I don't really comprehend this contraption well and don't understand why it was created when the ol' fashioned waffle irons work.

Not everything is invented because "something does not work". Of course old waffle irons work! But what's wrong with having two as part of the same device? And cranking a handle to spin items around is kinda interesting for some people too. I know someone who has three of these devices - he whips out those waffles like yesterday's giraffe stampede I tell ya!

I have a disturbing lack of waffles and pancakes in my life. I should eat more of 'em...

Here is a link to a double sided waffle iron to encourage the banishment of said disturbance through practical means:

You can find em for way cheaper too, I think - maybe 35$ or so?

I eat waffles almost everyday because that's the only thing I can eat in school.
I still don't hate them, but maybe by next year...

@Flower: Oh, so it is just like a regular waffle iron, but it lets you cook two waffles at once?

Yep, yep, yep!
And you can spin it around, too.
Am not sure if one would want to juggle it, though....

Damn it Urzu, you just making me feel hungry! Looks good though...
I am on a diet right now so I been eating really light, mostly for breakfast and dinner though.

Thanks. I've enhanced my cooking skills over the last several years. I have a knack for cooking and can make some pretty good meals. I can do other kinds of meals than just what was shown, from things like some good soups and stews made from scratch, to this great lasagne I made once (about 9 months ago), to spaghetti and meatballs with meatballs made from scratch. I gotta do the spaghetti and meatballs from scratch again. I can make very good Italian meatballs and I'm trying to refine my recipe and get it down pretty well. I might even make the pasta sauce from scratch next time I make meatballs from scratch. It isn't too hard, you use a certain kind of canned tomatoes (couple of big cans; whole tomatoes with the skins already removed, you break them into chunks when you add them to the pot) and use things such as fresh garlic, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper...you can make a very basic pasta sauce or jazz it up with things like some hard Italian cheeses or some crushed red pepper flakes for a small element of heat...I like to just do a pretty basic sauce, but with fresh garlic and fresh basil, for sure.
