I freakin' hate paying taxes and not really seeing a return from that "investment". That's why I mostly buy digital stuff nowadays. At least the taxes are minimal - mostly credit card fees.

And, about toys... I can't buy whatever I want (don't have either the money, the storage space or the patience - and two small children, to boot), but I still love 'em.

I have a lovely figure collection but I mostly buy small toys and action figures now. Books, o paper material, don't get taxed in, but they can still cost a lot due to weight and the weight.
I think my death blow came later during the day, my transaction history doesn't have the CDJapan one listed, so I have to wait for that, until I can get papers done. Ugh.
Anyway, I'll just be to happy to get it. And my friends in the US already got their orders, so this is something that doesn't affect everyone. That is very good.

I would love to purchase additional figurines, but I have encountered a small problem...

Tak: I have a few cabinets, but I don't really have place anymore, so I only buy small stuff now. That and lack of money due to my meds. Oh, and nice collection.

Update, I got my package and I didn't have to pay customs + tax. YAY. So pretty, the books are amazing, so is pretty much everything else. I'm still not a fan of the CGi characters, but that concert at the end is still very cool. I may end up storing the BD's out of the box since I'm gonna watch them a lot. If I had to spend so much money, I'm glad it was to get this set.

I'm still kinda sad I couldn't afford the series, mostly for the bonus content, but you can't always have it all. Cheers~

Well, 2067 is 8 years after Frontier, so, if we are very, very lucky, we'll meet a mature Sheryl and Alto. Oh, and Ranka. Probably not, though, given prior history of the series.

I still hope for a female idol and Zentran female pilot vying for the affections of a Zolan male Macross type starship captain.

To me Frontier was not all that enjoyable. Count me old school when it came to Macross, but for the most part I did not find many of the characters likable. I am sure it has been rehashed in the Macross threads, but I am looking forward to something more intricate or unique in the character base, not the over dramatics I saw in Frontier from all the characters.

Give me something like a good space opera war story in the vein of the original or DYRL. I was actually hoping for a recreation of the original Macross story line, something along the lines on how they did Yamato 2199. I wish Ishiguro was still around to direct the current series.

I might be reading into the "Delta" a bit much, but the original Macross SDF-1 was also calsigned Delta 1. Maybe I might get my Macross Class ship out of this...
