Well I think the problem I have (and studios as well) is if it does not do 100m weekend its not a "blockbuster" perspective regardless if I like the movie or not. I digress, I really liked this Terminator movie more than Rise or Salvation that's for sure. T2 won't be matched anytime soon. And I will always credit James Cameron the perfectionist for that.

On the opposite end, the last transformers did over 100m was a "blockbuster" and it gave me a freaking headache watching it!

Holy crap, Genisys is indeed performing poorly. At this point it'd be a miracle if it could break 200 million.

Nonetheless, I still consider it to be superior than both T3 and Salvation.

Most definitely. I saw it yesterday (despite slight fever chills... not an easy night, afterwards) and I really liked it.

Then again I never have been bothered by time travel shenanigans, which for some people are an instant turn-off.

Jai Courtney and the dude who played John Connor were not great, but neither painfully bad. Khaleesi and Arnold were both good and great, respectively. The action was good. I think what killed the movie were that damnable trailer, which spoiled 90% of the movie. The dude who put that one together should be fired for incompetence and malfeasance.

Watched Genisys yesterday and quite enjoyed it. Much better than 3 and Salvation (not that THAT'S too difficult) and ol' Ahnold was pretty fun. Wish there was more.

Welp, Genisys broke the 200 million level.

We will see if it can exceed 300

Yeah, the ending was an interesting twist, that and Arnie did sign up for the first sequel, so lets hope it does well.

So I just watched Mad Max Fury Road. I have not seen the original trilogy, but I think I will now.

OTOH, I can see where Fist of the North Star got its settings from...

And some people in Japan were crying out that the original movie had ripped off FotNS... People...

Watching Mad Max fury road, I have to say, I really love that mobile metal band, despite how grotesque it was. Yeah, I want my very own flamethrower guitar!!

Terminator Genisys broke $300 million, so the possibility of a sequel is indeed significant.

Speaking of which, if there was a fault I had with Terminator Genisys regarding the actors/actresses, its the part where I wish they could have picked a more hardened actress for the job of playing Sarah Conner. Emilia Clarke was too feminine for the task. I am not sure if they purposely chose Emilia Clarke for that teenager look, but if it was up to me, I would have gone for people like Emily Blunt as she was in Edge of Tomorrow.

Sarah Conner had muscles, man.

Yeah, the difference was notable. Still, I like Khaleesi. However, I also really liked Emily Blunt in her space marine armor in Edge of Tomorrow (best movie of last year).

I have seen Deadpool, and I am very pleased. I do not particularly care for comic books or superheroes, but Deadpool I like, and the movie does not disappoint.

I miss the days when superheroes enjoy & like what they do, and Deadpool really likes his job. This is translated well into the movie, where it is basically angst free, and, with great powers come great fun! Its all you expect of Deadpool, jokes, 4th wall, and non stop violence. Moreover, I would dare say the choreography is probably the best I have seen in a comic book film, especially since this movie also averts CGI abuse. Fights are fluid and clearly focused, no more shaky cams and production-crews button-smashing slo-mo and zoom.

Yeah, I enjoyed it from beginning to the end (even more so than Star Wars), and its about time they put Colossus to use. Lastly, yes, we will get a sequel.

Wow, so 72 hours after its debut, Deadpool went on to acquire a box office of $260 million from a budget of just $58 million.

It was the best opening for a Fox movie ever. Chew on THAT!

I saw a bunch of dads bringing their pre-puberty children for Deadpool. That movie is so family unfriendly...

Yeah, excellent movie, really captured the spirit of the character.

Indeed, this is one of the few movies where I felt the character was at home. I was laughing from beginning until the middle of the credits. It was that good.

I'm hopping as some analyst put it, allows superhero movies to change a bit. I think this might push the Xmen series toward the riskier rated R and that nothing needs to be PG13 to succeed. I think R rated films allow for a little more creativity or risky presentation especially when they don't try to tailor it to everyone. If they see a successful franchise, they tend to push it more.

Its not even about the rating, although it did help. Rather, I think its the simplicity of Deadpool's goals and ambitions. There is no angst, no complicated moral lessons and no intertwined BS. Deadpool went after Ajax because the latter kidnapped his girlfriend after making him ugly. Thats it, no BS. The use of X-Men here as his support are well placed. They allow Deadpool to scoff at PG13 goodie-2-shoe superhero movies both literally and figuratively. This movie will change things
