Hmm ... well, there are a few chs of a manga adaptation out of it (3, I think?) and it is hard to guess just from those.
Hmm - It is set in contemporary times, but unexpectedly magic bursts into the story ... in any event it is kinda hard to guess now, but you could always check out the thread about it:

Chuuni S2 was a more light hearted version of S1, but before it began to air they had already warned everyone that that was what it was going to be. It has some nice moments, and some funny ones as well, and there is nice animation as usual for KyoAni, but S1 was better imo.
