It appears my SCAR 17 seems to be the most well liked around family, friends and coworkers. That and almost seeing two of ones coworkers almost knock themselves out with the DE50.

Little story, I got one guy at our range who owns nothing but S&W 500 and 460 mag revolvers. The man is a series collector. I believe has has one of every one ever made, and all the specials editions and colors. We are talking over 5 figures in revolvers. And the scary part is, he shoots enough to break them. I mean he will like load up to 200 rounds in 500 S&W and shoot them in a range sessions. And he is out almost every weekend. Good lord that is dedication or a machocist, have not figured out yet. But I know I am a mao, because I don't have issues shooting next to the guy, when I know I need double ears around that.

Yeah, I did say it is the only wheel gun I own, and it still is. The Bull can fire either .45 Long Colts or .454 Casull. The .45 Long Colt is for sport, the .454 Casull is to smash through armor, and stuff...

As for my Desert eagles, I sold both. Seriously, they are utterly impractical, and I only need one impractical gun. Also, you can't find this Taurus anywhere, anymore.

Regarding the guy you mentioned though, yeah, I am the same way with WWII infantry rifles. Pretty much the only vintage rifles I do not have belong to the French and Italians. But why would I even want their rifles in my collection?

M60E4 to be exact. 25lbs, with a ROF of somewhere around 600rpm.

The famous Scottsdale Gun Club in Arizona. Man this place is dangerous. For the wallet. The range is modern, clean, well lit. The customer service is top notch. The pro shop contains every possible firearm type, manufacture, and associated accessories for them. Full selection of quality bulk ammo, defensive ammo, from Sig, Federal, Aquila, Winchester etc.

Full transfers for SBR, Full Auto (For LEO or those that can afford pre86) and a large suppressor selection. Everything CA hates. Yea, if I lived out here, I would so be a member. Besides, out here with avg temp of 115 in the day, indoor ranges would be the only way to go

The range rentals look well maintained. From Thompsons, to MP5s, Scoprions Evo, to M4s, G36s, AKs etc. I did want to do the G36, but my wallet could only do so much. I have fired real M4s, Thompsons and MP5s but never a belt fed. So it was split between an M240B or the M60E4. My friends said go RAMBO. So I went with the M60.

So how much did ya burn? And how many rounds?

Ok the break down. Yes it was expensive for what it was.
1. Lane Rental $15 per hr
2. Gun Rental $125 for the belt feds (M240B, M60E4, M249 etc)
3. Ammo is $45 per belt of 40 rounds x4 = $180 for 160 rounds
Total: $320

Side expenses
Brought my VP9SK with me to shoot rapid fire, so I was lazy and bought range ammo instead of stopping by Wallmart. 3 boxes of 50 for $13 = $39. Hey I got the lane for an hr so might as well use it.

Bought some accessories for my VP9SK that I normally can't get in our state unless I special order it. = $104

Total damage that day = $463

Oh and of course the image tax for the day from my activities yesterday.

MONDAY RANGE DAY!!

Took out my M1 Carbine for a spin, dammit it rocks!

The M1 Cabine. Still need to get myself one. Looks like a good trunk rifle set up. Although a modern scope on that particular gun feels off. But what do I know.
My friend who is a passionate collector of antique firearms and has some incredible pieces like M1Ds and boxed Enfield Sniper Rifles loves putting scout scopes on all his Mosins.

Only reason why I had a scope is because that particular M1 is an Auto-Ordnance remake, which performed rather well. I would not modify my originals collection otherwise.

Ah, good to hear that the AO version works well. I hear mixed reviews on them.

On a side note, my range has been closed 2 weeks now going on 3. Apparently no one knows what the heck is going on or the time line for it to open up. The original plan was 2 weeks for lead clean up, then backstop repair. Now apparently they are adding berm reinforcement. The website has now been updated to reflect a time of August 4th to reopen but we are not even sure about that. Oh that's going to be hard to not go shooting rifles for a month...

Yeah, so another thing to watch out for, AO 30 carbine mags do suck. You are much better off with aftermarket. I have pro-mags, and they work out wonderfully.
