Yeaaaah, not the best written dialogue.
Anyway, I have a great fondness for the original Mortal Kombat movie, with all its goofiness. But Christopher Lambert was great as Raiden and I really, really love the performance of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Shang Tsung. Good times.
Otherwise, nothing really of note happening in terms of movies or TV. I'm watching
Sharpe's Rifles on Amazon Prime. Regretfully they only have the German dub, which is good quality (as with most German dubbing), but I miss Sean Beans growly natural voice. Also watching
Gotham on Netflix, which has a nice metaplot and interesting characters. Also five full seasons off 22 episodes and I'm still in season one after two weeks.
And, of course,
Wandavision, which is good stuff. I like the characters well enough, but none of them are my favorites, so the highpoints are the general story, watching Paul Bethany act (whom I really like as an actor) and, hopefully, see the introduction of mutants into the MCU happen. Also, the lady who plays Monica Rambeau (i.e. Photon or, for some time in the comics, Captain Marvel) is doing a good job.
