On Sheryl's side, I have seen doujinshi that make Sheryl look like a slut. And druggies comes in play occasionally, but majority is Sheryl raping Alto. Came across that too much and nauseated.

Though Al xRan is an excellent Aruran doujinshi with plausible plot and it is awesome in general, with both parties willing.

Alto/Sheryl doujins are so abundant, it gives vivitoru a headache collecting all of them.

Here's a typical doujin convo we have:

Him: I just bought a lot of of doujins from C77..

Me: Preorders have begun for C78 doujins.

Him: ...FFFFFFFFU!!!

It's just a shame not much are scanlated online. Maybe someday when I can learn Japanese (after French), I'll give it a go...or if someone were willing to cooperate with me.

Also, did you know AS doujinkas have an anthology almost twice a year? Breran fans have one too...while there aren't that much active Aruran doujinkas these days, the few ones floating around and the one that Ozuma is talking about are old.

And Ozuma, hentai ones are always and usually the doujins being scanlated, especially the ones with trashy plots, like Ranka selling her body in exchange for fame, Frontier orgies and whatnot. Alto/Sheryl have a lot of doujins, both sexual in nature and/or just for romantic squees. They have a lot of circles. About 134 or so last time I checked. And a lot of them are still very active (recently some new circles popped out as well) , which makes vivitoru's wallet want to just give up and die.

Nap Cat easily is one of the best AS doujinkas and the one whose works are almost always sold out. The bidding wars on online auctions are a nightmare...

I agree with magnus about the mods. I got banned once just for calling a post pathetic, for the simple use of the word. Given that it was in the wrong thread altogether, I was in the right. However, relentlessflame felt that was too harsh. How much lighter can you be?

raile, I never left and I still defend my character when I see people bashing her. Also, if you want people to move on and know they are on the forums, possibly reading it, then why do you even bring up their names. OD may not be here anymore but I certainly am, as are certain others who occasionally glance at the boards.

On the topic of doujins, 90% of them make out the girls to be sluts. No pun intended or offense. But Sheryl-centre ones are the most known for doing this, even on the pairing ones with Alto. Ranka is often not featured in many except for fan service. However, there are a few, and I mean few lovely doujins featuring the girls be lovey-dovey with Alto. But they are hard to find because people have a higher demand for the slutty ones. Don't ask me why. I prefer the latter.

It depends on what you would consider porn and what is simply fan service.
Fan service = nudity
Porn = sexual activity
There is definitely more porn but there is still quite a bit of fan service.

Personally, I don't mind either.
I know of a lot of people who dislike porn (or hentai), or prefer M-rated fanfics instead, and others that like both or portions. It depends on what you can stomach.
Ironically, I have yet to meet any fans that don't just talk about likely hentai and have actually read through a doujin with pleasure. Because it is easy to say one would love to see the character naked but to actually read it is another story.

Back on topic, yes; a short discussion about that, Beto. I decided to add my two cents being as I've read my fair share of doujin over the years. Access to the Internet changes you, some for the better and others for the worse. Out of my years on the Internet, I've read a total of 360 doujins all together, whether hentai or general. Let me tell you that nothing is every like the original artwork. But the ALXRAN doujin comes oh so close.

Oh, I'd love to read those doujin, but the language barrier is a definite problem. Just seeing the pretty pictures mostly results in me thinking "But I want know what is going oooooon! <whine>". So I refrain from even trying to aquire some of those works.

Once you learn the simple phrases said in the typical porn/hentai videos, learning what they are saying isn't hard if you rip out the first page of your Japanese dictionary which has the basic katana for the words. You can also learn how their names are spelled by looking up the information on Wiki. Hope that helps you a little.

I was thinking about the slice-of-life and romance stuff. I generally don't have problems with multiple different continuities ( read a lot of fan-fic in the past of other media ), so having a few "extra" episodes in the series would be wonderful. But, there's the language barrier.
