Evil Rick - Is this your first dragon Rick? The dragon is kept simple but it is very nicley drawn. The mountains looks too bright or just lacks depth. I neved liked your way of shading very much, using only smooth shading. Not all shades are smooth, some shades fades in and out very fast. Anyway, she looks very cocky and dangerous and quite bad ass indeed. Very special suite to wear on a dragon slaying mission but it works!

Cloak and Dagger - You would have gotten a vote if you just had time to finnish the drawing up! I like your pose the best of this month! So bad ass so she can just drag a strong man around with her bare hands.

Konstargirl - Good chibi proportions. I see that you color hair better then usual! The thought of picking chibis to a bad ass girl theme can be a challange. A challange I think you manage quite good, I can easily see the bad assness of the front girl with her cocky attitude! I would like if you had spent more time on this piece adding more elements etc.

Cierra - Here are some possitives about your drawing for you: Very sexy girl, love her hair, nice body, the cloth she is holding is very nicley drawn and I love her clothes. In other words, I love your whole drawing and I know that you with more time and love could make this even better! Get well soon aye?

C.A. - You are amazing C.A.!! Those clothes are by far the best! Love the scythe aswell, particular the details if the top blade. Too bad the lines of the lower blade cuts the girls legs in a bit. I don't like her hair or whatever the fluffy area is. A different approach on that part could have earned you a vote . Like the motion in your drawing but the face expression is a bit weak.

Reaper1984 - Like the style of shading the hair. The arms needs revisiting but you did the hands quite nice still! You have a nice expression but maybe with a bit smaller pupils she would have looked even more angry. Add folds and some shades to her clothes and she will look very nice!

Nimue Sin - This style of drawing a body reminded my of "gorillaz" a bit, Or drawings of ghouls. It gives the feeling of evil rather then bad ass. I don't think the head matches the body very good, the body looks evil while the head looks good. I like idea of the background very much! A bit more depth in it and it would have looked amazing

Geki - Nice body and pose. She reminded me of the SoulCalibur IV character Tira:

Your girl looks more innocent bad ass then Tira though but still bad ass indeed! A bit sketchy feeling but I like this one anyway

Satsumaru - Very cute pose pose, nice body, as always nice coloring. Looks more innocent and embarrassed then she looks bad ass though. I always love your work, this is no exeption. The background didn't help the theme but your type of backgrounds is a easy way to not having to draw a landscape and still make it look good

Animepandafeak - That pose sure is a hard one to do! You managed very well, yet not perfect. Some folds on her clothes would look good and shading overall. The drawing looks very alive but could use some kind of background.

Anyway, this month has been great! Many participants aswell as many high quality submissions! Some have improved greatly and we all have much to learn still including myself. I wish all participents the best of luck!

@Zhaxra, although I loved your concept, your execution didnt match the impact the picture demanded. Simple addition like lines for effects and other tools could have made the pic more eye catching

@Cloak, I was caught between you and C.A, but you had a better expression for your character, which went with the theme

@Satsu, You reason for loss of points was definitely not for concept or execution. The pic could have had more creative element. A background, or a pose or some accesory to make the character match its true potential

This one was amazing, really nice colored. It doesn't really match up with the others when it comes to badass. The reason I chose this one instead of one of the other ones is because of your skill of coloring, drawing outline and creativity. I noticed u had the same pupil in your eye as I had XD

-Not as bad ass compared to the other two I voted, but I like the elegance of piece. The girl and the scythe are posed so it looks like one of those black and white window cut outs. It has a nice style to it. I think black and white suits this picture quite well as it helps emphasis the gothic factor that your dress suggests.
Execution didnt score perfect because I believe a digitally painted black would have done it more just. But I'm just being picky.

-This is a great concept. I like the idea that everything around the drawing is meant to support the idea that the girl is bad ass, yet the bad ass girl herself isnt suggesting particularly much herself. Even her dress is completely innocence, but you still get the feel that shes not to be messed with. All of that contributed to the points for concept.
For creativity... I gave points like this..... I saw your concept as "let the surroundings hint what she is". And that is a great concept, but I thought you could have chosen something aside from millitary capture. So like, being creative with the kind of hints, whats what I scored that as. But yeah I think concept/creativity are a bit intertwined... So hard to say..

-The concept is great because it does suggest bad ass. She is the warrior bad ass, I scored it down below perfect because I believe this was a bit too straight forward of an approach for bad ass.
Creativity shared some of the above mention. And I also had to score it down a bit because in some places the details become too overflowing. I feel that in a design there should always be areas of detail plus areas of blank. That way the more detailed areas become the viewers' focus and you can kind of control what area you want the viewers to pay attention to. But if the whole piece is overflowed with details everywhere, some viewers dont know where to begin looking. Just my pov tho.
Execution was good, you are good with shading no doubt about that. But I noticed that some areas lack detailed shading with no regards to the direction of the light source, and I noticed some areas were just a single colour. Might be that you were going for a multiple light source effect, but I cant really tell.

C.A., you suprised me this month. This piece is really awesome! The pose, the WEAPON! omg the weapon really did it for me. Smooth drawing skills, but maybe it could've been cleaner. A bit of a toss-up IMO between you and TT, but I choose you! (pikachu) lol

The reason why I don't think you deserved high marks for concept and creativity is because you chose a goddess that already existed. You did your own take on it and it's really awesome(did I mention REALLY awesome? XD), but you lose points for originality.

Sastu, your pic was really good this month; the execution was absolutely flawless. However, I'd have given you higher marks if you hadn't strayed from the topic of choice. This is an excellent piece, but where's the bad*ssness? She looks like she's ready to share her headphones with me..no real "grrr" about her, see wat I mean? Very good nonetheless.

Nice details and you know I like your style very much and I think it fits the theme very nicely. (Goes into the same criteria where your claymore pics are hehe). I give a 7 for execution because of the head I mentioned earlier and some minor things like the ring thingie that looks a bit ugh awkward. But anyways, nice job. Ah also it reminds me a bit more of American style comics this time :P

It's a very interesting piece of work there. Well thought through and a nice and complete execution. The Red dots are a bit too big imo and look kinda awkward but other than that, a nice job on those.

Really no big surprise. On the top of your game as always. I could go on and on about how you're amazing, but instead I'll point out just two reasons why I love this piece. Your attention to detail: For me this is very important. It's apparent in this piece that you didn't take any shortcuts and every edge, curve, or line was intended to appear as it does. Moving on, the wings. This can fall under your attention to detail, but I wanted to further elaborate on this part of your piece. Composition-wise, the wings are perfect. You didn't try to squeeze them in and instead let them be clipped while running off the page. I also love how the viewer can identify individual feathers. Simply brilliant.

Just at a glance someone can tell this is a great piece of work. I don't need to point out the obvious so I'll point out the more obscure details I love.

1. The detail is astounding. I think "detail" speaks for itself.

2. Shadows: Consistency is very important. You maintained the source of light throughout the art.

3. Finishing up, I loved the background. It's simple, but I love the drop shadow-esque effect you you gave instead of just having traced her. For clarification on my points please refer to the link I have provided. If you would like this link removed please notify me.

Could pass for professional artwork without a doubt. I absolutely love the contrast of black and white on the chess board versus the rest of the piece. I also like the variation of guns at different angles. While the detail isn't one of the strong points I'd rather say, the lack of detail is what makes this a wonderful piece. I'm not trying to say it's simple. It is definitely not simple. I just believe that what gives this image its effect is how clean it looks. Amazing work.

I apologize for my extremely long feedback, but if anything, I wish I could have written more. I just lack the time. Everyone posted wonderful work so it was quite difficult to pick 3 "favorites."

Love the pencil work and detail in the clothing. Also, her pose is very fluid. The blade by her feet is hard to read though, it's almost looks like she's stabbing her left ankle.

A very powerful image. I like the B&W approach, it has a slight 'noir' feeling to it. Some of the detail is a little hard to make out (ex. the bow strings against her hair).

A very dynamic piece. Her pose is really good and I like the 's' curve of her center-line. You have a slight tangent problem with her blue belt leading into her blue sword handle which affects the readability of the image.

I guess I must be a sucker for weapons ^^. Personally I've always loved most of your pencil sketches, and I don't believe you've colored many of your drawings too. The the theme of your image don't matches the them of the contest too much this time, It was still rather near and I still like it ^^
