i think light gets too much, yeah, hes the main character, i know, but... he gets kinda boring after a long time, to me anyway,

Naomi (Ray Penber's fiancee) was only in a few episodes. I kept thinking she would have a larger role than she did.....I thought they might explore the afterlife outside of shinigami's and have her influence the story more.

Other than the kidnapping, Sayu wasn't connected to the story very much. I'd love to see her more incorporated into the plot.
