Funny you mentioned that, I found this (it's only the VII part, but it's the meatiest part of the presentation, so to speak):
https://youtu.be/06IUi5YVj_I
Quality isn't great though, a better quality recording will probably come once the Nicovideo Live timeshift feature kicks in after today's stream.

I whole heartily agree. Except they are probably going to be running around planetune and not with neptune in Zero dimension...well unless something happens to send them to zero dimension. Imagine the shock of seeing two neptunes to them.
by the way what is the reason in the picture there are 3 verts. One is even flat chested.

by the way what is the reason in the picture there are 3 verts. One is even flat chested.
my guess its either a promotional art of vert having 2 sisters, a dream in game vert is having about having 2 sisters, or one of the other dimension verts has 2 sisters
probaly just promotional art. After all three verts makes no sense since there is no hand held for xbox. unless each represents xbox, xbox 360 , xbox one.
Still the small breastless vert might be a good idea, shy timid but determined.
There's also an image with Blanc having huge tits so I'm assuming there's a dream sequence of some kind in the game.

Probably a dream sequence about their deepest desires. Would make sense for both of them. If it's true, Noire's would be......funny. :heh:

A certain blogger by the name of どりマギ (https://twitter.com/dolly_silent) recently got the chance to play the Victory II demo (which looks like it'll be released post-launch of the full game) at a Wonder Goo retail store (a video posted earlier in this thread showing off the Next Forms was uploaded by the same guy). A few recordings of this demo were uploaded to their YouTube channel, which you can find below. People playing the demo were limited to 15 minutes per session.
Aside from spoilers, be wary of your speaker volume (lots of background noise) and possible screen flickering when watching the videos.
At the moment, Internet Explorer 11 and the latest versions of Chrome and Safari support 60fps YouTube videos.

You can see and read more about the demo (such as UI screenshots and a preview of the Dream Edition contents and packaging) here (http://pi-dolly.net/archives/2167).
Looks like the game will require at least 10GB free on the PS4's hard drive.
nao's latest single, Soutaisei VISION [相対性VISION] - the opening theme for Victory II, was released not too long ago. The limited edition (which funnily has a catalog number of FVCG-1337), aside from containing a DLC code for the 5pb. Megaphone weapon for Uzume (not redeemable until at least May 7 at the very earliest), also contains a code for use on the e-onkyo (http://www.e-onkyo.com/music) service to download a high-resolution (96kHz/24bit) version of the song.

Dengekiko news time!
With Victory II hitting store shelves in Japan in just under two weeks, this issue of Dengeki PlayStation pretty much summarises all the new and improved features of the game. The next issue being released in a fortnight (coinciding with the game's launch), will have a DLC code that bestows Uzume with the Politan Megaphone.

Really hope Nepgear gets treated better in Victory II this time around. Last time the constant Nepgear abuse really irritated me, got really mean spirited after awhile. Probably one of the main reasons I haven't played Victory a second time. :heh:
agreed, Nepgear has just as much right to be awsome as Neptune.
Also Corie's back, probaly how older black clothethed Neptune gose around since she has the power to go from one diminsion to another.

Briefly!
There's just a mere 7 days before the release of Victory II in Japan- as such, there's now a countdown website (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/countdown/)... mainly featuring Arfoire and Umio (at the moment).

...and finally, also from yesterday, PlayStation Japan's プレコミュCafe stream showed a little bit more of Victory II, namely a small number of customisation items and Neplunker gameplay.

Other news from today/earlier in the week:
Upcoming Victory II DLC plans announced
A new Planeptune-themed PS4 theme is now available from the Japanese PSN Store. (280 yen) (https://store.playstation.com/#!/ja-jp/%e3%82%b2%e3%83%bc%e3%83%a0/%e3%83%86%e3%83%bc%e3%83%9e/%e3%80%8e%e6%96%b0%e6%ac%a1%e5%85%83%e3%82%b2%e3%8 2%a4%e3%83%a0-%e3%83%8d%e3%83%97%e3%83%86%e3%83%a5%e3%83%bc%e3%8 3%8cvii%e3%80%8f%e3%83%97%e3%83%a9%e3%83%8d%e3%83% 86%e3%83%a5%e3%83%bc%e3%83%8c%e3%83%86%e3%83%bc%e3 %83%9e/cid=JP0031-CUSA01054_00-THEMEP0000000003?EMCID=jGM0000000-00001)
Also this week: Uzume's Politan Horn weapon (code from Dengeki PlayStation Vol. 589) and Histy's first item set (Free).
Releasing 30 Apr: Histy's second item set and a Lastation-themed PS4 theme.
Releasing 07 May: Uzume's 5pb. Megaphone weapon (code from OP theme "Soutaisei VISION" limited edition), Level Cap 1 (Max level +300) and the Neptunemaster event (Level 130 recommended).
From Siliconera (http://www.siliconera.com/2015/04/23/eyes-hyperdimension-neptunia-victory-iis-opening-movie/) about the Neptunemaster event: "The Neptumaster is a free download where Neptune and the CPUs have to battle a dubious idol group which has a Noire, S-Sha, and… Arfoire? or at least characters that look like them together."
Victory II website update
New Twitter icons and wallpapers available for download. (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/special/?page=download)
Victory II-themed PS4s - shipment delays
It seems that due to overwhelming demand, purchasers of the PS4s with Victory II-themed HDD covers will be receiving their PS4s first, with the aforementioned HDD covers shipping separately sometime in May. (http://www.compileheart.com/news/?num=20150421)
Finally, here's a summary of what's to come with the Sega Hard Girls crossover game and Blanc's game. (http://gematsu.com/2015/04/hyperdimension-war-neptunia-vs-sega-hard-girls-introduces-original-protagonist)
Perhaps most interesting about the Sega Hard Girls game is that aside from a new character, Hatsumi Sega, will be playing the starring role, it seems that IF will also share in the spotlight.
Someone's been nice enough to upload the soundtrack for Victory II. Looks like each dimension has it's own world map and regular battle theme.

I've got a request for anyone here who still has the original Hyperdimension Neptunia, a PS3, and recording equipment. Do any of you mind going back and screencapping each of the CPU's handguns as best as you can?
Also, I DO have one comment to make about one particular track on the V2 OST, specifically, 宿命の邂逅 (Used during the Dark CPU fights)
Take "Fighters Honor (Flying Remix)" from Ace Combat Cross Rumble 3D/Assault Horizon Legacy, increase the franticness of the beats, and give it a dark reprisal.
Better yet, I want to hear someone mash those two mentioned tracks together in such a way that it'll sound really awesome.
I guess we're still year(s) from the English version?

IFI's current track record in getting the Neptunia games localised seems to hover around the 9-10 month mark, so it wouldn't be surprising if the game hits the West early next year (hopefully).
I must say, I do find the expanded roster of composers for Victory II adds a nice bit of variety and flavour to the soundtrack overall. I'm particularly enjoying the battle themes, mainly the ones I've listed in my previous post at the moment.
I've had the game for a little over two weeks now, trying to get through the game as quick as possible. I've had to replay a certain section of the game a few times over so I can meet the requirements for the true ending, which is slowing me down...
I've made a bit of a write-up on my thoughts and stuff I've noticed about the game, conveniently hidden under spoiler tags:
http://i.imgur.com/nknRu0Jl.jpg (http://imgur.com/nknRu0J)
http://i.imgur.com/6VkbJrPl.jpg (http://imgur.com/6VkbJrP)
General:
Load times are pretty much non-existent. A definite plus.
In general, the game looks and plays better and smoother (also faster) compared to the older games.
Taking screenshots using the PS4's Share button adds a "(C) 2015 Idea Factory / Compile Heart" watermark on them.
"Teach me, Histy!" now has it's own theme music! (https://youtu.be/MADeE2KdICo) (Too bad we don't get to see coke-bottle glasses Histy this time around...)
The meat of the game is pretty much starts when you hit the second part of the game (Neptune G) where the game splits into four routes before merging again before you hit part 3 (Neptune H). Basically, the four CPUs play the lead role in dealing with one of the Gold Third members each in their respective routes.
Neptune forms a party with IF and Compa against (?) B-Sha.
Noire and Uni deal with K-Sha.
Blanc, alongside Rom and Ram, combat C-Sha.
Finally, Neptune sends Nepgear off to team up with Vert to fight S-Sha.
On that note, I found that in previous games, you tend to stick with the same characters once you found the ideal combination (particularly once you get a sizable number of party members). In Victory II, the game splits your party on occasion, like above, which means that characters you might not use get their chance to shine.
It's a good idea to try and build the Power Bracelet as early as possible, which will let you break certain objects in dungeons that may give you items, or are blocking the path to item boxes (you can also create an upgraded version later on in the game). One of the items you need to build the Power Bracelet is obtained after defeating Dark Purple for the first time. Here's a weapon you can get for Neptune that's hidden away in one of the dungeons behind some wooden crates:
http://i.imgur.com/9FHhclgl.jpg (http://imgur.com/9FHhclg)
Visual Novel sections:
By default, there are slightly different controls when navigating the story side of things: Triangle is now Auto, and accessing the log is via Up/Down on the D-Pad or left analog stick. You can revert to the classic controls (Triangle = log) by selecting Type-B in the options.
Nothing groundbreaking, but you may notice backgrounds are now animated (for example, flickering lights or clouds in the sky moving).
Dungeons/Battle:
Most dungeons feel far larger in size compared to previous games.
Your HP and SP don't heal when you leave the dungeon, you need to head back to home base to fully heal up.
Status ailments can also stick around after battle, though it does recover after a few turns of battle.
For most, if not all, healing/recovery items, you're limited to carrying 30 of each.
Perhaps to compensate, the standard Heal (recover 30% HP) move that Nepgear and Uzume have only use up 30 SP (25 for Compa). It does look like special moves do cost less SP than before.
Healing moves that consume SP can also be used outside of battle as well.
On that note, Compa gets a major buff in the form of SP recovery after each battle.
Weapon choices affect what kind of combos you can build- and the right combinations of moves mean you can dish out extra damage against enemies.
I definitely find it to be a nice change to have the EXE Drive bar build up faster than in previous games- meaning you can blow enemies away with your flashier moves without having to grind as much to build the bar back up.
http://i.imgur.com/F2lf8qdl.jpg (http://imgur.com/F2lf8qd)
Uzume Tennouboshi:
It's pretty obvious at this point that Uzume is a walking reference to the Sega Dreamcast console, and quite a bit of her design appears to reference top games of the Dreamcast era, like Jet Set Radio and Shenmue.
Most fitting with the planetary codenames used by Sega during their console manufacturing days, the three characters that make up Tennouboshi: 天王星 (lit. sky king star) refers to the planet Uranus (and along with Neptune, make up the two furthest planets of the Solar System).
Uzume generally acts tomboyish and cool, perhaps in another reference to her planetary namesake (whereby one of the symbols for the planet Uranus is combination of the symbols for the Sun and Mars, where Mars has generally been associated with "masculinity and youth"). Although on occasion...
http://i.imgur.com/72G3vyPl.jpg (http://imgur.com/72G3vyP)
Like Neptune's hatred of eggplants, Uzume absolutely abhors shiitake mushrooms. It also looks like Uzume shares a bit of a sweetooth with Neptune in the form of her like of crepes.
http://i.imgur.com/ZVhk41El.jpg (http://imgur.com/ZVhk41E)
Uzume gains spiral eyes if she's low on HP or affected by a status ailment.
http://i.imgur.com/9YT4Fyqm.jpg (http://imgur.com/9YT4Fyq) http://i.imgur.com/iVO4iRBm.jpg (http://imgur.com/iVO4iRB)
Uzume appears to have quite a few faithful followers (mainly Dogoos and the creatures that look strangely like Mr. Badd's "daughters", one of which is hilariously nicknamed "Ebi fry"). They play a critical role in a certain part of the Zero Dimension story.
http://i.imgur.com/QwTgKI4m.jpg (http://imgur.com/QwTgKI4)
http://i.imgur.com/dtiwrPIl.jpg (http://imgur.com/dtiwrPI)
Adult Neptune:
Like her younger-looking self, this Neptune is introduced by way of dropping out of the sky and crash-landing into the middle of a "conversation" between Arfoire, Purple Sister and Orange Heart.
It's pretty much confirmed that this Neptune is the same one from the True End of Victory, somehow managing to tame Croire somewhat into being her means of interdimensional travel to add to her collection of exotic flora and fauna (?). Adult Neptune also makes passing reference to the Ultradimension and Plutia, which Nepgear appears to pick up on.
Funnily enough, Adult Neptune has never eaten eggplants before entering the Zero Dimension. Unsurprisingly, upon trying eggplants for the first time, she develops a similar hatred as her Hyperdimension version.

One of Neptune's typical jumping phrases is "I'm a kangaroo!". Nepgear gains "I'm a rabbit!" (or rather, "Like a rabbit!"). Adult Neptune on occasion will say something that sounds strikingly similar to "Like a wallaby!".
Also on occasion, will shout "MUDAMUDAMUDA!" whilst attacking.
There's two known major bugs at the moment, and a patch is in the works to fix the issues:
If you leave the game running when you put the PS4 into rest mode, the game will freeze upon resumption, forcing you to quit and restart the game.
If you run into this enemy (appears in the Cherry Blossoms dungeon during Neptune's route) and he attacks, the game will crash. Fortunately, it won't crash if you kill him fast enough.

The Level Cap 1 and the Neptunemaster event DLC has been delayed to a future date (presumably due to the major bugs listed above).
You can expect to see the following DLC for the game later in the week, however:
Three scouts (obtainable via code from Dengeki PlayStation Vol. 590) (http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/048/1048456/),
Leanbox-themed PS4 theme, and,
Nightwear costumes for the CPUs and CPU candidates.
There's only been three DLC weapons so far, all of them limited to product codes:

In other news, pre-orders are open for the Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed PS Vita Limited Edition. Stock is most likely running low as of writing, however.
Alter, the company making the 1/7 scale figure of Black Heart, has posted some pics of the completed version on their blog (http://blog.livedoor.jp/alter_info/archives/1908085.html):

I finished watching SplitPlaythru's Let's Play of V2 last night and now I have a TON of questions.
1. Why were adult Neptune and Croire in cahoots with Arfoire, at least until the later portions of the Heart Dimension arc?
2. Who gave Nep and Croire the Dreamcast and whose idea was it to plant the console somewhere in Hyperdimension Planeptune?
3. Just what the hell happened in Zero Dimension that led to the state it's in at the start of the game (from what I got, it seems like there was a MAJOR revolt by Planeptune citizens against Uzume/Orange Heart)
4. Is it just me or has Iris Heart's influence rubbed off on Neptune/Purple Heart? At the end of Neptune's route in G Dimension, she, as Purple Heart seduces Steamax.
5. Why was Uzume's alter-ego manipulating the Gold Third (which I will refer to from this point on as G3)?
6. S-Sha's buried split personality of E-Sha (presumably representing Enix before its merger with Square). Any more details on her?
I'll post more when I can think of more.

Dengekiko news time!
The big reveal this issue is that Million Arthur-chan (Square Enix) will join Victory II! This comes off the back of Victory II's other Square Enix collab in the form of the Neplunker (Spelunker) dungeon.
Spoilers ahead in this issue, as it shows off the bosses for each of the four routes of Neptune G:

Oh well, more time to prepare funding for it I guess. Was wondering why they didn't have preorders for it yet...
Can someone remind me why Nepgear can't go Mk.II anymore?
Nepgear seems stronger than everyone else.
In Victory it was most likely because she was in another dimension and the rules of Cpu's didn't allow her to. In the new game it is an alternate universe so the events of Mk II and victory never occurred.

I don't think there's ever been a mention in-story about why Nepgear doesn't use the Lilac mk2 processor units during Victory and Victory II. I would put it down to gameplay reasons (since you don't see the other CPUs use their stronger processor units from the get go).
I also don't think it's quite right to say that Victory II is set in a timeline where mk2 and Victory never occurred considering that...
Adult Neptune heavily implies that she's from the Ultradimension and knows about Plutia being a goddess, which Nepgear seems to acknowledge.
Arfoire also uses her two other forms in the game, which Nepgear again seems to recognise.
In Victory II, you can get the Lilac mk2 set during Neptune's route in the second part of the game, once you hit a certain investment level in public relations (which requires a ton of credits).

Briefly!
Victory II got a patch not too long ago (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/other/?page=patch) that fixes the game's freezing issue when the PS4 comes out of rest mode and the crashing issue when battling a certain enemy, plus some other minor tweaks.
Following on from last week's reveal of Million Arthur-chan, the next Victory II collab character (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/collabo/) is set to be revealed in next Thursday's issue of Dengeki PlayStation.
The Japanese PSN Store will have a demo of Victory II (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/demo/) next week, plus some Victory II PS Vita themes.
More DLC is also set to hi (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/other/?page=dlc)t, most notably the first Level Cap increase and Uzume's Dengeki-flavoured outfit hitting next week, a Famitsu-themed weapon for Neptune and DLC weapons the week after, and PSN avatars on June 9.
Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed on PS Vita is now out in NA, with EU also releasing very soon (EU digital coming next week). In case you missed it, the NA/EU limited editions contained a Soundtrack CD (http://vgmdb.net/album/52338) and a rather bland body pillow of Purple Heart. Like Re;Birth2's Vita limited edition, it's quite different from the JP limited edition, which had two drama CDs.
Oh is that so, guess that means they just won't show plutia and the others even though they probably can go between worlds. Probably a good thing. Still possibility of seeing Plutia dose exist.

Sweet, I was wondering when a Demo would hit.
You know I just thought of something. Older Neptune can become a Cpu in ultra dimension if they gave her a cpu memory, that would be a funny scene. Neptune suggesting they go to Ultradimension and find a Cpu memory for her, Plutia saying she has her own Neptune now and so on.

Im going to watch other Dimensions story later.
So im aware up to Uzume saved her world with help of her friends.
Beyond that, im not going to let myself spoiled just yet.
When the more than one Dark Goddesses appeared in high quality graphics and Uzume just despaired on top of the building at that time.
Quite unlike her to voice out for help.
One of the strange parts.
The reason that Neptune and Nepgear ended up in the Zero Dimension in the first place.
The game console Neptune picked up.
Uzume's voice in the machine did not sounded like usual Uzume I have known so far.
When Nepgear was investigating the mysteries of the Zero Dimension, who was that Uzume calling her own world a "prison" and wanting to escape from it?
As of this stage, all of Uzume's memories still has not been restored yet.
Who knows what other secrets Uzume has.
This is a second time I felt goosebumps in this series when the first time was that Conquer ending.
The second one is more than welcome.
But one big difference is that its excitement is tied to other dimensions I wonder.
Quite darker than previous ones.
Orange Heart maybe the more dangerous existence than Iris Heart, in my opinion.
Im looking forward after Zero Dimension story.
Right now im more interested in Uzume than Adult Neptune or Iris Heart.
THere is also the frightening possibility that ORange hearts friends became the dark goddess after saving the world? EIther that or they are dead.
However Zero dimension a prison... curious on the back story of that.

The connection with Zero Dimension.
How should I know?
I only watched Noire's story.
There is Neptune, Blanc and Vert story needs to be watched.
K Sha is not that important to me as of now.
Im still speculating if Uzume has to do something to do with this, somehow.
The unknown voice, working with the big boss robot looking.....
Noire story alone makes me cry sometimes.
I don't know, it is overly touching, too touching.
But then, im thinking back about the source that destroyed Zero Dimension in the beginning.
Dark Goddess is nowhere in Noire story.
Still, that black fire that influenced K Sha, Croire did that too?
I just don't know.
Again this whole new series itself is quite lot darker than I thought.
Even though it is maybe nothing, but mysteries unlocked little by little, I cannot help but to be hooked.

These new characters are just too great.
Uzume, Steamax, Something Shogun(?), and all the Gold Thirds.
It is no surprising if there's going to be an online game based on this series.
Im sure some people heard about Blanc's spinoff game other than Noire's.
I forgot Blanc spinoff game title though, something about Zombie Army.
There's a possibility that Uzume might appear in that series too.
So what do you people think of Uzume so far?
In my opinion, I like her better than Pururut.

Dengekiko news time!
Here's a first peek at Blanc's game! It looks as though the game's limited edition will include a 21 track soundtrack CD and a Drama CD, and it looks like there will also be a collab with Makai Trillion as well.
As guessed correctly by cloud04, the next collab character for Victory II will be God Eater-chan! (No preview of her design is up yet, however...)
Some spoilers ahead for the end of Victory II's second arc. This issue does also go through the idea chips needed to create the best (and worst) game discs.

Just how many spinoffs are there, five?
For the main plot, I wonder what comes after this?
First and second game introduced the goddess and the canidates.
Third and fourth game introduced the goddess from the different dimension.
The fifth one should be something different, doesn't it?

I wonder if since the series has a PC version now, would there be a CPU for the PC added in one of the games?
Isn't Peashy CPU of PC? her name even sounds like PC only with She instead of Cee plus I assume its why she's graphically (ie;boobs) bigger and more powerful than the other CPUs since PC gaming is always heralded as more powerful than console gaming.
I wish we could get more character references outside of scout chirpers of other franchises for these consoles, and not just cuz I wanna see Touhou-chan xp they can even call her Alice Shanghai.
With people having had a chance to play VII now, anybody have a wishful V.A to play Uzume in the potential dub?

The gamegear wasn't a fictional console though :heh:
Nepgear isn't the Gamegear. She's a handheld that would have been released alongside the Sega Neptune except the Sega Neptune doesn't exist either. If she was Gamegear she'd be older than Neptune.
Fair enough but remember that the PSP was released before the PS3 so, by that logic, Uni would be older than the PS3-version of Noire. :heh:

Well older game console generation wise. Technically PSP is the same generation as PS3 isn't it. Gamegear was the same generation as the Genesis I think.

A quick check of the Hong Kong PSN store page for the game (https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-hk/games/mega-dimension-neptune-vⅱ/cid=JP0031-CUSA01054_00-ASIA000000000000) does indeed show no DLC available.

Cave, her attacks are powerful and has a huge hit count especially her Black Label skill, but she's hampered by low Tec stat, get that high enough and she's pretty nasty.
I've been playing Re:Birth 2 and got true ending first playthrough. Now going through my first NG+ and trying to unlock everything just to find that apparently I didn't grab some materials from the true end extra dungeons so I'll have to go back and do another true ending later to unlock everything. Otherwise having a lot of fun, symbol attack gains and symbol attack destroy are pretty amazing too, didn't think it would also give Lily Rank but it does.
On a different note, the Neptune, Blanc, Uni, 5pb. party set up is pretty ridiculous once they build up even one EXE slot it's pretty much downhill from there and the enemy never gets another turn. Just massacred all the level 999 Colosseum matches.

Thank to the demo of Neptunia VII, now I'm sure I'll be there day one when it comes out in English. For a demo there is a lot of thing to play around, but that final demo boss still beat the crap out of my party so I'm wondering if it's possible to beat her or we will have to leave it at that until the actual game.

By the time I had finished exploring all the dungeons I was level 15 and the boss was super easy especially when using the next form exe drive skills.
Though you don't get any thing for beating her, not even decent experience so there really is no reason to beat her other than for fun.

Excluding Neptune and Nepgear, the recommended weapons for other characters' are not in the shop, dungeon or crafting, and some of the weapons that are craft-able requires them.

Technically, the series already has two. The I-guess-you-can-say-is-the-MC guys from Hyperdevotion Noire and Production Perfection. However, I don't think a major male character that's playable and on the Godness' side would appear since the series has the reputation of only having female playable characters. Having a male character in there would mess up the balance.
Though, I get the feeling one would appear eventually.
Well if this is a High school dxd and neptunia game then what about Issei or what ever the main character's name from High school xd he might be in there.

In case your wallet wasn't already crying out in pain from the Steam Summer Sale...
Neptunia Re;Birth1 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/282900/) and Re;Birth2 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/351710/) are currently today's daily deals, currently at 70% off (up from the previous 50% off).
If you haven't decided to try out the games on PC, now might be a good time.
Wow I didn't think Re:Birth 2 would get a bigger than 50% discount since it just came out on Steam. I guess I should have waited for the summer sale after all.

Pervertedness isn't really a trait of any of the goddesses.
Also if you're looking for that, then you're definitely in the wrong franchise.

I question if you have paid attention to rebirth 1 or victory.
question who's the MOST PERVERTED of the goddess?
I'd say it is a toss up between Vert and Iris Heart
Vert clearly likes BL and in rebirth 1 brain washes the brothers with it.
Iris is an extreme sadist and her coments tend to be more then a little suggestive
Noir's cosplay is completely tame and Blanc's novels seem to be R-15 power fantasies.
Nep may be a contender given the way she went straight to the monster rape when Compia was captured in rebirth 1.

Heroine Chronicle has proven that there is one way to improve a series, and that's removing a male character from the story completely.
Truly is sad that Male characters can be such hindrances. Actually I can hear Neptune saying something about it then BLanc saying it is male character syndrome or something like that.
Also it would be interesting to see that fallen angel girl that killed Isse in the first place meet Plutie sadist edition and get beatenlike Airfore did, infront of Isse's group.
Still devils and goddesses, what a lovely mix.

In other recent news, the website for Blanc's game (http://www.compileheart.com/blanc/) is now up. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the game so far is it's setting...
The four CPUs in this story are senior high school students (looks to be a different canon to the High School light novels), with Vert and Noire being the student council president and vice-president respectively.
In a similar fashion, Nepgear and Uni are junior high school students, and Rom and Ram are elementary school students.
Neptune is the club president of the school's film society, which Blanc is a part of. It also looks like Nepgear, Uni, Rom and Ram help out the club as well.
Late to the party, but just finished Re;birth1 since I got a new laptop.
Pardon me if there are some things that are actually old since I never played the original game. But on overall, I like it:
- Storywise, I like how the game was quite serious, almost like mk2. Was kinda wary about the more comedic approach people talked about. But thankfully they aren't that mixed up as I initially thought.
- Liking the characters too. All of the goddesses feel rather different, which is good. I felt that their antics and comedy routine were toned-down (ex: Noire's less bossy, and about her being a loner wasn't overused). The maker characters (except IF and Compa), though.. felt like they're rather forced to fit in. Often times, their appearance felt out of place. The side characters are also great, like the financier, and the perverted brothers, lol. They also have good interaction with the mainstays.
- Not much to comment about the system. The plans are quite convenient but the MB limit is a hindrance for sure. The 3-members party also made the combat difficult... but I guess this arrangement was done with the Nep-IF-Compa trio in mind.
- Good to see many of the costumes and items are brought back, even the ones in Victory. What I like best is the return of the best processor units from the original game (Lastation, Lowee, Leanbox, Planeptune).
A question. I've only unlocked Nepgear so far for the candidates. But when I finished the NG+ I realized that Nepgear was left off the whole story and her birth event didn't show up at the basilicom either.
Do I need to pick up her plan again and view the event? or is there no way to make the candidates involved in the story again for the subsequent playthroughs after they were born?
Uzume will be in Blanc's game, while a look at God Eater-chan (an upcoming DLC character for Victory II) has been posted (http://gematsu.com/2015/06/first-look-god-eater-chan-hyperdimension-neptunia-vii-uzume-neptune-vs-zombie-army).

How the candidates in RB1 work is that you unlock the plan at 30% shares and the plan itself requires 50% shares. After you unlock it you'll get a small scene at the basilicom where you add them to the party. This scene is basically the only scene where the candidate even appears in story, though I believe Nepgear has a small bit in the True Ending. Also all the candidates will appear in the "Thank you for playing" bit at the end if you got the True Ending.

Thanks for the explanation. :)
I see... that explains why Nepgear was missing, I went for the good ending for my NG+. Luckily I still have the save game before the final battle so I managed to get Uni and went for the true ending. Both of them appeared in the ending scene, so I assume the same'll go for Rom & Ram. Lol @ Uni on the final appearance, thinking we're playing on Vita :D

To a certain point, I can't help but feel like it's a missed opportunity to put Uzume in a gakuran (or keep the tie from her normal outfit). :)

As mentioned earlier, that's Hatsumi Sega, a new character starring in the Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls crossover game.
It's safe to say that her design is very much inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, considering Sonic is Sega's current mascot character.
If there's something else I've noticed (it's a bit of a stretch though), her overall looks (and name) are suspiciously similar to Miku Hatsune (which makes it all the more interesting, since KEI is the original designer/illustrator for Miku and the Sega Hard Girls).

It's hard to believe that it's been almost five years since the first Neptune game was released. In the space of said five years, we've had four main titles, three remakes, and four/five spin-off titles.
For Blanc's game, alongside new character Tamsoft-chan, Famitsu and Dengekiko are both returning to the fray!
For the SeHa Girls crossover game, Nepgear, Plutia and Uzume (Neptune side), plus Dreamcast, Saturn, Mega Drive and Game Gear (Sega Hard Girls side) will be characters in the game.

Which games does Cyberconnect2 appear in and is playable? Gonna get the ones she's on on either Vita or PC.
CC2-chan was first introduced as a DLC character for Victory on PS3. She has been in all three of the Re;Birth titles on Vita (and Steam), either directly or as a DLC add-on; though I don't think she has appeared in any of the spinoff titles thus far, or in Victory II either.

Wait, what? :twitch:
Is that profile page shared between Blanc and Iffy's game, or a game with new sega console girls has Nepgear and Uzume in it? Granted, the new ones actually look like the consoles they represent, so calling them a waste is too much, but thats still redundant as hell.
Saturn-chan is cute.
Iffy's game is a crossover with the SeHa Girls (http://shg.sega.jp/) IP, as recently featured in a short anime (http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=125426) hosted by CR outside of Japan.
The idea behind it seems to be that Iffy will be time-travelling to various eras of history alongside the new character Hatsumi Sega, and that each time period will have its own rival Neptunia/SeHa Girl pairing. (So Uzume would likely be found in the same era as Dreamcast-chan, for example.)
The only catch is that, for some reason, Neptune has been turned into a bike...
Nepgear, Plutia, and Uzume will be in both new Vita games. (This (http://www.compileheart.com/blanc/chara/) is the chara page for Blanc's game.)
EDIT: and speaking of IF's game:

Definitely interested to see the character interactions in Iffy's crossover game, particularly the following potential events...
- Neptune complaining about being turned into a bike and/or losing her main heroine status (again).
- Uzume and Dreamcast trying to out-daydream each other and/or somehow composing a ludicrous story (see Hi-sCool! Seha Girls (http://www.crunchyroll.com/hi-scool-seha-girls) Episode 3 for what I'm referring to).
- The contrasting personalities of Nepgear and Game Gear, as well as Plutia and Mega Drive.
In other news, new Victory II DLC party member Million Arthur-chan is to be released next Thursday (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/v2/other/?page=dlc), plus Neptune and Uzume go Spelunking for a limited time (http://www.siliconera.com/2015/08/20/hyperdimension-neptunia-cpus-go-spelunking-in-square-enix-game/).
On that note, the infamous Nepgyaa was made available as a Victory II DLC character last week...

I knew it was a crossover, but didn't know the rival angle. Thanks, it sounds interesting.
Unfortunately for Nep-nep, only consoles that actually exist are allowed this time. And you know she's gonna bring that up somehow

-Game gear looks kinda grumpy/lonely. Tsundere, perhaps? And oh boy, a serious(?) Glasses girl getting trained by Plutia. Good times.

You're correct in saying that Game Gear is a bit of a grump and loner, but she's more of a pessimist than a tsundere. Apparently, she's a moody one, doesn't really like going outdoors, and gets tired quite quickly (referencing the fact that whilst the Game Gear was more powerful than Nintendo's Game Boy at the time, the Game Gear's battery life was horrendous as a result).
Uzume and Dreamcast would probably get along best due to their mostly aligned personalities. I can see IF and Saturn getting along for the same reason, since they're generally the Only Sane Women (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OnlySaneMan) of the cast (this includes Mega Drive).

I had a quick look at the preview Dengeki Online article (http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/108/1108618/), and I couldn't help but notice this caption under the picture for Iffy:
▲炎をほうふつとさせるカラーリング。“爆炎の申し子”と呼ぶにふさわしいその姿を誌面でチェッ クせよ!
Google Translate says that "爆炎の申し子" = "Poster child of explosive flame".
Funnily enough, this title (Exploding Godhand) originates from Hiro, the half-demon, half-human heroine from the Idea Factory's Spectral Force series.
Perhaps it would be appropriate to say that IF gains a fire demon mode?
It's also probably safe to say that most of Iffy's chuunibyou and special attacks are inspired by the Spectral Force/Neverland series, I think.

Hyperdimensional War: Neptune's Platoon VS Sega Hard Girls
IF's fiery new "serious" mode puts her strength on par with a goddess.
It does seem all the Sega Hard Girls will make an appearance at least as Chirper icons.
There will also be an epilogue event in the crossover game which will focus on either the Neptune side or the Sega Hard Girls side. Which side will show up in the game will go to a vote on the game's website (one vote per day). Looks like votes from the print copies of Dengeki PlayStation magazine are worth three.

I know "serious" probably alludes to going full strenght, but I can't help to think it also involves Iffy gaining more tsukkomi power :heh: though from appearance it looks more like she's finally going full chuuni. Either option is fine by me. The voting bit sounds interesting. Nep side all the way!

Excellent news! I suspect that IFI will aim for a February or March 2016 release. Can't wait to go through the game again (and actually have a better grasp of the story this time... :heh:)
I find it interesting that this game is referred to as "Megadimension", which is similar to how the Japanese version is English-titled "Mega Dimension Neptune VII (Victory II)". I also find it interesting that they've opted to exclude "Victory" from the game's title.
The official website for the NA/EU release is now up. (http://ideafintl.com/nep-v2/)

Hopefully we get Million Arthur-chan (alongside God Eater-chan and Nitroplus-chan) in the NA/EU release as well. Looks like Million Arthur-chan is getting some new DLC costumes come Monday.
On another note, voting is now open for the Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls epilogue event. This vote will determine which side gets a fully-voiced in-game epilogue event with new CG art. One vote per day, and voting ends 17th September (Japan time).

Just to clarify, the above picture relates to the limited edition contents, comprising of the aforementioned Blanc figurine and a Drama CD titled "Living Dead Island: School Panic!".
The soundtrack CD is a pre-order bonus. Having given the samples a few listens, seems like this soundtrack is quite rockin', and they've managed to throw in an arrange/remix of mk2's Dancing Girl and Scamper. Looks like they've also included the character theme songs from Neptunia U.
http://i.imgur.com/SELPqN9.png
Rather small update for this fortnight. Aside from the new CG image, the magazine also gives a quick peek at the soundtrack CD artwork, plus the cover art for the Collaboration Edition of Idol College's Be My Zombie (the game's opening theme).
There's quite a few special bosses in Blanc's games, and it appears that defeating them will reward you with a particular processor unit item that is based off the boss you've defeated.
Also included this issue was a new Nep no Kai column (meaning more Tsunako art and 4komas). There was also a little feature on Phantasy Star Online 2, with a preview of the previously mentioned Neptunia-themed items and costumes.

Shifting gears...
The shop bonus items page has been updated for Blanc's game. (http://www.compileheart.com/blanc/info/?page=shop) Perhaps surprisingly, the majority of the fanservicey items all feature Noire (four items).
The Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls crossover game's website also got updated with Iffy's new "serious" mode:

The Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls crossover game's website also updated to include info on shop bonus items, limited edition contents and the preorder bonus (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/vs/info/):
Preorder bonus: Mini soundtrack CD
Limited edition: Drama CD, 32 page character art book, and sticker(s)?
Expect to see at least one fanservicey item of IF. (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/vs/info/shop.php)
I like the Fammys pic:

There may be more news for the crossover game during one of Sega's TGS 2015 events (http://gematsu.com/2015/09/tokyo-game-show-2015-live-stream-schedule#sega).
Although, given that Segata Sanshiro himself will be at thus year's event (due to his featuring (https://twitter.com/SEGA_OFFICIAL/status/641838546962124801) in Project X Zone 2), might one hope to see him take some time to support Sega Saturn-chan here?
I mean, seriously; having him show up in at least one of her special moves sounds like too good a trick to miss. Right?

If Segata Sanshiro does show up in the Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls game, I expect him to judo throw his opponents and give them an explosive death. (https://youtu.be/gc3AK8k90xw?t=1m13s)
I think it's more likely that either he only gets a passing mention, or a joke is made about Segata being a potential suitor for Saturn... :heh:
In other news, the Japanese PS Vita version of Re;Birth3 got a patch a few days ago, which aside from a few bug fixes, also adds compatibility for a new piece of free DLC that was released today. Namely, the addition of six scouts to Stella's Dungeon party. We've got a few more details on both Blanc's game and the crossover game this issue!
Most notably, the Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls crossover game will include a class changing system of sorts, with hidden classes that can also be unlocked.
Next fortnight marks the 600th issue of Dengeki PlayStation. The next issue will also include a code for Nepgyaa as an assist character for Blanc's game.

Since the SeHa Girls crossover is on the way, I wondered if it would be okay to mention SHG merchandise here...
Good Smile Company are working on a Nendoroid for Sega Saturn (http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/5086/Nendoroid+Sega+Saturn.html), as well as a "this is COOL" Skeleton Sega Saturn figure (http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/5098/Skeleton+Sega+Saturn.html) (no doubt inspired by this Japanese Saturn model (http://segaretro.org/Sega_Saturn_consoles#Skeleton_Saturn)).
I like how both Nep's (http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/4122/Nendoroid+Neptune.html) and Sega Saturn's Nendos can pose with their respective game (http://images.goodsmile.info/cgm/images/product/20131114/4122/27118/large/2cf8b22b243dbdfe3cd7cea6aadc10cf.jpg) controllers (http://images.goodsmile.info/cgm/images/product/20150619/5086/34204/large/00bdfbf752b3e5424f20da3cf3200ca8.jpg)...

I've got the Saturn Nendoroid on pre-order, which is releasing in December. I'll be sure to snap a photo of both the Neptune and Saturn Nendoroids. :)
On the topic of merchandise, I've been neglecting to mention the 1/8 scale figure of Noire (http://www.broccoli.co.jp/hobby/figure12-np_noire/) that Puchiko Broccoli will (also) be releasing in December.

This is the second thread I've posted about those Sega Saturn figures in which Noire has shown up to try and hog the spotlight. It's almost as if Lastation has a history of doing that (http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/may/14/sega-saturn-how-one-decision-destroyed-playstations-greatest-rival)...
...better call up Mega Drive's secret weapon: The Emperor of Destruction (http://www.takaratomy-arts.co.jp/specials/hobby/tf/md/)! (Unless he's busy backing up Genesis-chan instead (http://e.takaratomy-arts.co.jp/shop/item_detail?category_id=0&item_id=1565754).)
And how might Lastation respond? As a time-travelling Maximal would say... "that's just Prime (http://www.takaratomy-arts.co.jp/specials/hobby/tf/ps/)."

As has been the case since the Japanese release of Neptunia Victory, the best goodies are exclusive to Ebten's Famitsu DX Pack (http://ebten.jp/p/4995857094110/) (in addition to any limited edition and/or pre-order bonus goodies). The B2-size tapestry is illustrated by one Urimo (うりも). Aside from the tapestry, you'll also get a 8-bit themed mug and 2016 desk calendar. You can buy the limited edition for the princely sum of 12990 yen, or the standard edition for 9750 yen - both editions come with the Famitsu DX Pack if you buy from Ebten (price may or may not include the consumption tax, and of course any costs of importing it if you aren't in Japan).

Dengeki PlayStation has hit 600 issues! There's more details regarding Blanc's and the Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls crossover game!
For the crossover game, nao and marina will be doing the opening and ending songs respectively.
Nitroplus-chan's completed design is revealed! It looks like her voice actor will be Sachika Misawa (perhpas most well known for her roles as Kuroyukihime in Accel World and Arisa Meigo in the A Certain Magical Index Endymion movie).
Blanc's game hits the shelves next week, and a DLC code is included in this issue to have Nepgyaa available as an assist character. Politan, the mascot for Dengeki (PlayStation), will also be available as an assist character via DLC code next issue.

Alongside the previously mentioned Dengeki PlayStation DLC code and Blanc's Idol College Hammer (http://www.compileheart.com/blanc/download_contents/) (included with the collab edition of the OP & ED song album (http://vgmdb.net/album/54105)), the next issue of Famitsu will also include a DLC code that will bestow Famitsu-chan with the "Platinum Blaster" weapon.

Wait, ain't this technically just Neptune U with proper boss?
I believe it was mentioned before that Blanc's game would essentially be expansion of U - The biggest addition would have to be the multiplayer.
Now that I think about it, during the trailer, I couldn't help but feel that Famitsu and Dengekiko weren't exactly on amicable terms. I wonder if there's a Lily Rank system in this game as well? (Won't be finding out until I get my copy next week, I think.)
On that note, Blanc's game: Gekijigen Blanc+Neptune VS Zombie Gundan (a.k.a. Uberdimension Blanc+Neptune Faction VS the Zombie Army) is now out in Japan! The Japanese PSN Store page (https://store.playstation.com/#!/ja-jp/%E3%82%B2%E3%83%BC%E3%83%A0/%E6%BF%80%E6%AC%A1%E5%85%83%E3%82%BF%E3%83%83%E3%8 2%B0-%E3%83%96%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3%EF%BC%8B%E3%83%8D%E3%8 3%97%E3%83%86%E3%83%A5%E3%83%BC%E3%83%8Cvs%E3%82%B E%E3%83%B3%E3%83%93%E8%BB%8D%E5%9B%A3/cid=JP0031-PCSG00578_00-GEKIBLANCNEP0000) lists the download at 1.1GB.
Please also find some scans from this week's Weekly Famitsu.
As mentioned before, a DLC code is included in this issue for Famitsu-chan's weapon: "Platinum Blaster".
The other DLC codes (Dengeki PlayStation's Nepgyaa assist character, and Blanc's Idol College Hammer), should now also be redeemable on the Japanese PSN Store.

It’s due out in North America and Europe in early 2016 (retailers have it listed for January 26 and February 5, respectively). (http://gematsu.com/2015/10/44-minutes-english-megadimension-neptunia-vii-gameplay)

Thank you. I've been wanting to know this information for a long time now.

I hope their next stream goes better for them... the lag was pretty bad when I watched it live.
I wonder who they got to do the English voices for Uzume and Umio?

Small update this time around. The feature for the crossover game outlines the three story chapters of the game. The Dengekiya online store (http://dengekiya.com/shop/b/bS1400135/) is now selling a bunch of new Nep merch, and it looks like a special 5th Anniversary Dengeki Neptune issue is set to be released on November 26.
There's a little feature on Blanc's game too, showcasing the giant eight bosses.

In other news:
The NA/EU site for Neptunia VII (http://ideafintl.com/nep-v2/characters/) has been updated to include bios for the CPU Candidates.
Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls JP website (http://www.compileheart.com/neptune/vs/) updated: new gallery shots and new system page for Dungeons added. New stuff you can do in dungeons include dashing, dash jumps, climbing walls and ropes, plus crawling. Destructible objects and collectibles make a return.
The Japanese version of Neptunia VII to get patch 1.04 (no date announced yet) for compatibility for future DLC, alongside other bug-squashing and tweaking.
The Japanese version of Blanc's game was patched to v1.01- new stuff includes HP values when locked onto an enemy, torn outfits for characters that were in Neptunia U, and the ability to respec characters (prior to the patch, you would spend AP when levelling up to upgrade HP, ATK, DEF and TECH, but you didn't have a way to undo the changes). A special multiplayer quest was also added too.
EDIT: Looks like I missed hearing about this one: To celebrate Blanc's game, Hifumi Shobo are taking orders for a Blanc oppai mousepad (based off Blanc's dream in Neptunia VII) for a limited time (30 Oct to 15 Nov), with delivery expected to be in Jan 2016 - details here (http://www.hifumi.co.jp/books/info/blanc_release.html).

PSA: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation is now available on Steam! (http://store.steampowered.com/app/353270/) It's 40% off for the first week.
On amazon it says that Hyper dimensional Neptunia will be avliable January 26, 2016. however this dose not mean much since they have t put a date on all pre releases, but it gives us a idea of its release.

Nice, I wonder why IFI haven't said anything about this yet? This should be good news for those who don't use or refuse to use Steam (and would prefer the DRM-free option).

Another small update this time around. The Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls game is coming out in two weeks (Nov 26), and as mentioned before, a special Dengeki Neptune magazine issue is being released on the same day to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Neptunia franchise. It looks like this special edition mag will also include a bunch of goodies, including a calendar, a poster, a sticker, a DLC code (and more).
We also get our first look at what appears to be a major boss in the game.
I find this funny, since in Neptunia U, Neptune mentions to Dengekiko about getting a Dengeki Planeptune magazine, to which Dengekiko responds "if it ever happens, we'll let you know".

Nepgear in Sega Hard Girls game isn't a Goddess Candidate, she is a Goddess like Neptune, Plutia and Uzume.
The story was actually fun, I think it might be comparable to the main series and way better than other spin offs.
The thing about changing history, how Neptune really treated Nepgear in this game is really the gold part for me.
I don't really mind Noire, Blanc, Very, and other Goddess Candidates in this game.
And Neptune and Segami always gets into pointless argument which is rather ironically entertaining, IF really have no luck in this series.
About Histoire, there are two kinds of them.
The adult looking one and child looking.
No, Trick the Hard actually got it all wrong, even though original Histoire is still small.
In the Victory version, Histoire is a size of a baby.
Original one have just only one tone no matter what emotion she has and maybe emotionless while the Victory one has more than one tone and more expressive compared to the original.
And there is Croire, I'm getting to her later.
There's an ESRB rating for V-II for PC now which if following past examples means they'll announce the game coming to steam/pc in like 4-6 months or so.

I think it's important to note that an official release date hasn't been announced by IFI yet, though it's safe to assume/infer that it will be releasing within the next two months.
It's also important to note that not a lot of titles get the pre-order treatment on PSN, and it's something that is usually reserved for the big triple-A titles.
I'm guessing the NA/EU edition of VII will hover around the 8.5GB to 10GB mark once downloaded/installed.

Not long to go now...
The most interesting thing I noticed with the announcement is that the Japanese voiceovers will be free DLC, like with Re;Birth3 (PlayStation Vita).
For Re;Birth3 on the Vita, it made sense since the game was very close to the max capacity of a PSV Game Card. It does makes me curious why this decision was made for VII, considering the Japanese voiceovers were included on-disc/within the PSN Store version for Omega Quintet.
In other news: initially teased on the back cover of last year's Dengeki Neptune 5th Anniversary special magazine issue, Tsunako will be releasing a new 320-page artbook (http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/190/1190117/):

Trivia: you may notice the logo for Silicon Studio (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicon_Studio) on the rear of the game case, alongside logos for their middleware products Motion Portrait (https://www.siliconstudio.co.jp/en/products-service/motion-portrait/) and YEBIS 2 (which is probably the main reason lighting and overall camera/lens effects in VII is improved over previous titles). Silicon Studio also has partnerships with various notable companies, IF being one of them, NIS, Sega, Marvelous, Bandai Namco, From Software, and Koei Tecmo among others.
Haven't had a chance to really start the game as of yet due to lack of time. I'll see if I can post some first impressions of the English dub later on...
Black Heart-sama just arrived! :D

Tsunako will be releasing a new 320-page artbook (http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/190/1190117/):
The A4-sized artbook will contain artwork from Compile Heart's Neptune, Date A Live and Fairy Fencer F games, will cost around 3900 yen (plus tax), and will release 25 Feb.
Man, I really want that. But probably not around the release date since I just bought that figure :heh:

I have a question regarding Hyperdimension Neptunia U Action Unleashed, is the NA version censored or are the characters just making references to being partially undressed? I am new to the series and was wondering if it was or not?

I have a question regarding Hyperdimension Neptunia U Action Unleashed, is the NA version censored or are the characters just making references to being partially undressed? I am new to the series and was wondering if it was or not?
Whilst I haven't played the Japanese version, I don't believe the NA/EU version of Neptunia U was censored at all (particularly since the clothing damage mechanic is the same between both versions).
The clothing damage mechanic was removed in Blanc's game, but the pre-torn outfits for the 10 characters that were in U were made available in a patch.
So, I've been slugging away at the NA/EU version of VII (so far, nearing the end of the Hyper Dimension G arc). Overall, I think a good job has been done with the English dub for the voices, although I am a bit miffed that a number of events weren't voiced (though not surprised).
Breaking down my first impressions real quick:
Uzume: Kinda reminded me of Ash Ketchum initially, funnily enough. That being said, excellent choice for whoever they picked for this role.
Umio: As expected, quite the gentlemanly voice. No qualms here.
Big Neptune: I assume it's the same voice actor as the usual Neptune/Purple Heart, so not surprising this was done well.
Arfoire: No complaints, really well done.
Gold Third: Kinda indifferent at this stage... they'll probably grow on me later on. K-Sha is a highlight though.
Steamax & Affimojas: I really like the dub voices for these two, it really matches their personalities quite well.
Vert: My understanding is that the usual dub voice actor for Vert wasn't able to provide her voice this time around due to time conflicts. I have mixed feelings about the voice acting for Vert this time around, but it's passable...

So a few days ago I was looking for anime and video games that would scratch a particular itch of mine: the itch for an all-female cast so I could start revving up my yuri fantasies faster than Sonic the Hedgehog. And it turns out the bewbtacular jRPG Hyperdimension Neptunia series was exactly what the doctor ordered when I previously diagnosed it wrong with bland harem syndrome
So being the perv that I am, I jumped into Hyperdimension Neptunia MkII because it advertised a yuri shipping mechanic on top of being rated M so I suspected content spicier than habanero but instead got the best wasabi I never knew I wanted. I'm actually spending less time thinking about who's going to hump who and more time trying to figure out the best way to arrange my gangsters so they can mug the mooks via gigantic injection needles
See the combat system is something like a turn-based strategy game where you move your happy band of superpowered waifus into position to attack slimes with dog ears and Pac Man ghosts. But unlike those games, you have full 3D movement as opposed to being limited to squares because the development team realized that microsteps are more essential than arbitrarily moving an entire body length. But I do wish the action commands only tied to one "magic" meter instead of relegating normal sword whacks to one meter and steroid induced sword whacks using BOTH meters
Thankfully the baseball sponsored sword whacks are not a necessity being that they're tied down to the barely refilling meter while the other meter recharges every turn. The recharging meter can also be stockpiled by skipping a turn so that you can do a poop load of sword whacks more damaging than if you just sword whacked in two separate turns. So there is some merit to be had in not shooting your oversized gun early but rather discharging all the bullets at the perfect time to satisfying effect
Unfortunately it's a little irksome trying to appreciate the mess the characters leave behind because the game runs at or below 30fps and the artifacting puts more edges on the product than Christopher Nolan having his way with a new project. It's a shame though because the general artstyle lends itself to something that would age gracefully and the waifu designs are fairly sensible despite the cover art lacking more clothing than this game lacks framerate
Though I have to say the game isn't lacking in charm and not because waifus yuri it up with each other but because this is a video game about a hyper stylized 7th generation console war, drenched in more references than a college graduate's thesis. Unfortunately content like this becomes very dated and I don't envy future generations looking up what the giant green X on the world map is supposed to be but I WOULD be very jealous of them keeping all the Hyperdimension Neptunia yuri to themselves so why don't you share damn it?

Despite being time-poor as of late, I've somehow managed to successfully clear Neptunia VII (again) and reach the normal end (time taken, approx. 40 hours).

Although I'll probably need to replay a few events, I'm overall pretty happy with the job done with the English dubbing (despite my preference for the Japanese voice acting), particularly since the quality picks up closer to the tailend of the game. It's still a bit of shame that a proportion of story-related events weren't dubbed though.
I really should get around to updating the initial write-up I did back on page 89... That being said, New Game Plus is a huge boon for replayability, like gaining flag items that increase dungeon movement speed, and disabling of random battles on the world map, so getting to the True End is much quicker and easier the second time around.
Briefy in recent news:
- This week's round of VII DLC for the NA/EU versions has been released, most notably Umio as an extra party member, the Trillion: God of Destruction Costume Set and PS4 themes. (http://ideafintl.com/updates/2016/03/08/3273.html)
- Steam sale: The Neptunia games on PC are currently on sale for the next few days. (http://store.steampowered.com/sale/hyperdimension-neptunia-franchise/) Re;Birth1 is currently 5.99USD, Re;Birth2 is at 8.99USD and Re;Birth3 is at 11.99USD.
I think PS4 should be added to the thread title now, too.

Certainly makes me curious if they've been planning to move away from titling the games with "Neptunia".
In any case, I'm glad IFI have managed to secure licensing for this game as well.
In other recent news:
The NA/EU Vita versions of MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies have been delayed. New release date for NA is May 10, whilst for EU is TBA.
On the bright side, the contents of the Limited Edition of MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies have been announced (http://ideafintl.com/updates/2016/04/08/3411.html), and the contents are similar to the Japanese Limited Edition. Preorders open April 11.

I wonder what the system requirements for VII on PC are? Hopefully they won't be too much greater than the last few Neptunia ports.
