray-Man and others... for me.

First volumes are a bit difficult to read I think, but from volume 3 it's better and better for me (We can see Albafica, Minos).
But, I'm not sure Lost Canvas will please everyone... (I am a Saint Seiya fan btw). It's just a shonen ha ^^ and saint seiya fan could be angry against Kurumada's manga clone character....

But I recommend this manga for everyone who like shonen or saint seiya or Yuzuriha (... :D).

Chara design seems basics at the begining, but it become better and better. Gold Cloth, or surplis are awesome. Characters are very beautifull like Albafica Gold Saint of pisces, Yuzuriha (love it ^^), or Kagaho Bennu. Fights are really good and cloth are nice!

I wait for the anime, I hope it will be good.

I also noticed this manga recently. This manga is quite good. I will leave two spoilers, one good, and one bad, for ppl to check out and decide if they wanna follow the manga :heh:

Every gold saint rocks (so far)....Even the Cancer one rocks (he is maybe the strongest one....)!!! If you are born under the sign of Cancer and feel frustrated by the Saint Seiya magna/anime, you can't miss this manga :heh:

Everytime when gold saints introduce themselves, they are going to die..one by one (with the exception of two you-know-who gold saint)..Each gold saint has about 10-15 chapters to show his ability,then got killed, and next gold saint appears, show his power, got killed...and next gold saint appears...

Wow it's so awsome their are others who like the manga like I do! :D Well justavisitor the thing is that if you read the original saint seiya manga series you would know
Ares Shion and Libra Dokko were stated to be the only surviviors of the previous holy war aka the one going on in Lost Canvas so ya it kinda sucks knowing that more than half these characters might die (unless the author had a good change of heart)

I know that lol, but I was expecting more of:
Team fight...the way it potrays now is like gold saints are lining up to accept their death sentences one by one...but then again, from original saint seiya, we know that all saints have to fight 1 on 1...so :heh:

I prefer Sasha more than Saori too, she's prettier, and she's doing more things :D. But I prefer Yuzuriha and her mini short *___*. Pandora is not bad too in last chapters, like Seraphina.

I agree with Justavisitor about these bad things of Lost Canvas like:

We see a Gold Saint, he fights a specter, and he dies after a really good fight (it's not alway like that but well we know that everyone will die except Shion and Dohko).

But Teshigori surprises me sometimes, like the moment:

-where Cancer Manigoldo came to Thanatos.
-when Thanatos is captured by Sage. It's so soon...
-Minos already dead in volume 3...
-The fight Aldebaran/Kagaho, I though Aldebaran would die, but no.
-Degel/Kardia go to see Poseidon, it is a really good idea. I would hope this arc lasts more longer.
-It's a pleasure to see Cancer being so good in Lost Canvas. One of my favorite character of Lost Canvas, with Albafica and Yuzu.

There are some little boring moments, like:
-volume 4 with Asmita, I don't like this character.
-There is the fight between El Cid/Dream Gods too, except the moment where -Tenma had his God cloth. He was awesome at this moment.
-We can say that words between characters (Tenma/Dohko) are too innocent sometimes.
-We don't see the great Shion we could saw in Kurumada Saint Seiya and it's too bad :/.
-Death of Saints are not really sad like it was in Kurumada Saint Seiya. But I think it will be better in anime. Too bad it's not Seiji Yokohama who will do the anime music. I hope Yato/Yuzu death will be very sad!

And I want to know more about Yuzu and I hope that we will see Seraphina/Poseidon in the future, but I think the Poseidon arc is finish with Degel/Seraphina death :(.

No, Lost Canvas is being done by Shiori Teshirogi. Kuramada is doing Next Dimension.

Funny enough, I like Lost Canvas better.

well i guess u cant really compare Lost Canvas to the original Saint seiya
because the manga skills has came so far since then..
But Saint Seiya was def the best manga back then... and it was my first manga ever haha :D

oh btw what i really like about Lost Canvas is that the fighting seems a little more realistic
where in the original Saint seiya..they just wave their arms and call out the move's name and the some crazy stars kinda thing appears and the background and somehow it hit the opponents lol.

oh and dont hate on Saori. its the Art difference and if you watch the anime
Saori's voice cover was old fashioned too coz again it was in the 80s lol

At begining of Lost Canvas, I think that there is too much Tenma fights with: "Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken!" and "Cosmos!" (it's logic, it's his attack...),Tenma fights are a little boring.
Well he's the basic hero of a shonen like Seiya was in the original.
But after some volumes, he becomes cooler, like Sasha/Athena but he's not a very charismatic character. Hadès is a little boring too at begining, but become more class. So I want to say that fights at begining of Lost Canvas are not really good. But when Gold Saints fight against specters, it becomes more interesting, and more impressive. At begining Shiori Teshirogi respected Kurumada's work too much I think.

About the anime of Lost Canvas, I am not very happy about the chara design. Characters are so ugly if you look at Teshirogi design. Look at that Sasha on my post up! Dohko seems very old!
Teshirogi design was awesome and I am very disappointed about chara design of the anime. I'm not telling anime will sux and i hope it will rox.... We will see when all these characters will move in a trailer...
If they ruins my Yuzu, I will... :frustrated:

I started to read this manga since quite some time now, and I finally catched up two days ago.

About the most recent chapters, I really thought that Manigoldo would be a jerk, but in fact, despite being a brat, he was a brave man.

The latest chapters were really good :)

Manigoldo was a cool dude.
I cried when he died . The scene where he delivered the pope's mask was a tearjerker.
The manga is still going good so far , which the final battle starting. They've all come a long way in this adventure.
chapter 124 was a tearjerker too. But that was expected
with Doko and Sion being the only survivor of this war , obviously , everyone else is going to die.

I follow the scans, so I didn't read your second spoiler.

I am at the chapter when Manigoldo's soul gives the Pope's helmet to another gold saint.

It was kind of sad, but I really like Manigoldo a lot now.. Also, Thanatos said that in his "weird space" not only the body will be destructed but also the soul. But I see that manigoldo's soul is still intact, and that's good :)

She has quite a character (that's why she has some fans, I guess ;) ), and her master is not really the typical guy who follows every rules, since he even refused to become the new Pope ;)

I don't want to spoil you, you should read it, it's good (actually, it becomes better and better during the second half of the manga ;) )

Am I the only one who's liking The Lost Canvas better than the original manga? I've liked the characters in this story much better, and I really like the relationship between Pegasus, Athena and Hades.

Even so, Tenma still needs to have a scene as grand as many of the ones Seiya had. Although, many of Seiya's scenes involved Deus ex Machina, and the bit with the God Cloth in chapter 77 did annoy me (although, Tenma would never have stood a chance against Morpheus otherwise).
Well it depends on people I guess.
the original Saint Seiya is very dear to me as it was one of my first anime ( liek , back when I was 3 or something ). So I won't deny that I have an automatic bias and consider it to be one of the most sacred thing ever.
now , I do enjoy Lost canvas , but , I enjoy it probably not for the good reasons.
Before Kurumada started to implicate himself more with Next dimension , The lost canvas was the closest thing we got from Canon continuity, so really enjoyed the whole ascpet of the mythos of Hades and his relation with the previous Pegasus who hurt him Twice !
And the fact that basically everyone but Sion and Dohko from the previous war died. So yeah , I love Lost canvas to see them all die. I guess that's probably twisted in some way.
But there's another meaning to it...
I worship ( not literally though ^^') everyone who is a gold saint. and obviously , I knew that they wouldn't go down without putting up some spectacular fight or move. So when they die , it's so epic , I yell " FUCK YEAH !", and I don't feel one bit sad about it because they go down like real MAN !
I do feel sad when some of the characters do die though , because the author just needed a reason to kill them, because in the end , canon or not canon , let's not fool ourselves here , everyone but Dohko and Sion is dying.

So there that wuz my 2cents.

well you don't really need to read the original seiya in order to read this manga..the original manga is popular enough..even if you never read/watch it before, you should know the story is about

5 guys that just can't be beaten..they fall down to the ground a lot but they simply won't lose..sometimes I think it's unfair for the bad guys to challenge them :heh:

Back to the manga discussion I wonder about
how can Dohko get revived lol..I mean, days if not months must have passed, and his "corpse" must have melted already :heh:..if he can be revived from basically nothing, why can't other saints got revived back..don't tell me that the bad guy somehow keeps Dohko's "corpse" for some ridiculous reason :D

Indeed, and that's one of the many reasons why I'm liking Lost Canvas better than the original, because in that one, at the end, the bronze saints always came up with some sort of miracle, especially in battles where they should have lost. On the other hand, in Lost Canvas we've seen Tenma's limitations, and Teshirogi uses Deus ex Machina far less than Kurumada.

Just sayin' , but hmm...
Really , Athena is the one who did most of the job.
during the sanctuary battle , She used her god cosmos to guide the saint. without her cosmos , they would have gone absolutely nowhere.
Same thing happened again during the Poseidon arc , and in the end , she came out of the pillar , and the just...put Poseidon back where he belonged.
Then in the Hades saga , again , everyone got the crap beaten out of them. Save for the 5 main who receive Athena's blood and almost achieved godhood. And when the gold saint felt her cosmos , they revived , only to die again for a greater cause. Then the final battle against hades happened , and again , Athena's blood saved them , then she got out of the jar , and she started fighting Hades. Then they did a 5 Somewhat-gods + one God vs 1 God.
while the final battle wasn't fair and square of whatever , I wouldn't call that Deus ex Machina. It's been there since the beginning, Athena's power , she just used it differently. Basically , all the bronze saint are , ever were , and ever will be are simply vessels for Athena so that she has the less amount of physical combat to do , since she hates fighting.
And what pretty much every of their opponent did , was underestimate the amount of love (if you can call that love) Athena had for her bronze saint.
And one last thing. The cosmos is infinite , The only limitation one has is physical. The 5 saints from the original always choose to overthrow those physical limits , be it their body destroyed to fight for what they believed in...which basically is Athena.
I won't deny it can be over the top for most though , I understand perfectly what you reproach it, not debating that point at all. Just felt like precising that well , Saint Seiya always stayed true to itself all the way , and that while the fight felt farteched and unfair , they we'rent really. You just don't go attack a fully awakend Athena and get away with it because she's more powerful than you, and you should know that , I mean damn , she's freakin Athena !
Now they are getting to maybe fighting Zeus and Cronus, yeah now that , that will be far fetched and full of Deus Ex machina , unless Artemis and friends helps Athena ^^'

just want to clear it up that I have no intention to attack the original story plot lol..I like Saint seiya..i read that manga first and then I am interested enough to read this lost Canvas :heh:

Just that I don't think those two mangas are too much related for the following reason

We have 5 heroes in the original manga, but in here, so far we only see pegasus from the original five, and perhaps phoenix from the enemy side and that's it, so you don't need to know the original 5 well in order to read this manga

other thing you may need to know is
1.Hades and Athena play "holy" game/war every 300 or so...their soldiers are willing to die in great number in every 300 years :heh:
2.Pegasus, the main hero of this story, can possess god cloth, a cloth that outshines even gold cloth..and the reason that Pegasus has god cloth seems to be related with the fact that Pegasus has always been the one to hurt Hades badly in every 300 years...so he has deep bonds with Hades and Athena :D
3.Soldiers from both sides, as well as Hades and Athena, can be reincarnated in every 300 years in order to start this "holy" war, but they don't have the memory of the past...even for Hades and Athena (I am not sure whether this applies to Hades and Athena, but it seems like it)

And the info in above is all you need to enjoy this manga..you don't really need to read the original manga lol..even if you don't read the info in the above, in my opinion you still won't get lost, except maybe for chapter 77, and ppl in above have already kindly explained it XD

two things though
1. Hades never uses his body , so he goes from body to body , so he always remember , normally , while Athena always reboots, though she remembers the normal things such as her brothers and sister in Olympus, ect.
Oh and according to what we know from Kurumada , Hades only tried to take over in the 15th , the 18th century ( Lost canvas/Next Dimension) and the 20th century (Saint-Seiya)

2.It's the bit about the god cloth. Actually , I'm pretty sure this one came out of nowhere in Lost Canvas. Well but then again , Lost Canvas isn't Canon , so Teshigori probably did whatever she wanted on that bit , BUT , normally , doesn't wear a God Cloth who wants to. If your armor doesn't have the blood of a God , and your Cosmos OVER9000 , then technically no , you can't wear a God Cloth. And I don't really remember Sasha giving blood to Tenma's armor.
Or did she ? really , don't remember.
I'm still waiting for an explanation anyway.

Thanks for correcting my post..I guess I can't remember those things in detail..

1. Yeah Hades and Athena should have the old memory..but it seems like the present memory has taken a huge priority over the old one...like this current Athena doesn't want to fight this current version of Hades (because he possesses his bro??) and Hades' personality also got influenced by his host..somewhat

2.Yeah that god cloth really comes out of nowhere..I guess Tenma got Sasha's blood when they were young ??:heh: You know kids always get hurt when they play together...but yeah, that god cloth's sudden appearance needs some explanation

3. I thought Hades starts the war every 300 years..never read any stuff/interview (besides manga..or is it in the original manga?? don't remember) from Kurumada, so I don't know Hades only tries to take over since the 15th century..Thanks for the info

Actually , it's a bit complicated .
The thing is , deities like Hades and Poseidon never uses their real body. In Hades case , it's because he was a narcissist and loved his body more than anything ( which can be understandable , I'd look like him , I'd want to preserve my body eternally too.)
So they go possessing suitable host. Thing is , they don't posses the host right away , they wait for the host to mature , and then what happens is not that the deity becomes the Host , but more like the Host becomes the deity. therefore , all the while being hades and thinking like Hades , Alone is still essentially Alone .

However in Athena's case , It's almost the same , albeit different.
I don't believe she has her original body anymore , for she always and resurrect everytime there is danger on earth , so she gets new human memories everytime , but she keeps her deities one. My guess is that , she however looks the same everytime , possibly , as in the latest chapters of Next Dimention ,Saori went to see her Sister Artemis , and she didn't make any comment her apperance . My guess is that if she looked any different , Artemis would probably have jested about it . Maybe.
Oh and yeah it was said in the manga a while ago the moments she though Hades. Before fighting hades in the 15th century , she fought against Gigas, Ares, and Poseidon during the age of myth, though according to my friend , it was also said she fought Hades once during the age of myth too. So I guess she thought against him 4 times.

And now for the rest
About that God cloth thing again , the problem is that the blood as to go on the armor , not on the saint , so even if they got hurt as playing as kids , it wouldn't change much.
Especially considering that a god cloth is actually but an illusion which occurs when one who's armor received a God's blood elevates their cosmos to the infinity , as explained by Saori in the last next Dimension chapter.

As for Dohko , erm , good question. I wonder how teshigori will get out of this one.

It seems the God clothes works differently in Lost Canvas. The sort-of-explanation that was given to us was that the Pegasus saint is a bit special; so, given the circumstances, he can pull things like this. It also seems Alone had a hand in this as well.

Yeah I think Alone in his own way is somehow trying to help Tenma, hence why Pandora trapped him in that weird dimension, in the hopes that he awakens fully as Hades. The God Cloth kinda threw me off a bit in Lost Canvas seeing as how we don't see the Pegasus clot recieve a god's blood, but it's also established that the Pegasus saint was always the most formidable foe, always damaging Hades so maybe Tenma is a special case.

I've just read the last chapter, 134 and it's very good. Chara design is absolutely awesome in these last chapters!

Temna is awesome, he's very powerful. Hades seems adult, and Sasha is beautiful :D.

We saw the fight between Eaque and Sisyphe (Sagittarius), and it wasn't too bad, but not a great fight. Like I said it before, chara design is awesome !

You know, after i finished reading the latest translated chapters, I just realized how depressing this series is compared to the original saint seiya with so many deaths left and rights, esp. on the side of Athena's saints. Meanwhile Hades's army seems to be doing fine and aren't really having a problem with it. Like for every specter to fall, about 20 Saint die as well LOL. To me it seems like this manga raises the question of not who will die but who WON'T die.

That is a good point. Hell those five boys were about the only ones who saved the world. Not even Athena herself was responsible. Sure she gave them SOME help, but I emphasize the "some" part when you compare it to how many times they've had to rescue her and see how her little her help compares to theirs.

I actually thought the deaths of the gold saints were poorly handled in the original. Aioros was dead from the very beginning. The ones who died in the sanctuary were, technically, bad guys at that point (with the exception of Kamus and Shura - their deaths were indeed sad, though) - so, no much sympathy for them. And the battles in Hades arc were far too underwhelming. We didn't get to see Aldebaran's battle - he was dead when we saw him. Shaka was awesome, to the point in which he was basically godly, but he basically made those 3 kill him on purpose. Mu, Milo and Aiolia got their asses handed badly by Rhadamanthys. Dohko died when they destroyed that wall. The only one who got a good battle and death, in my opinion, was Kanon.

In comparison to that, the deaths in Lost Canvas have delivered much more emotion, in my opinion.

Oh, I think the death of gold saint in the original were awesome. Of course, i'm not speaking of death of bad guys like Deathmask or Aphrodite:

-Death of Camus
-Death of Shura
-Death of Shaka (Hades sanctuary)
-Death of 3 gold saints: Saga, Shura and Camus
-Death of Shion (Aries)
-Death of Mu/Aiolia/Milo
-Death of Aldebaran
-Gold saint's sacrifice for elysion

But there were a lot of moments which are very sad like

-Shiryu's sacrifice with his eyes against the Silver saint
-Sacrifice of Shiryu against Shura
-"Death" of Hyoga against Camus
-Hyoga in a coffin of ice. "Farewell Hyoga! Sleep, O Brave One"
-The black saint Dragon who speak about friendship

For Hades arc's battle, I though there were awesome, but that is my point of view.
About death in Lost canvas, I think Teshirogi don't give a lot of time about tears and other things. But perhaps in the anime, it will be very sad, because of music.
I think the Kurumanga was very bad but the anime was very good (except some arc like Poseidon) because of music and emotion.

I hope Teshirogi will do some bad guys like in Asgard arc, the character background in this arc were very good, because there are too many villain character in Hades group...

I saw Lost Canvas trailers and OAV 1-2 in screener version, i don't like the soundtrack (the one who make D.Gray-man soundtrack).
It's not bad, but not as good as the original (Yokohama) in my point of view.

There were character popularity poll in 2007 but today, I don't know. Too bad ^^.

Just read ch. 104 and now I'm wonder.. Who will gain the god Poseidon's help, or will the god even bother helping anyone at all for that matter. I think he might help out Athena, due to the fact that he sees Hades as a threat as well. In the original saint seiya manga, during the hades arc, Poseidon's soul help deliver the gold cloths to the 5 bronze saints in the underworld to help them out. So it'll only be natural he'll help Athena fight Hades just so he can get a turn at taking over the world

I just saw the first episode of the lost canvas ova and I must say it does look pretty good. Too bad it can't just be an anime series so we could see more episodes quickly instead of waiting months for 1 or 2 episodes to appear.

About OAV of Lost Canvas, yes too bad it's not an episode/week but the quality would be not the same. Look at animation, landscapes of Lost Canvas! I think you couldn't do that if it's a TV serie.

Yet I can't even imagine how many years will pass before the entire Lost Canvas series is animated. They started animating the Hades saga in 2002 and finished in 2007 and that was a saga.

I feel bad for Sisyphus...no one stopped him when he took his heart out..and after he took his heart out, the good guys discover that A.E is all it needs...so Sisyphus took his heart out for nothing!!! :heh:, plus the poor guy has to stand up again and uses the A.E since A.E requires 3 gold saints to combine their power...I feel bad for Sisyphus, but I can't stop laughing..Sisyphus's death is kind of pointless XD

I read chapter 140, and I didn't like it. But as alway, chara design is awesome:

What the hell with Athena Exclamation on a door. That's a little ridiculous. Well, you will tell me about the wall of lamentation in the original Saint Seiya, but I think Athena Exclamation in a door is a little bit excessive. Sisyphe die, but get back on one's feet to do Athena Exclamation without heart...

When Shion speaks about Athena Exclamation, he didn't speak about an interdict attack, but of a missing person to do this attack. And Shion who use an interdict attack will become the new Pope? OMG. If there are other doors, they will do another Athena Exclamation? :D

The malediction of Pharaoh is a good idea, the death of Sisyphe is cool in begining (I hate this character!), but when it comes to Athena Exclamation in a door; well it was very bad in my opinion. And Pharaoh was a lame character...

I hope Shiori will do somes chapters like it was at begining with Albafica vs Minos.

I'm waiting for Gemini, perhaps we will have a Radamanthys VS Gemini again... like in the original Saint Seiya. I hope it will not be the case.

Dokho is living because he will be the survivor of this war, with Shion. Perhaps he will be a specter, and will fight Shion... And again, Shion versus Dokho...

I hope next chapter will be better.

Just read chapter 142 with archange traduction, not bad and design is alway awesome...

But I hate Shiori, why Tenma is the only one from the group Yuzuriha/Yato/Tenma who haven't be changed into rock. Too much classic... Something original would be nice sometimes... WHy it's not Yato or Yuzuriha for one time?
Now it seems we will have a Tenma VS Caron again, holy shit...

Well I like words of Yato about his relation with Tenma, I like the moment when yato is changed into rock. I was sad, but we know that they are not dead, fortunately I want to say :D. They need a better death...

About the talk between Yato/Yuzuriha/Tenma, it was really cool :D. I love Yuzuriha!

What I dislike about Lost Canvas are dialogues. The design is awesome but why Shiori must make so pathetic dialogue... Sometimes it's really ridiculous.

Athena's ship is sinking. Caronte tells Regulus, Shion, Tenma and Sasha that the only way to continue is using his boat. The price he asks for is Athena's hair. Sasha cuts off her hair but apparently, the offering allows Hades to seal the power of the goddess.

It's disappointing to see that Yato and Yuzuriha will do nothing (for now...). Too bad, these characters were cool, specially Yuzu chan. I hate Shiori, her design is awesome but her script is so bad...

And Sasha is a dumb character, she's not better than Saori... Now she's just an human... Well, she's pretty, only that. Now, what Sasha can do? She will do nothing, and Tenma will save her, like Saori. Too much Saint Seiya, too much Kurumada, too much idiot in my opinion. Shiori is s a female mangaka and what is she doing with female character? Nothing... Pfff.

About the script, now we know that there are temples with specters (same level as Minos/Rada/Eaque), and our heroes must pass all of them... Very intelligent script from Shiori. Kurumada isn't the autor?

Well Suikyo in Next Dimension is Tenma's master and he's the Silver Saint of cup (it seems that it's Crateris in english?). Well I think it can be a good idea because we can see Eaque again. And I like him :D, he's cool. It would be pleasant to see a fight between Kagaho and Eaque (but he must win) or Radamanthys vs Eaque.

AND I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING: THE FUCKI!?! legendary Shion of Saint Seiya is so ridiculous in Lost Canvas, What a shame...

Kurumada merely supervises Shiori's work, some even say that he is actually behind the main script while Shiori merely illustrates the work...
Anyways, Athena's role isn't too much of a surprise. She was always the damsel in distress in the original work (so much for the Goddess of war and wisdom lol) and it was only a matter of time before she fell in the same role.
Regarding the guardians of the temples I hope we get to see at least Harpy Valentine and/or Myu Papillon among them...

I don't think Kurumada supervises Lost Canvas, I think Shiori is just a fangirl of Saint Seiya and Kurumada sensei; it's just boring. She can't do something original (ok she did Kagaho, Violate, Yuzuriha...). But well, if Kurumada really supervises Shiori, I would not be suprised... Lost Canvas became a "fan art" of Saint Seiya. Ok i go too far :D.

About Athena, yeah it's not a surprise, that's why Shiori is just a bad fangirl of Saint Seiya. She can do some new stuff about Saint Seiya. She makes some good girl character like Yuzuriha or Violate (Well... and I'm nice about that). She's a girl, why can't she make a good Athena for one time? No originality... That's very boring!
I don't want Sasha become like Saori who have a role at the end of the manga...

About Myu and Valentine, well I would prefer some news specters like Kagaho or Violate... Specters from Kurumada manga were not the most interesting...

Well I think Shiori can do something different from Kurumada manga. Why she must make a dumb Athena? Why can't she make good Shion and Dokho? For example, there are a lot of things to do with Saint Seiya.

We will see 3 new judge (with Kagaho) and there is a Dokho VS Kagaho :D. Well, don't know if this summary is a fake... It seems.

The story is getting f*****g nonsense.

- Teshigori somehow brought back the "stairs to climb", "enemies to fight one by one", and donzelle in distress to save. That's ridiculous. Is been 20 years we have been getting the same storyline again and again, in the original manga or in the numerous fanfics. But no, here we have to go again with Saints having to go through the Lost Canvas, fighting guardians to open doors in order to save the world. Even Okada managed to avoid this.

When this war was told as being the deadliest one in Athena's battles history, I would have expect some kind of epic battlefield with many Saints or Specters fighting to death. A real war as Okada depicted in his side story (even if he only shows the end of that war, you can guest it from seeing the whole ground covered by countless corpses.).
But no, Teshigori dragged it into a mere "powerful specter kill some Saints, then a gold come and send him to hell", as ridiculous as what happened in the Inferno Chapters : 11 Saints (Kanon, Dôko, Orpheus and the Bronzies) taking down most of the 108 specters and the Twin Gods.
And Hades is said to be Athena's deadliest opponent.

- There's something wrong with the way Teshigori dealt with her characters. She made her Gold Saints dying a bit too soon IMO. Because now we have the Specters guardians (supposed to be strong I guess), Kagaoh and MK II Rhadamanthes against Shion, Mr Genius, Tenma, Dôko and Deuteros. Maybe Shirori sees here the opportunity to build Dôko and Shion's legend, giving them the opportunity to take down most of those powerful Specters and give Athena the final victory (while Deuteroxor might have some double kill with MKII Rhada like Kanon).
But it's quite a shame having wasting powerful opponents like the Gods of Dream and the Twin Gods (even if Thana's death gave one of the most epic battle seen in Saint Seiya). So now she has to power up middle range specters (or higher ones like Wyvern) in order to match the remaining Gold Saints.

- And yeah, how the fucking hell Deuteros got that blood and knows only half of the story. "Magical Powers, has something to do with the statue so ya have to bring it there... but dunno what will happen next... That stupid geezer died before telling me the whole story".

Makes me wonder how Hakurei nor Sage did not tell Sasha about her armor.

Speaking of Deuteros. It's funny that this time, the real Gemini Saint seems to be the "bad one". Makes me wonder about his story and "kind face".

This war is the deadliest in Athena's battles history? Oh yeah we never see the atrocity of war, except the death of Saro! That's too bad. I though this story would be sad and other thing, but there is nothing!
In my opinion, epics battles were Albafica's fight, Aldebaran's fight, Manigoldo's fight and Kardia's fight (well Shiori make Kardia's death ridiculous now..). Latest fights are very boring (Sysiphe, Regulus, El Cid).

And yeah, now Shiori must give a power up to middle range specters because Eaque/Minos are gone. I hate the Gods of Dream, their fight against El Cid was boring in my opinion. I hate this arc!
But the fight between Manigolo/Sage VS Thanatos, Hakurei VS Hypnos were very good in my opinion. These battle are epic! I hope Shiori will do something as good as these. I hope Deuteroxx will come soon because I hate Dokho/Shion/Regulus/Tenma/Sasha... And why she transformed Yato/Yuzuriha in stone! These characters could do something good... And too bad she doesn't use Silver saint. She can use Unity and Suikyo too...

Haha about Deuteroxx, I wonder the same thing. I hope Shiori will explain everything about Deuteroxx and why Sage didn't say anything to Sasha!

In my opinion, ATHENA EXCLAMATION is the main reason that ruins both the original and this "Lost Canvas" manga..the saints refuse to use this technique because it will damage...their reputation!! So they are willing to see their comrades fall down one by one instead

Well i like the Athena Exclamation in Kurumada's manga, the death of Shaka was sad! I like the way Shura/Saga/Camus used this attack.
But in Lost Canvas,

they use this attack on a door!? What the hell, Sysiphe die because of a door! That's so lame! His death is ridiculous! Well now, we will not see Sagittarius anymore so I'm happy but... I hate the way Shiori used the Athena Exclamation.
Well now we know that the Pope of Saint Seiya, Shion, used an Athena Exclamation against a door... Haha he's a legend for that! :D

About using Athena exclamation, it's similar to a previous war against Poseidon (don't remember exactly) where saints hadn't got cloth because of Athena.

A.E indeed looks cool in Kurumada's manga, but the cost is too trivial lol...why would they care about their reputation when their comrades or the citizens they wanna protect die right in front of their eyes?? Use A.E and blast it right to Hades...mission accomplished

Kurumada should make the user of A.E to lose 2 senses...and when 12 gold saints try to combine their power and break the wall, Kurumada should require every gold saint to master the 8th sense and they will die using that power (which they did, tho...and I think the author hints that every gold saint masters the 8th at the end, but he should make it more clear)

I actually don't mind they use A.E to blast the door, what I do mind is why they didn't do that in the first place!!! Instead they obey to that silly request and end up losing a gold saint..(come on, that's a bad guy and you know he will cheat :heh: !!!)

Anyway, now they don't have enough ppl to use A.E anyway, by the time Dokho makes it there, I bet Leo won't be there anymore XD

Well... what made an Athena Exclamation so "taboo" is the fact that it can be used by 3 Saints again one enemy... what is supposed to be coward, unfair, disgraceful. So... a mere door is not an enemy and in a way I understand why Shion or Sasha did not really hesitate. They just need raw power to destroy the door.
But yeah, that was a retarded way to introduce a technique that hold a such dramatic mean in the original Story for just a door.

Alba, I don't really agree with you about Sasha. She was about to end this war by herself and may have succeed if Pandora (whose dress is showing more and more skin) did not appear. She took the initiative and chose to strike.
Never Saori has acted like that. Still, that hair incident showed how naive she can be.... And it is a way for Shiori to show how she is reading religiously what Kurumada sama is doing since he is copying his newest ideas (That and Suikyo :p).

About Athena Exclamation, well I think the reputation of a knight is important. There are something like that in Samurai code no?
Sure Saints could use Athena Exclamation for every ennemy until Hades come :D...
But I don't think this attack would work against Hades, he's too strong! At the begining of the manga, he could kill everyone no?

For Sasha/Saori:

Well Saori wanted to end the war against hades too when she went to hell no? And She "killed" herself with Saga's dagger! In a certain way, Saori did a lot of things, but she's so boring. She used her blood to liberate Shun (the same technique used by Sasha against Alone in last chapters). She fought Hades with her cloth and killed him.

But what I really want to see is an awesome fight with Athena (with her cloth)! In Lost Canvas, Sasha didn't do much more than Saori in my opinion. But I think it's impossible; Shiori can't do something original (she take Suikyo, Athena cuts her hair, Athena's blood...). Well I think Sasha will do something at the end, with her cloth but why at the end! Hadès doesn't wait the end to kill some people :D, that bastard killed Hakurei!

Another thing, which is very annoying in Lost canvas, is the fanservice with females characters. She's a female autor, why she must make female character weak (except Violate perhaps...) and it seems they are only here for fan service (Sasha, Seraphina, Pandora, Yuzuriha, Violate for example). FMA autor doesn't need to make these sort of things...
A bit fanservice is OK but in last chapter, I think there are too much of this !?!? which can destroy some characters in my opinion... I hope the final battle of Yuzuriha will not be a "nude fight"...

We had already seen the birth and the raise of a new Athena, but never her last days. Maybe Teshi will make her story last enough to get that answer in Kurumada-sama's Next Dimension since she is unable to get fresh ideas by herself.

About females in Saint Seiya :
I had the same feeling about Episode G. At first I though that at last we would get strong female warriors with the Titanides. And yeah seeing Themis kicking two Saints at the same time in a very badassly way was very, very joyful.
BUT... it did not last long. If I quite understand what happened to her next (it was a very beautiful moment), Okada put her female Titans out of the way using a ridiculous plot device.
So Rhea, Theia, Thetys, Phoebe : game over... (so far ?)

Even Gaia supposed to be the real big boss of the story seems to be no more than a puppet in Pontos's hands (most evil vilain seen in Saint Seiya history).
Quite leaving me in despair, actually.

But in a way Okada twisted the "donzelle in distress" cliché since Lithos not only manage to escape by herself but... she managed to drag Cronos with her. :heh:
And Aiolos' former "girlfriend" may dig out the key to own Pontos. I mean, if Saga sent her back to Egypt, he my though that the answer is there and that she can discover it.

Violate was a very beautiful character. It's a shame that Shiori took THAT long to give to her specters a real will more than "I obey to Hades, I a vilain, that's all". In a way Aiakos was a very interesting one too.

So far I think Sasha is more of an interesting character, she is not ALWAYS in need to be rescued... unlike Saori. She just made my blood boil at times.. that Saori.
Right now i am just having so many expectations on Defteros, I guess he waited for so long to show up just so he could fight the strongest warriors. It would be nice that what he does connects as to why Saga, in the modern era, is evil.

Sasha is Alone's sister, ok; but it's only an excuse for Shiori, in my opinion! She can make some fight with Sasha! Well Sasha came and freed Sysiphe for example, but Saori did a "lot of things" too! I hate this character, but we can't say that she didn't do anything too: she saved Shun with her blood, she fought Hades and killed him, she committed suicide with Saga's dagger to come in Hell which is brave.

For now, I can't say Sasha is better than Saori. I prefer Sasha for sure, she looks cute; but I hope Shiori will give more time to Sasha! Why not a real fight with Sasha against specters or anything else? Hades came and killed Hakurei for example...
Females characters looks so weak... And with last chapters, it seems to be the same again: Athena's powers are sealed :/. Well you can say Violate was strong, but she lost against the genius :D, that's why I'm a bit sceptical... And like every female characters of Lost Canvas, Violate's fight had fan service (surplice broke so we can saw that she's a girl...). Violate's death was beautiful, and her relationship/link with Eaque was cool. I really want to know the story of Suikyo, but I think Shiori doesn't know how he became Suikyo because Kurumada doesn't do Suikyo's background yet... I love Eaque, he looks so cool, I hope he will help Saints and kill some specters (Kagaho/Rada :D).

In my opinion, Shiori wait the end and Sasha will do something when she received her cloth like Saori, too bad....Except if Kurumada had a good idea in Next Dimension and give an idea for Shiori :D.

For the end, I really want to see why this war was called "the deadliest in Athena's battles history", so I don't want an happy end! But for sure, Shiori will do this... She could change the story and make Sasha/Tenma/Yuzuriha/Yato survive, it will not surpise me....

Oh and I wait DEUTEROXXXXX too :D. GALAXIAN EXPLOSION!!

We can see Deuterox, he looks cool ;). He said that Kagaho saved Dokho when he was pierced by Hades. It's him who took dokho to Kanon island.

Pandora seems mad lol. I like her back but why she became like that :( (I prefer the Pandora from Kurumada's manga).

Radamanthys is in berserk mode. We can see Valentine, Sylphide, Queen, Gordon.
And finally, it seems we will see a fight with Dokho :D.

Chapter 145 with traduction: I think Pornodora is OK here, because in last chapters, there are too much fan service on her (WHY! She was cool in firsts chapters). We saw her back, and there are no focus on her boobs :D.
I hope Shiori will do a good story for Pornodora like it was in Kurumada's manga.

Basilisk have a good design in Lost Canvas :D.
It seems the berserk mode of Radamanthys is due to Hades blood. Well I always hate the return of Radamanthys. Shiori saw there are no more awesome specter like Minos/Eaque/Radamanthys, so Rada must come back; and Kardia's death seems so useless :(. Well, now Rada have a mega boost power up :D.

It seems we will see a final battle Dokho vs Kagaho. So Shion will kill somebody important? (perhaps news specters?)
Radamanthys vs Shion would be interesting and new, but I'm sure Shiori will do a Rada vs Deuteroxxx and a Shion vs Myu :/. Well it's not bad too...

About the fight Dokho vs Queen/Gordon, yeah he will do his attack and it will be finish fast :D. Very origina, Shiori!

I don't agree with you about awesome fight, i love Saga/Manigoldo vs Thanatos, Hakurei vs Hypnos, Radamanthys vs Kardia (well now i hate this fight because Rada is back!).

As for Shion... well, he's gonna strike the whole guardians crew until MKII Rhadamanthes who will face Deuteroxx. So in a way, forcing the path leading to the Boss. May be he will deal with Pr0ndora allowing Sasha and Tenma to focus on Alone. Not that bad, actually.

As for Pr0ndora I dunno if we need explanations. I mean she seems to be more or less Persephone, aka Hades' wife in the traditional Greek mythology. Explaining why she is SO devoted to him (in opposition, Pandora only cared about the part of her brother she saw in Shun (and she betrayed him after he left Shun's body).

About Pornodora, well I liked her story in Kurumada's manga, so I hope she will have a good background (for saint seiya...of course :D). She was kawaii in her flashback *__*, and her death is beautiful in my opinion. There are a lot of character who don't need explanations but I think it's interesting to have some flashback about the character.

For Shion (I hate him and Shiori! )

I hope those guardians are awesome (and original)... If not, Shion will have boring battle.

Well... hight range specters but below the Judges... not may be quite powerful.

Expect to see a "Myu vs Shion". But as far as I remember, Mu did kick the Fairy's ass pretty hard and easily... so cake for Shion, I think.

I am more expecting a real battle from Rune actually. The Hokuto no Ken "You are already dead but you don't know it yet" that Kanon did on him didn't give respect to his rank and power. Maybe he will be the one to take Regulus down digging out a very deep and frightening secret.

Well, since he told Mu everything he knows, I think that he masters the Starlight Extinction as well.

Why he did not use it until now ? Maybe because that technique is quite something. It can be seen like the death of a massive star. First it unleashes great power, then becomes a "black hole" swallowing everything around. We have a good look of that part in EpG when Mu countered Titan Japet's "alternative space" attack with the Starlight Extinction (one of the coolest move I have ever seen in Saint Seiya...).

So with Athena around each time Shion had to strike (when he saved her and Tenma from Raimi, when he had to take the "renegade" Silver Saints and last week in that boat) I can't see him using such frightening technique.

- Albafica took down Minos with him and I think that he was more "vulnerable" since he tried to protect the Rodrigo village while fighting.
- Rasgado had an incredible fight against Kagaoh and defeated him (THIS is the fight I am waiting to see animated), he died while protecting Tenma even if he was still deeply wounded.
- El Cid stroke 4 gods. He got a little help from Syphus to build his finish blow but he still stood against them alone.
- Mani and Hakurei got Thanatos
- Degel sealed Poseidon's incarnation
- Syphus... Aiakos down, owned Pharaoh and, seriously wounded and with no heart left, managed to unleash an Athena Exclamation

Actually the only one who seems to have "failed" was Kardia since Rhadamanthes managed to get back to Hades... alive. But I dunno why, I'm quite expecting him to comeback....

Are left Genius, Shion and Dôko (who are to survive) and... Deuteroxx (can somebody really think that this guy is going to die easily ?)

So I don't agree with you. In the opposite Shiori is doing everything she can to make her so beloved Gold Saints as heroic and great as possible.

In the manga/anime, Mu have Crystal net too...
I always though that Stardust Revolution was the ultimate attack from Aries. Shion never used Starlight Extinction in Hades sanctuary...

About Kanon, I love these moments where characters from Saint Seiya close their eyes and say "pfff, you think you can kill me with this pathetic technique?" :D. Too bad, there aren't moments like that in Lost Canvas!
I hope Deuteroxx will be like that... but he doesn't seem to be arrogant but a bit mad (like Manigoldo).

And yeah, gold saints die fast... :( (except El Cid Capricorn, if he could die more faster, it would be a good arc :D).

Well specters that supposed to be powerful in the original manga got their asses kicked a bit quickly. Take a look at what happened to Pharaoh or Lyakon (who managed to knocked out both Shiryu and Hyoga and was defeated only because Kanon "pfft, already seen your technique, doesn't work twice. DIE !" was around) and worst of all : the Twin Gods !!

I think the opposite. Specters seem weaker... or Shirori was so obsessed by building heroic gold saints that she made look most of them look like smal fry (Violate, Behemoth and the two I talked about). Don't expect much from Basilic, Gordon or Mandragone.

That's why she brought back Rhadamanthes and give him a MKII surplice, for example.

As for Shion. Yeah, Stardust is the most powerful blow... but it just has raw destructive power and not necessary a one shot killer.
And I have always though that he was the one who managed to get DM and Aphrodite out of Mu's Starlight Extinction (like Mu dragged Seiya out of the one he stroke on him to send him in a safer place).
Crystal Net is no more than a special variation of the Crystal Wall (like Shun's chain) to fit in Myu's technique and ability. And Shion has already shown that he was able to make his defense evolve (see the "cube" he trapped Minos in). Nothing special, then.

Well these specters die quickly but it's the same for gold saints. I think some specters are strong, but their opponents too.

Look at the fight between Albafica and Minos, Minos lost because he was a bit arrogant and was killed by a tactic move from Albafica. And in Kurumada's manga, Minos didn't seem very good too... The death of Minos was a surprise for me because I don't expect a judge of hell to be killed so soon in the story!

The fight Sage/Manigoldo vs Thanatos, Sage used a "strategy" to shut up Thanatos. Like Minos, Thanatos was too much arrogant and has finished to be sealed (not really dead).

The fight between Hakurei vs Hypnos: Hakurei sealed Hypnos (not really dead). Like a lot of specters, he was too arrogant. Hey if Shiori brough back the twin gods, I will hate her much more...

I think these battle were awesome, they didn't win because they were stronger than their ennemy, but because they were intelligent and no arrogant.
And fights against the twins gods were very good and surprised me because they were sealed so soon in the story... I want to have moments like that when I read a shonen manga! But I'm a bit disappointed by the twins gods because I though they were conspire against Hades and they were the real bad guy of the story. That could be original...

But yeah, now Shiori saw that she haven't a lot of strong specters, so she

brought back Radamanthys.

The same can be said in the original Manga. If not Kanon, Rune would have defeated both Seiya and Shun and was killed by a vicious blow. Orpheus stopped Pharaoh when he was to take down Seiya.

Aiakos was too confident (but would have done serious damages to Kanon if not disturbed by Rhad') and Minos survived to a blow that killed Camus !

Well I finally caught up to the most recent Chapter, I must say, I’m ok on the series, definitely not like Episode G, as you read this series, and you can feel that holds the essence of the original Saint Seiya series.

But, I do had my problems, specially with reusing the attacks for every character, while it gives a nostalgic touch, it also shows a lack of imagination and innovation.

One of My main problem with the series has been the degree of importance Pegasus has received in the story, referring to the connection that exist between Him in Hades from the Mythological era, this connection was never exploited before in the Original series and Having Shion and especially Dokho knowing about the importance of Pegasus, they did not showed such importance to Seiya, and instead, tried to exclude them from that Holy war.

Also, Gold Saints are dropping like flies, while some deaths have made sense and don’t make you feel like they have been cheap. There are others that makes you want to vomit…..I really Hated how stupid Aquarius death was made, or how Scorpion effort to killing Radhamnatis was practically nullified. and how Virgo died without having a proper fight

Im not even going to mention Aldebaran, because it seems that his was fated to always die by the hands of a Low tier enemy. I also wondered why the Author choose as friend for Tenma the Bronze Saint Unicorn (ughhh), instead of using one of the classics like Dragon or Cygnus.

Now, I do give props to the author for finally bringing Justice to the Pices and Cancer saints, in the original series they were the laughing stock of the gold saints, here they Are cool and they kick ass.

I also liked how he handled the Sagittarius Gold Saint, his personality is a mirror of what Aioros was envisioned, a Saint that puts others before him and had a full devotion over Athena. What Im not sure exactly what the author tried to imply when Sysiphus died, if his feeling towards Athena was that he felt in Love with her or what
While I have a dear friend that post here that doesn’t like him that much, at least I was satisfied that we had a lived action Sagittarius for the first time (for me Episode G doesn’t exist…so)

The fights are all good and I cant rally say there are waste in the fights, While it has surprised me how earlier some Bad guys and Good Guys where killed or sealed, they still were good fights, some that can reach the status of epic and are up there with the best fights from the original series.

Also they are a lot of homage from the original series going on around here and there:

- Docko resting his wounds in the same island Ikki did before his fight vs Virgo.

- DEterous using his fingers to puncture Docko chest to heal him just as Black Dragon did to Shyryu.

- El Cyd Loosing the same arm Shura lost in his battle with Shyryu.

- Taurus puncturing his ears to loose the sense of hearing to avoid an sound attack, just like Sigfried did with Sorrento (I know this is filler, but it make reference to this)

- Pandora Sexy outwear.

I know I saw more of those homage’s, but Cant recall right now.

BTW, Albafica, I was really lucky that Lost Canvas was scanlated to the latest chapter in Spanish, so The need to wait for an English Scanlation was not there. :)

I agree with you about Tenma, it's strange but at the same time it's logic because Lost Canvas was created after Kurumada's manga (yeah it's not an excuse). I would prefer to have not that connection between Pegasus saint and Hades at the begining, it kills the show in my opinion. Lost Canvas is too much focused in Tenma sometimes...

About Gold saints' death:

Welll, i can't say nothing about Kardia, because it's so ridiculous! I love his fight against Radamanthys (especially his ultimate attack: Antares with left hand) but why Shiori had to kill this fight with the come back of Radamanthys! Kardia was so cool, and he saved Unity's ass. *vomit*

About Aquarius, I liked his fight and his death (with Seraphina) was beautiful, but I can understand why people didn't like it!

Virgo, I don't like the character at the begining so I don't care about his death :D. But too bad Shiori didn't do a real new virgo saint. Asmita looked too much like Shaka. Kurumada change his virgo in Next Dimension! Rah that Shiori! :D
Well, Virgo has appeared again in the manga, he spoke with Deuteroxx. I hope he will stay dead, I don't want a come back!

For Tenma's friend, I think it's more interesting to see Unicorn than Dragon, Cygnus, Andromeda again! Some originality please! And Unicorn is so cool! Too bad we don't see him so much, like Yuzuriha (my best character after Albafica :D).

I prefer Aldebaran killed by a noob specter than a double K.O. against Kagaho :D. It surprised me when I saw that Aldebaran survived against Kagaho, I though he would be dead. Taurus of Lost canvas was incredible and cool in my opinion. Well, I prefer Albafica and Manigoldo of course.

About Homage, you forget the "best" homage: Sysiphe who pierced his eyes => Shiryu!

Fights are all good?!? Oh my god, I hate some fights:
-El Cid ARC!!! OMG this arc kill me man :D.

Yeah Lost Canvas and Next Dimension don't share the same story (it seems). Characters are differents, stories are differents...
But there are some characters who are the same like Tenma, Shion or Dokho. And the story tooks place at the same time!

I think you should start with Lost Canvas! Next Dimension have only 17 chapters, and lost Canvas 146 chapters. And if you like theses 3 OAV, why not continue the manga :). If you want to start Next Dimension, you need to watch/read Kurumada's manga because like I said before, Next Dimension is a mix of Past (Tenma/Dokho/Shion) / Future(Shun/Athena/Artémis).

Cool another guy follows Lost Canvas :D. You like Sysiphe, you fool! :D
How can you like this guy! >_< I'm Sagittarius, I would like to love this character, but I can't! And his fight was....ridiculous! Boat battle... Hahahaha :D. Too bad, because his chara design was cool!

Well, I didn’t like the fight, but I understand what the author tried to with the character, as he tried to put in the flesh the whole Aioros mysticism (for me he nailed it).

About Gold saints' death:

Welll, i can't say nothing about Kardia, because it's so ridiculous! I love his fight against Radamanthys (especially his ultimate attack: Antares with left hand) but why Shiori had to kill this fight with the come back of Radamanthys! Kardia was so cool, and he saved Unity's ass. *vomit*

Yeah, The fight was cool, even the whole Burning heart was kind of cool, but having Radha come back to life just kills Kradias sacrifice.

About Homage, you forget the "best" homage: Sysiphe who pierced his eyes => Shiryu!

Fights are all good?!? Oh my god, I hate some fights:
-El Cid ARC!!! OMG this arc kill me man :D.
-Sysiphe vs Eaque is a bit ridiculous: boat battle! (well I want to see Suikyo again!)
-Regulus vs Violate (1 chapter to understand that he's fighting a girl? Real genius:D)

I can only agree on the Sysiphe and Eaque (Aiacos I guess?) The whole fight was more a classical Saint Seiya fight on convictions and beliefs, Both of them were shown to be Generals that had total opposites point of views.

Pornodora sexy outwear is an homage? I prefer Pandora from Kurumada's manga/anime

Well, this time around she had more sexy posses (like the one you showed here) than in Kurumadas work, Heck I can only recall when Ikki threw the trident at her that she open up her legs to avoid been hit….

PS: I don't see english scantrad which caugh up to the most recent chapter, it seems there are more french/spanish fans of Saint Seiya...

Yeah, the original series was really big in France, and in some countries in Latin America (that includes my country), reason why it was easier to find translated scans in these languages. And I think it reached US 15 Years too late..

BTW, at to what point spoilers tags should be used? I guess it should be up until the last english translated scan...

Now Now, if you see all of the Gold Saints, they all have their similarities in their Counterparts, I think that the only ones that could be different are Kardia, Aquarius, manigoldo and Albafica.

And even like that they shared something in common with their counterparts, For me the most similar are Sagittarius, Taurus, Virgo, Gemini (he reminds me of Kanon), Libra (ok..Needed to joke on that one).... While you see some aspect in Saints like El Cyd (proud warrior), Cancer (very extreme and lack of compasion), Aquarius (concern), Pices (beauty).

Yeah, my only nitppick about it is that they are not part of the Hades chapter made by Kurumada, so you have a continuity issue there.

Yeah Lost Canvas's Gold saints have a lot of similarities with Kurumada's manga, too bad in my opinion. I think it would be interesting to have some real news characters. In Lost Canvas, some characters have the same design (with Shiori style) and same nature... In Next Dimension, Kurumada changed the design, it's better (the new Virgo/Capricorn are cool).

Albafica, Manigoldo are a bit different yeah.

Albafica is a bishonen with blue hair and he's pretty. But the difference with Aphrodite is his nature because he doesn't care about his beauty and that's why this guy is awesome in my opinion. He never give up! When he speaks about his cosmos to Minos, it was so cool!

Manigoldo looks like DeathMask but he's not really a "bad" guy like DeathMask, he is very good at heart. He tease, joke, well he's the real classic hero :D. He could joke while he's going to die. And like Albafica, he never give up.

These 2 saints are my favorite of Lost Canvas because they are very different from Aphrodite/Deathmask from Kurumada's anime/manga. I was very disappointing about Pisces/Cancer in Kurumada's manga especially in Hades sanctuary where Mu owned them so easily :D.

About original specters of Lost Canvas, yeah we don't see all specters in Kurumada's manga. And we don't see all saints in it too, Kurumada said perhaps we will see them in Next Dimension or another future project...

Oh no! Shion is part of the show! He's the strongest saint of Saint Seiya! Look at the taizen :D (he is perfect in everything). Except Shion, the strongest saint is Mu of course! Yeah Aiolos... Not my opinion :D. Yeah they will say that Aiolos was not focused against Shura gnagnagna :D. Well Kurumada said that a 1VS1 Gold saints fight can be finished in one move or last 1000 days :D (we never see that).

OMG I hate Ikki! Cool Seiya owned him at the begining... Hahaha :D
My favourite Bronze saints of Kurumada'mangas is Hyoga, he looks cool, have a good story, cool technique, have emotions! But he was owned by ikki...

Well, some people like it, some people say it never existed :D.
I read 16 chapters of Next Dimension and it's a good begining in my opinion.
Shiori takes some ideas from Next Dimension, for example:

(Past) Aiacos=Suikyo (the name Kagaho said to him in Lost Canvas).
He was human, and Tenma's master but now he's a judge of hell.

(Future) Athena cuts her hair to see Artemis (in Lost Canvas, Sasha did it too).

It wouldn't suprise me if Shiori take other ideas from Kurumada... Fangirl...

But it's a bit strange to have a mix of Past/Future. We know that Kurumada always wanted to finish his manga and do the Tenkai arc; but I didn't think he would do it in Next Dimension.

Well a 3 VS 1 and a 1VS 1 battle is different. Shaka had some difficulties to take Shura/Camus/Saga at the same time (it's logic :D), especially in the manga. Shaka can't beat them, he know that!
So Shaka is not stronger than Saga. And yeah Saga didn't have his gold cloth, so he's not as resistant as Shaka :D. The best is Mu, he can take easily 2 Gold saints at the same time: Cancer and Pisces. Ok it's just Aphrodite and DeathMask but they are Gold saints ha :D.

And we all know that the strongest character of Saint Seiya is Seiya ha :D.

Tenbu Horin is not a killing blow. That's why he use it on Ikki. "You can wake up from death ? Ok, then I will bring you halfway, so you won't bother me anymore".

Well... as far as I remember, he was portrayed as a narcissist one only in the anime and worst, in the Abel movie. In the original manga still he was aware of his beauty he wasn't that proud nor that girlie... quite like Albafica.

Manigoldo looks like DeathMask but he's not really a "bad" guy like DeathMask, he is very good at heart. He tease, joke, well he's the real classic hero . He could joke while he's going to die. And like Albafica, he never give up.
He is more a "what if" Deathmask, actually. But Kardia may be the closest one to DM, I think. He doesn't care about Athena or whatever, all he wants is to pick a fight and make his heart burn. And while Milo used Scarlet Needle as a compassion blow, Kardia used it in a sadistic way. (but funnier, actually :heh:). Milo was one of the coolest Gold Saint out there (I remember when he lectured Kanon : great !) too bad that Okada turned him to a mere sidekick to the hero like Yato.

As for Yato I also wondered why the Author choose as friend for Tenma the Bronze Saint Unicorn (ughhh), instead of using one of the classics like Dragon or Cygnus.
May be because Kurumada intended to make the Unicorn part of the main group at the fist place. But he stepped back when he realized that his temper was too close from Seiya's. In a way Teshigori payed justice to that initial intension, since she don't have to deal anymore with the same "codes".

About Deathmask, yeah we can say that he could be a Manigoldo in differents circumstances. But well, for me Deathmask is a bad guy in Kurumada's manga, he killed people (and show it :heh:). Manigoldo is cool :p, I like his sense of humor while he's in a bad shape.

What I like about Kardia is that he doesn't care about Athena. That's cool :D. And I like "arrogant", "mouahahahah", "sadistic" characters who are in the good side. I don't remember exactly but Manigoldo doesn't care about Athena too. And it seems Deuteroxx is that kind of character :D :D.

I agree with you about Milo, he's one of my favourite Gold saints too, his confrontation against Kanon was memorable! Scarlet Needle is a cool attack but some people say it's weak >_<. Antares!!!

Scarlet needle is one of the weaker attacks in saint seiya. Come on, you have to hit an opponent 13 times (or is it 16? i forgot) for it to work to its full potential, and its not exactly a fast attack. The only time scarlet needle brought an opponent down was the fight between Milo and Hyoga, but it only worked because Milo was wearing gold cloth, or he wouldn't be able to finish scarlet needle in the first place.

Because of Scorpio's weak attacks, I think Kardia is the second weakest saint in LC, only stronger than the young leo. Kardia burned his heart out but still could not kill Radhamanthys with his most powerful attacks, it is also the only time a suicidal attack failed in the Saint Seiya universe. As for Milo, he is an average power gold saint only because I consider the gold saints from SS to be weaker than the previous generation, and because there are always Aldebaran Death Mask and Aphrodite who will be the weakest gold saints.

It's not that it requires 15 blows to be effective. Depending of the enemy, his strength or more, will power, it can be less.

As I said, (and Milo said himself when he was punishing the renegades) that Scarlet Needle is a blow of compassion. And when he fought Hyoga, he stroke nearly one shot by one, letting him the choice to go. He did that because of his friendship with Camus (who chose to keep Hyoga alive rather than killing him).

This attack, like Shaka's Tenbu Horin is weak against strong will opponents. The Renegates, Hyoga and Rhadamanthes faith were stronger than the pain. But let me remember you that Saga blocked Aiolia's Lighting Plasma or Rhadamanthes weakened by Orpheus Stringer Fine took Kanon's Galaxian Explosion with not that much damages, so did not better than Kardia/Milo ;)

The pisces from manga wasn't so annoying but his fight against Shun disppointed me.

He was just unlucky and fought the strongest of the Bronze Saints. The first and only one who has already dealt with the 7th Sense before the Sanctuary battle.
When he realised Shun's true power, he was already trapped... but yet managed to get a double K.O. Not that bad, I think.

As for Death Mask. Who many times Athena has brought Shiryu back from Yomotsu ? How many was he distracted or interrupted when he was about to finish the job ?
Yet he missed other blows like Mani or Hakurei have (Praesepe something). Maybe Okada will give him that blow in EpG.

The only time he could have appeared weak, is when Mu countered him and Aphrodite with his Starlight Extinction.

I don't remember exactly but Manigoldo doesn't care about Athena too. And it seems Deuteroxx is that kind of character .
He was more caring about his master than Athena herself actually. That's what made his character so nice. A good balance between Kardia and Deuteroxx.

And Aphrodite managed to stick his Bloody Rose in Shun's heart despite of the Nebula Storm.

I really feel that those two are "underestimated" because of what happen against Mu or Rhadamanthes (since Rhad' was protecting by the field decreasing their power, they couldn't do more... and Aiolia and co did not better).

So it seems that the new chapter is going once again on a WTF-is-she-thinking :

So after the Athena Exclamation, time for the Balance weapons' legend to get nonsense.

Well we never see Antares kill someone in Saint Seiya but there are always some circumstances... Radamanthys resisted to Milo's attack because there was a kekkai! Starlight Extinction and Lighting Plasma didn't do anything to Radamanthys too! Milo can use Restriction+Scarlet Needle, good combo :D.

Shun the strongest bronze? Not my opinion! It's not because Shun was the first Bronze saint to discover the seventh sense that we can say he is the strongest saint at this moment! Seiya/Shiryu/Hyoga/Ikki, all of them show their strength against a strong ennemy. I would say, Seiya is the strongest one...

About Deathmask, yeah he was beated easily by Mu! And the most funny thing is his cloth which let him...

So finally, Dokho will use his weapons. That looks cool, but I would prefer another moment... But he only use 2 swords so perhaps we will see another fight with all of his weapons (against Kagaho :D). I alway wanted to see Libra fights with his weapons...

I knew by heart that sooner or later the Saints or Doko was going to use the weapons of his Armor, but I was envisioning Athena giving the order to use them against Some strong enemy or some weird shit like that…

I was not bothered by the Athena exclamation, If I’m not mistaken the taboo came because it was a cowards attack because it was used in a 3 against 1…but in this case it was used on a wall…

Going back to using Weapons, I wonder if Ahtenas permission is when Doko wants to give his weapon to another saint, because Sagittarius Arrow is a weapon just the same as any other from the Libra cloth, yet the Sagittarius use his arrows almost every time, I wouldn’t be surprise if we are shown using it to even open a bottle of beer!!

And Dôko the so called legendary saint not able to take 2 specters that his pupil will own 2 centuries later.

There are some things to consider, I think both Doko and Shion only got better after this Holy war, we have to think that they have little fighting experience, whereas at least 200 Years will pass until they get that uber status.

The Bronze fought against, Ikki and his Black Saints, Bronze Saints, Silver Saints, gold Saints, and Poseidom Marinas. Heck, now that I think about it, the 5 principal characters helped Hades more than all the specter combined!!!!!!!!

Either way, this time around, it seems that the good guys are weaker than their correspondent version 200 years from now (except for Albafica and Manigoldo).

It's time to shine... Well against these kind of specters, I don't know if we can call it "to shine" :D. I would like to see Dokho using his weapons against a great specter! But well, we will see what Shiori will do about that! Perhaps these specters are really good...

About weapons permission, I think a saint can use Libra weapon in a battle with Athena approval. But Dokho doesn't need this approval, he holds this cloth. I'm not sure about that!

Morning guys!

So today it's D-DAY when everyone will meet and know more details of our beloved Teshirogi Shiori.

Well, she asks us to take care and don't catch the influenza, it took two lives already here.

As her entry says, she is very nervous about the sign event. She is very glad to read all the supportive messages she had receive during all these days, since people saying they will definitely attend this event, receiving calls wishing her the best.

The first public hint from her blog entry... here goes!

You may not be able to look at her directly in Yurindo today but I guess this description can hold you a few days or weeks until she decides to show herself again.

We are ready here, we already practiced this event during this week, so I hope everything goes fine. We have been reading there will be seiya fans at the event grouns waiting to see her. I'm sure they will have luck today. Anyway, we are going most of us, I'll be the one driving this crazy wagon with hawk, akbsaint, mayuyu, sasshi and two 超VIP.

I haven't confirm, well it's not my duty to do it but like the time at the movie theater and the live performance, I learned we are gonna take video. Maybe we will include this, so prepare your premium accounts

Teshirogi Shiori Sign Event Report 1

We are here, it is a nice event.

I know, everyone is waiting for this, so I grabbed these so you can picture how's the thing here...

As you can see there, the top three pics are illustrations that were behind Teshirogi in the panel. The bottom left photo is where our beloved sensei was sit, at the center all the information about the event and fans were able to write a message to her too, on the right hand you can see the big sign that was in the store.

We already told you isn't? No photos of her were allowed.

I hope these photos can give you an idea of what happen there.

Everyone was surprise to meet her and she received them with a smile, staff from Akita and store clerks were the one guiding you to step in front of her and sign you the comic book.

As you may know by now, she has short hair, maybe like LC Athena, I guess you can get an idea.

I read chap 146 and well...

Gordon seems to be more powerful than in the classic Hades saga. I mean, he had never shown that much destructive power. But Dôko just seems to answer to his provocation and want to show him how he is overestimated his axe (makes me remember how Myu teased Mu to fight with his psychokinesis... leading the fight to a "one way ownage").

Next chapter, Gordon is dead... and I see Dôko making Queen and Basilic taste some Dragon's fangs.

We have yet to see Basilik in the Sanctuary. I see Gordon dying in the next chapter with the chapter ending in the appearance of Basilik.

Btw, this chapter was good! Although, I would've loved an Elcid vs Gordon fight.

No way. It's too much far from what "dear Kurumada sama has done" for Teshigori. She just can not let Dôko fight MKII Rhadamantys instead of Gemini Deuteroxx.
Seems that Kagaoh too got a MKII Surplice, so he may have been boosted by Hades' blood too.

But if Dôko is to bleed on Athena's statue in order to bring the divine cloth back, so there will not be Athena's blood in his veins... so no more super powers.

Yeah but there is something pretty strange in that story :
Dôko is not a "cloth specialist" like his friend Shion is. I don't think that you just have to put the blood on the statue and "taaadaaaaaaammmm !!", don't you ?
In the original manga Shion managed to do it because he was the Pope and, as a Muyan, a cloth engineering master.
And that was all what the Sanctuary chapter of the Hades saga was about. If anybody could have done it, he would just have to tell Mu or Dôko what to do. But no, Shion himself was absolutely to go to Athena and put her blood on the statue.

The Mission was to allow Athena to get her cloth. So Shion coming in front of Mu's temple and telling his disciple "Hey, Athena must have her cloth, so get her blood and bring that cloth to life" would have been enough. Even if he was to disapear the following second, the result would have been the same.

And yet if Dôko himself can do it... why has he never told Athena about it instead of sending her fighting Poseidon without her cloth. Since the beginning that story doesn't make sense, if you consider what is supposed to happen in during the XXth century holy war

So it is Shion's role, the future pope. In Kurumada's manga, it seems that Shion is the only one to know about Athena's cloth. If Dohko didn't say anything, it must be because he can't do anything about that.

But Shion must come back to sanctuary? Teleportation? Or Atla perhaps?

Shiori must explain why Sage/Hakurei didn't say anything about Athena's cloth too.

I could argue that Dohko knows it needs large amount of blood to revive the cloth!!! Dohko probably will lose large amount of blood and face near death to revive that cloth, so that's why he doesn't say a word about that cloth when Athena fights Poseidon..Dohko knows it needs large amount of blood...Athena will probably die in process, so getting the cloth defeats its very own purpose..therefore getting the cloth is the very very last choice...so Dohko thinks the challenge from Poseidon and even Hades is not big enough to get the cloth XD...that's all I can think of so far..it's hard to make convincing connection btw two mangas that are 20 years apart anyway :heh:

Next Dimension is better than Lost Canvas in this last chapters in my opinion, it's really new (well, it's Kurumada ha...). I read that volume 1 of Next Dimension was sold more than any volume of Lost Canvas :uhoh:.

I took a look at the chapter. Well to counterbalance the high range "boobs service" Shiori put some strong male "yaoi feelings" for the fangirls...Basilisk's devotion toward Rhadamatys is quite the same as Violate's toward Aiakos. He he he that Teshi, what a nasty girl :naughty:
Anyway once again it's pretty enjoyable to see a specter having his own beliefs and motivations.

Well Annihilation Flap looks awesome! It's Shiori ha, good design as always but a story a bit disappointing.
The story about Sylphide and Rhadamanthys was OK.

- So it seems that Dôko broke Sylphe's backbone. Pretty brutal and unusual in a Saint Seiya fight (except in EpG) but I liked that.
Reference to Alba seemed to deal with his poisonous blood, something that he shared with Sylphide.

As for Kagaoh, he is coming by order of Hades to..; let Dôko bringing the Athena's cloth back. :heh::eyespin:

I read a pretty interesting theory about all that mess :
So Hades wanted to bring the Athena's cloth back and shared his wish with Kagaoh... who saved Dôko deeply wounded by the God.

But... what if he has been wishing for that cloth since the beginning and that Kagaoh, who brought Dôko to Kanon Island, shared the secret of Athena's blood with Deuteros.
Then Deuteros went back to the Sanctuary to get that holly blood and gave it to Dôko.

So what can be Hades' purpose, then ?
Maybe Halone's soul is not completely vanished and, some way is trying to lure Hades to his lost. Then Kagaoh would appear to be caring more about Halone himself than about Hades.

There is room to make a very good twist with all that. Up to Teshi to not disappoint.

after reading ch 150, i only have two things to say:

1. The chapter is so gay!! :heh: all the talk about body warmth,2 men hugging together, and the enemy dies "happily" after feeling the warmth from another male..I can hear fan girl screaming :D
2. Kagaho got to be an undercover after he got a lecture by Taurus...so probably Hades wants the cloth for whatever reason (he wants to cosplay athena :heh:), he sends Kagaho to talk to Deuterox, who Hades thinks Deuterox is the undercover from Hades' side, but Deuterox actually is loyal to Athena (like Shion in original manga) and Kagaho has become a good guy since Taurus's lecture...poor Dohko has become an experiment mouse XD :heh:

got to say i am entirely confused by these recent chapters:

1. Where does Deutero get the blood from athena?? Why he won't take the mission instead? He has all the time to do it
2. if that little bottle of blood isn't enough, Deuterox intentionally inserts the athena's blood into Dohko, he must know that Hades will send guys to stop Dohko, and Deuterox must know that Dohko will get badly wounded and has to let athena's blood run through Dohko's vein, so Dohko can use his own blood to complete the mission
3. But now we get the twist that Hades wants Athena's cloth to cosplay Athena (ok, not the cosplaying part), so we can assume that Hades willingly let Dohko to live on and let Kagaho take Dohko to Deuterox's island

How can Hades know so much stuff in advance?? How does he know Deuterox has that bottle of blood?? lol my head hurts

This is what I think the story is going so far...this is one bad thing about weekly manga..I am not sure I remember the "plot" (somehow I think the author get messed up as well :heh:)

Ok, so this chapter confirms that :
You just need to put Athena's blood on the statue to get the armor. Pretty unsafe because what if, instead of hair, Charon had asked for blood ? Having got Athena's blood, Hades could have use it to get the cloth and keep him away from Athena. And actually I'm wondering why he hadn't done so.
Making less and less sense. One other point that is bothering me :
Deuteroxx's Another Dimension is able to make him travel to the next Canvas... so what was that stupid boat, and all those died Saints for if you have people who can use Dimensions and Instant travel (Shion WTF ??!!! What are you here for ???!!!)

About the question, why Hades wants Athena's cloth, he speaks about the color, I think he need this cloth to finish his Athena's portrait.

I don't understand why Dohko say that Kagaho is a "special" specter... Because he pwn Dohko who is half dead? :uhoh:

The last page is awesome, Deuterox is a roxxor: "tell to Hades that Deuteros (he use "he" and not "I" :heh:) and Dohko will go to lost canvas and pwn your ass". Incredible :heh:.

Not surprised since Teshi couldn't let such important matter in Saint Seiya storyline get trough her story.
So what can we expect to see later ? I'll put a coin on Deuteros dying but manages to make his brother understand how much he was wrong. So in a attempt for redemption, Aspros regain the Gemini Cloth and goes kick some Radhamatys' ass.

I really want to know the story about these two brothers. It can be really cool! A guy who did a rebellion. A time out about fight? Nice! Too much fight is a bit boring.

Your theory can be cool, good way to die for Deuteros. But I would be a bit disappointed if Deuteros die against Apros. He's so cool! But perhaps Apros too :heh:.
So Deuteros is the good guy and Apros the bad guy :heh:, I always think that Deuteros was a "bad" guy... Seems not.

Well, We have the twins... that both seem as twisted as each other. But I still remember the "dark face" of the Gemini Mask shown when Deuterox put his cloth. Making guest that the "dual personality" matter is still out there and the one we know may be the "evil one".
Makes me wonder if Deuteros was not, before his brother's rebellion and his retreat to Kanon Island a "good" person that became cynical and has been playing the bad guy since he had to kill his own brother. Remember that he made somehow fun of Sisyphus when he died, offering his life to Athena.

In a way like Episode G Aiolia was before he met Lithos because of what happened to his brother or Ikki after the "Esmeralda incident"

Anyway... as if one Deuteroxx was not enough... now we have TWO !!

There are 8 temples and Aspros is in the 4th (Mars). So I think he will not die in this battle against Deuteros. I think these 2 will meet again in the Lost Canvas. Now we will see their past... It would be interesting.

Well... now it's time for Dôko and Shion to show haw their reputation was built. Since Sailor March will be dealt by Deuteroxx, 7 of them and Kagaoh for 3 GS and Tenma.
This isn't that much actually... And what if Shion is the one who will fight MKII Rhadamantys and not awesome-man ? Since Dôko has his date with Kagaoh planned, that will leave the other apex specter to the other Saint that is to become a legend (I don't think that Shiori will find a other specter or enemy as powerful as those... even if the evil twin was a nice move).

As for Aspirinos, since he knows something that only a Pope can know, it makes me wonder if, like Saga, he wasn't a candidate for Hakurei's succession. But the one he was in competition with was not Syphus but Deuteroxx himself. A noble saint that turned cynical after he had to kill his own brother.
In a way Kanon wanted to took the Sanctuary lead and Saga, who was candidate to Shion's succession got in the way... which was the pinch to his madness.

About chapter 152 and Deuteros:

I think Deuteros can't use his Another Dimension to everyone, it's the only theory I can give to explain why Athena's army need this boat.
Shiori need to explain it clearly because it looks like the boat arc was useless (well and it was very boring too).

And about the technique that Deuteros used to eraze memories of Dohko about Athena's cloth, I think it's a bit too much...

About temples, yeah there are only 8, so can we say that Lost Canvas will end "soon"? Well Shiori can take her time to develop some characters like Suikyo/Unity or someone else. But I think make temples was a bit unoriginal, look like Sanctuary arc from Saint Seiya...

If we can have a Shion vs Rhadamanthys, it can be interesting. Shion really need an awesome fight so we can understand why he became a legend (or not :heh:...). Well I read Dohko's fight in last chapters but I don't really like him anyway :heh:. These characters need a "cool" attitude I think... and stop comments like "you are bad!" I am good yahhhhhh:uhoh:.
I would prefer a Kagaho vs Shion, it would be a surprise from Shiori, but I think she can't do that...

And well, if she could do some specters which are not so bad, it would be interesting. Because Minos, Rhadamanthys and Eaque are all badass...

About Aspros and Deuteros, well if they know so much about Athena's cloth, they must have a connection with the Pope, that's sure!

Yeah a bit unoriginal in my opinion. So if they do a manga about the mythology period, characters will be the same? It would be a bit boring... I hope Kurumada will not do the same things about Next Dimension. Well at least, some characters looks different in Next Dimension (design). But well with Deuteros VS Aspros, it's unoriginal, but so cool :D. And in Lost Canvas, everything is not unoriginal ;).

Generally, I don't like stories which repeat because it's the "destiny" or something like that..., like Pegasus which is the only human who hurted Hades.

Nice fanarts, especially the "Sacred Saga - like" picturing Yuzu.

As for Deuteroxx and the so many "similarities" between the original manga and this one, more and more people are seeing Lost Canvas as a "what if" version of the "Kurumanga".
In a way, Shiori may look like rewriting the original story with the developments she would have wished for, like most fanfics (I happened to read very good ones, so I not complaining about them).

About Saga and Shion well... he was about to get the place. But Shion felt a little darkness in Saga's heart . So backing up to Aiolos teased and unleashed that dark side. So not really related to the "Gemini saints of the past". Actually I don't think that Shion himself knew about Aspirinos. Dôko doesn't seem to either.

I wonder what were Asporos's motives to take the throne.

Saga justified himself by willing to create a world in which Gods would not be needed. A world depending only on mankind's own will and power. Taking the Sanctuary to Athena and leading it against its enemy without the godess was what he planned to achieve.

That's something Okada understood and is picturing in EpG, showing a very smart Saga luring out Titans and Pontos in order to backstab them and showing that he can deal with gods threating the Earth and mankind without Athena.
Maybe it's why Dôko and Mu chose to not act against him, because they knew that, despite his "drastic" methods, he can actually hold the Sanctuary lead as long as Athena is not able to.

So what can we expect from Aspirinos, then ? Something as smart but yet a little origina, I hope.

About "what if" and Lost Canvas, that's my opinion too. Well everything doesn't follow this theory, but there are some characters who follow it like Manigoldo or Sisyphe for example. In these last chapters, Shiori isn't really original so we can say that Lost Canvas is more a "fanart of Saint Seiya" than a sequel :heh:: good design but unoriginal story.

But well, if we compare everything, Lost Canvas and Kurumada's manga are a bit different. And some people say it's not a "what if", there are various opinions about that.

Chapter 152:

Yeah if Shion didn't know about Aspros, it would be difficult :heh:, but if he knew, well it's possible!

About Aspros' motives to take the trone, perhaps he wants to dominate the wolrd? :heh: Cool motivation for a bad guy... Well I don't think he's like Saga because he ask Hades, a God, for help...

You know, Shiori can't be original now, so I think Aspros want this trone because he wants to rule the world! :heh: (Death note!!!)
I really hope it will be an interesting background, by the way...

First elements brought by Archange hint a story ala "Lyn in Hokuto no Ken" about the brothers.... for the guys in the back who don't know what the hell it is meaning :

Lyn ended to discover that she had a sister from whom she was separated when they were babies. In fact they were the Emperor's daughter and since there should be only one heir, one of them had to be killed. But the guy who was supposed to kill baby Lyn decided instead to gave her to a poor family so she can live.
The sister became Emperess (even if she got betrayed and thrown out of the throne, in the castle undergrounds), and Lyn... that little girl suffering from the world's madness.

So yeah, that's somehow the Zeta twins' story... if we consider that Syd managed to live a very wealthy life. And Bud, jealous... was waiting for an opportunity to take the place that he though was supposed to be his.
And actually, seeing Asporos obsession about Sage that, according to him, became Pope instead of his older brother and, most of all, the way he is calling Deuteros "number two", hint to this way.

I would be very, very, very mad if Teshi is actually trying to bring back what it's IMO the most beautiful and heartbreaking moment in the whole Saint Seiya in her story. They don't deserve it.

Well, it sounds very interesting but unoriginal, as always ;):

So Deuteros is the Iron Mask? :D (movie with Di Caprio? I love this movie :D)

Well so at begining, these two guys were good, it was a bit predictable. But a sad story isn't that bad.

I don't really understand the chapter at the begining, so Deuteros and Aspros came to Mars temple at Lost Canvas? Deuteros saw the Iron Mask... And we see his memories.

Deuteros must keep this mask everytime. His brother, Aspros seems to take care of him. He looks like a good guy (white hair). I'm not sure if they know that they are brothers. Deuteros saw his brother wear the Gemini cloth. Is he jealous? But... when Aspros die, he was dead in "good mode", so why Deuteros kill him? Jealous? And when Aspros died, he smiled...

At final, Aspros have the Gemini surplice, not a surprise, and he does a Galaxian Explosion.

Yeah it looks like the story about Bud and Syd from Asgard :T_T:.

To dig deeper in the tragedy... What if Deuteros back then was actually jealous of his brother and, somehow grew a little nasty wish to take Aspros's place. Aspros finding out his brother's true feelings and sunk into hatred and madness, like Ikki in the Kurumanga.

So Deuteros, feeling guilty about that, left the Sanctuary and became cynical and a little crazy.

So both brothers were kinds, but turned to be a bit mad because of some stupid rule.

Anyway this rule about Gemini is a bit "strange" no? Who create this rule? Perhaps Sage is the one who understand the most Deuteros/Aspros because he's the brother of Hakurei the one who had to be the Cancer saint and the Pope. Perhaps, at this moment, Aspros think that Sage was the bad guy but we will see that he only want to protect them :heh:. So after he know the truth, Aspros will cry and want redemption...

Well it would be interesting to see that Sanctuary is not so beautiful too, that Sage/Hakurei/Sasha are not "kind"...
At least, these soldiers from sanctuary seems not really cool :heh:.

Well... you have jealous and jealous. I may not have chosen the right world but you can't tell me that someone who's doomed to live a shameful life and beeing persecuted can not grow, at least a little feeling against the one whose only achievement was to be born first.

Back to the Zeta brothers, Bud showed hateful feelings toward Syd but somehow managed to keep a little positive one that Ikki managed to dig out with his Genrômaoken. So Deuteros may have love and admire his brother sincerely but, that doesn't mean that he would have never wished, at least once, that things would have turned in an other way. 1 - It's a bit more complex. In an other hand you have Kurumada's official sequel that also deals with the former war between Hades and Athena. And what Kurumada depicts is very far from what Teshi tells in T.L.C. So which version is to be considered as the real prequel. Nobody can tell until then.
There are theories pointing out that both may take place in different time lines so... I don't really know. Until both are completed, it's up to anybody to pick up and consider "official" the one he wants to be so.
As for Hades body... I don't really think that we will see it... since it's supposed to be kept in Elysion since the very ancien times because of Antic Pegasus whe managed to make it bleed. It seems that the TLC battle will be kept in the Lost Canvas and so will no go further than Alone's body and Athena sealing Hades's soul.

2 - It was an instant kill... and that's why Olympians are mad to Athena in the sequel(s) (I put an "s" because I'm also talking about the Tenkai hen movie that was supposed to be a sequel in the first place). So yeah, he is dead.

3 - No idea. I mean, I don't know if there is an official printed release in China (like we have in France and other countries).
