And his face grows mildly more serious "They protect ya from the gun fire. And now theys gots mobile gatlins! Mechanized infantry, Arlin'ton!" Grimgears manic smile reappears. "AND they only explode HALF the time now! ADVANCEMENTS!"

"If I were you, Captain, I would not want to pilot one of those. Seems... dangerous, yes?" Shulkov suggests to Arlington as he takes another swig of "water" from his canteen. "However..." he begins to ponder, "Could have great advantage if worked, correct?" Thoughts of sabotage dances through Janus' mind, and he couldn't help but grin at his own ideas. Will be more than half that explode with a little "motivation" from Mila and Katya towards unsuspecting maintenance officer, I think.

"Pah! Stunty rubbish is what that is!" Boomclaw waves a paw dissmissevly.
"Why bother going under fire in a tin can with legs? With my plan, no one has to be put under fire." He reaches into a pocket on the front of his vest and pulls out a neatly folded but dirty piece of paper. The murinite unfolds it and hands it Arlington.
"I've been busy tunneling under the enemies very feet. The ground there is very unstable, and with several simultaneous detonations in the marked locations, their entire encampment will be buried. He bares his yellowed fangs in wicked glee. "And when the ants are scurrying around their ruined anthill, we can bring in the magnifying glass."

"You know this all sounds interesting, but I think we should send a small elite team to infiltrate the enemy lines using the tunnels and then systematically wiping out defense positions and assassinating officers." Seth turns to Boomclaw, "You're tunnels can be used to do more than just blow up some useless trench that could be rebuilt just as easily."

A young man brandishing a long rifles walks toward the group. "Y'all got to stop with this, if ya don' one o' you is gonna betray." He looks at Arlington "Arlington where do I gets my ammo refills?" He looks at Boomclaw. "Your idea is good friend, but you know ya' didn't have to do all that alone."

Captain Arlington looks at his various accomplices and begins to address each of the plans in turn. "Grimgear, what kind of armor we talkin'? The Alliances has TOWs, fifty cals, twenty five mike-mike chain guns, everything. I doubt the walkers have more armor than a Patton MBT, " he continues, waving his hand toward the no-man's-land in which numerous armored vehicles lay burning. "However, Boomclaw and Seth, you guys have an interesting idea. I think we ought to combine 'em, detonate charges to clear the enemy line, then wipe out their reinforcements from pre-positioned tunnel entrances and spider holes. Gentlemen, can we do it?"

Damn! I must find way to sabotage this, quickly. Shulkov instantly volunteered himself to help, hoping to minimize suspicion. "I have extensive layouts of Alliance trench system. These trenches in particular used to be ours, so we have every strength and weakness, yes? You see where I am going with this?"

Nikoya Arlington looks at Shulkov questioningly. "I don't remember us holding those lines. Was this before I got out here?"

Why was he so quick to reveal this, and why wouldn't Arlington know, he seems to be on top of things here? "I don't think that those lines would be necessary for this operation, and where would you get these layouts anyway, is the Alliance getting sloppy?"

"Shulkov, I've been watchin' this 'ere war for longer than you been here the Alliance has always carried those lines."
