I didn't realise we had a group on here!

I'm a pharmacist from Adelaide. Been into anime and Jpop for the last 11 or 12 odd years. That's showing my age for you! I'm Chinese-Vietnamese, but born and raised an Aussie. I'm also a big fan of football (or soccer, as most people call it here) - and follow FC Barcelona and Adelaide United religiously.

Born here in Australia, parents are from Taiwan. I'm not "Asian" at all... Cept' for the fact I like manga and anime. I am a current student in Melbourne studying Year 12 VCE @ CBGS (If you know what this is... Good for you... LOL) I also play the guitar, having 2 years and a bit of experience (Not much.) I plan on picking Japanese and I was introduced the world of manga and anime by Naruto before it went mainstream when I was in middle school. Obviously I had already seen DBZ and Pokemon, but I wasn't aware nor was too interested into the Japanese culture back then.

I'm from Gold Coast in Queensland currently a 2nd year studying Digital Media in uni. I'm Korean but might as well be Aussie. I've been watching anime since I was in kindergarten probably not even realising it's anime. I've played guitar for 5 years and bass for less than a year. I enjoy all forms of music hopelessly addicted to J-pop. I consider myself as trilingual as I've been studying Japanese. Not a complete beginner but not advanced either. I know a few simple sentences, some kanji.

First got into anime in 2005 just after graduating High School with some pretty obscure stuff. Unlike the standard case, I was introduced to anime by Mahoromatic, Chobits, Fruits Basket and Vandread before I got onto the more popular stuff like Full Metal Alchemist. As a result, my taste has remained pretty obscure, though I can certainly enjoy the mainstream stuff as well.

I don't have a specific genre I prefer, as you'll find with my favourites being quite varied in style. Originality is the thing I look for in anime more than anything else.
