Alright, the PV at RC is finally out!
https://randomc.net/2019/06/28/summer-2019-preview/
Let's see what we got, looks like a busy season!
Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e: Okay, magic and politics. That looks pretty interesting overall, so two episodes to convince me. It didn't work so well with Fairy Gone, but then that series had some really low emotional content (everybody seemed way too non-involved with their plot, IMO) and hopefully this will be better. Also, that is one Wolverine-looking MF'er.
Kanata no Astra: Hey, a real science-fiction series and while I spy a lot of quite young characters, no obviously annoying alien mascot is visible. Could be good, three episodes.
Maou-sama, Retry!: That's the WRONG Maou-sama, dammit!

Still, I guess I'll look it up, the protagonist at least has an adult body, even if he is a teenager. I also like his character design, looks Alucard'ish. Two episodes.
Dr.STONE: This looks ridiculous in a million ways.

But, you gotta admire Mr. Crazy Haired Scientiest, because he wants to save humanity WITH SCIENCE, OF COURSE!

Two episodes to convince me to stick around.
Enen no Shouboutai: Isn't this just another magical exorcist series, now only with magical firemen? I don't know, one episode, since I'm not sold on the premise.
Granbelm: OH SHIT! Magical girl mecha! The secret mixture nobody has tried yet (to the best of my knowledge)! Also, transfer student from Germany, so that's good, unless they try to pronounce actual German.

Yeah, this might be super good or super goofy. Three episodes at least.
Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo: Rail Zeppelin Grace Note: Huh. A continuation of Fate: Zero with Waver as an adult. That sounds... really appealing. Yeah, I think this is an automatic pick-up, unless they terribly botch it.
Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV: So, uh, I never saw the original Symphogear. Is it any good?
Vinland Saga: So, yeah, I've heard/read people salivating over this for what appears years now, so I guess I gotta check out the anime version of
Vikings. Three episodes, since I think the premise might be a hard sell for me. I didn't like
Vikings that much.
Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou: You know, after
Shield Hero generally did extremely well in its premise of "Dude gets transported to another world and ends up betrayed by his peers", this will have quite an uphill battle to convince me that it needs to be here. Also note the distinct lack of Racoon waifus.

Two episodes, because I think the first episode alone will have to be the initial premise laid out in the description on RC.
COP CRAFT: Oh, nice. That has some
Re:Creators vibes, which after
Macross Frontier is the show I second most want to get a continuation (third and fourth are
Maou-Sama and
Log Horizon). Definitely something I'll give at least three episodes.
Isekai Cheat Magician: Help, help, it's another generic isekai. One episode, because Kenja no Mago turned out to be unexpectedly charming (I would never say it was actually
good, though).
To Aru Kagaku no Accelerator: And here we have an entire anime of the biggest edgelord ever to grace the screen of animation since Zuko. Yeah, of course I'm going to watch this, what do you think?
Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darouka: Familia Myth II, i.e. DanMachi 2: Like, d'oh. Liliruca, here I come.

Also, Bell and Aiz, of course.
There's also a DanMachi movie out this season, so I'll look that up as well, of course.
BEM: Hmmm. A series re-make from the sixties. This kinda has vibes of "too cool for school" anime I've come to dislike in the past. But, I guess one episode to feel out the actual vibe of it.
So, that's a strong showing, with three automatic pick-ups (DanMachi, To Aru no Accelerator and Lord El-Melloi) and twelve other interesting shows, of which I think at least two to three might be almost certain pick-ups and some long-shots.
What are your picks? And, what the hell happened to the Macross show we were supposed to get last or this year?
