Since I didn't see one like this I put this up.

I also want to know if everyone in the group all became imas fans AFTER the anime?
I knew about imas since 2007 or 08 but didn't get into it until 2009 when Hibiki officially debuted. I was hooked, and have been a fan since then.

I had a nice run in with the music long beforehand, and I also saw a few of the games (but never got to play them). In fact, iM@S 2 PS3 will be the first one I own once I find the expenses have stepped aside.

You're quite the Hibiki fan, Mind M@ster- I'll respectfully step aside.

I've sampled but can't full out play any games, but I have imas2 for xbox 360. But I'm waiting to get a Japanese 360 because of region lock. orz

And I'm surprised still at how a "war" started so quickly! O.o Japanese and us "veteran" imas fans have an unwritten gentleman code about our favorites and waifus. iM@S fans are widely known to be perverted gentlemen, as oddly as that sounds.

Correct me if I'm mistaken here, but are you then stuck with an unplayable copy of iM@S 2 on XBOX 360?

I was unaware of such conduct! I just don't like getting beat up by a wave of fans, that's all. *tips tophat and sips tea*

I first heard about iM@S when the XBOX 360 trailer for Go My Way came out. I was totally floored by the graphics and music. I picked up the 3 PSP games when they came out; this'll be my first console version.

My interest in iM@S sparked back in '08 when I spent my days wandering around YouTube. After coming across a bunch of the videos I started to follow iM@S time to time. Then in early '09 "THE iDOLM@STER SP" games came out and around the same time I purchased a PSP and I just so happened to pick it up "Perfect Sun" on a whim. Probably the best decision I made next to buying the PSP all year.

Since then I've been addicted. Started buying goods like CDs, figures, etc. whenever I could afford to. Unfortunately buying the CDs dont come cheap since they're so popular...even a used copy still runs for a decent price...not like CDs of other series that you can find on the JP amazon for 1 yen. (Yeah, some people re-sell their CDs for 1 yen. Good news for me...urr, us?)

I was thrilled to hear that the anime series was starting and that iM@S2 was coming out on the PS3, I think my love has grown for it even more since then.

Yeah, I have the Limited Edition of imas2 on xbox360. I nabbed it ASAP because I HAD to get the Little Match Girl song/dance in game. That's the only way to get it is the Limited Edition.

Is it unplayable on your XBOX though? It'd be a shame to have it just sitting there...

...really? The song only comes in the LE for the 360version?

...sorry to have to tell you this but, in the PS3 version its one of the default songs.

It was at the time imas2 was first released. :B

But I believe some of the songs are xbox360 only, not sure which ones. I think Kyun! Vampire Girl is and some others are.

But DLC is also more expensive on PS3, my friend told me about the comparisons.

That's true, but the fact that 360 users pay for all the DLC and then it's given to the the PS3 users for free is kind of cruel...

Catalogs 1-3 were free I think, + Little Match Girl. Scamco gets money either way.

Buddy of mine told me the prices just now. Scamco at it's finest.

Well, that's basic business. ScamcoBandai's localization teams are the ones that are always skimping on stuff for more money. Like Tales.
