Half a month ago, my Unc was in good health, but he was convinced by his quack to be examined. He then ended up in a vegetated state about a week later. Da fuq?

But wait a minute, HOSPITALS IN THE OLD COUNTRY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TOP NOTCH!

Well, that sucks.

By nature the end of last year and this has not been a good time for families both mine and my co-workers.

My direct co-workers mother was taken to the hospital because of a possible stroke yesterday. No word on her condition since. And this has been culminating after the last 3 weeks of medical issues for her.

Another co-worker's mother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and is in her final months.

An uncle in our family has also been diagnosed the same and when I saw him at Christmas marks be the last time I will probably see him.

So yea, to me it is a realization of a generation going onward with many Great Aunts, Uncles, etc. Been to more funerals than I care to last few years.

My condolences, Tak. We're all getting older and, as we do, we're getting closer and closer to becoming stardust again, I guess.

I'm back. I'll catch up with y'all over the next days, but for now I got to get some rest. Tomorrow I'm directly back to work and ain't I looking forward to working through a hundred mails, at least...

Anyway, I'll get to look at the seasons offerings in anime in the next two weeks or so.

Yeah, numbers have exploded a bit with Legion. I got about six million HP on my main, IIRC. But with BfA's there's a stat crush coming, so we'll be back to "15k HP" or somesuch at the start of it.

I'm just leveling a horde tauren Paladin for the funzies. Only got a mage on that side (compared to my 10 ally characters), so I wanted some variety. Given that BfA will have completely different leveling experiences, I guess it'll be worth it. Also, I need to unlock the allied races for the horde, too.

So... I just found out, for many years between 2005 to 2010, I was apparently working out with this guy...

Should have asked for an autograph... and I had years to do just that...

I got sympathy for them. Their social services have been gutted, they have only a very slow recovery of their living standard to look forward to. I guess fighting over something symbolic like this makes some people feel better (also, it helps the government distract the populace, which of course is less savory overall).

Some people can't let go of the past, I guess... reeks of those "let's make XXX great again" slogans, to me. But, hey, wars have literally been waged for less.

Except, “make xxx great again” is actually indictive of “making” something. This... this isn’t “making” anything... Its, MUH HURT FEELINGS...

Oh, and this from a country that doesn’t produce much, has a habit of going bankrupt, and no power to actually wage war.
