I think Lelouch would never do this. At that moment he was probably thinking "i'm the one who made this. i'm a horrible person and her life would be a lot better without me". Even in R2, when he regained his memories he was feeling guilty for her and didn't want to put her in his business.

He was feeling too guilty to return to their old relationship. If her memories of him wasn't erased, he would probably push her back to not put her in further trouble, which would only make her unhappier. Either way, Shirley was going to suffer, so he made the best decision.

I did gave my thoughts about. I don't think it would work well if he didn't erased. But i think that MAYBE, if he didn't erased that he was Zero, it could work. At first, Shirley would be "omg! lelouch killed my dad!" but we know that she would forgive him some time, and then, understanding why he's pushing her away.

But it was too soon in the series for Lelouch to trust anyone about this.

Yeah well, we all know Lelouch erased all her memories of him because he felt guilty and thought her association with him would only bring her more pain, though it was all for naught. But if he just erased her memories as far as Mao and Zero...well, I actually I don't see how that could be too detrimental to Lelouch. Shirley would get over her father's death and she could continue to live at Ashford and have her "relationship" with Lelouch. Of course, at this point (before the oogy mess of her father's death) she was very keen on the idea of becoming Lelouch's gf, so that could definitely play a role in the story and become an issue for Lelouch.

I'm thinking about Lelouch point of view. It was because he was Zero that Shirley got into all this, so, he probably thought that her life would be better without knowing him. I mean, what if another Mao appears picking on Lelouch's dear ones? At the moment, Lelouch's head was in a mess because of Shirley and he sticked with the "you put away the ones you love the most".

I don't think Lelouch had any problem with her becoming his girlfriend(well, maybe when Zero became a simbol it would be a problem, hehe), i think that he got a problem on the fact that he did put her in a lot of trouble(after all, Mao didn't have any business with Shirley, only with Lelouch) and if she stayed by his side, she would have to endure even more pain and he didn't want this to happen.

So, i watched the last pd, honestly, i don't think it was unfair for Shirley. The first translation seemed like they just say her name and leave it like that, but after seeing, there's a lot of feeling in Milly's words. I think it was very nice.

Also, in the end, the picture with everyone together was part of the last pd, so Shirley ended up hanging with Lelouch, hehe.

Eh, still kinda sucks that Shirley had to share that sentiment with Rolo (I don't care if they knew about it or not). But hey, a mention is better than no mention at all.

Good question. Is Shirley even in Nightmare of Nunnally? We should probably ask that on the manga thread.

As far as I can remember, Shirley appears once or twice early on, where she's more or less a bit upset about Lelouch's disappearance.

Well, the romance thread is gone...again. XD I hadnt been paying as much attention to it lately though, been busy, so....what happened? I just kinda skimmed the last few posts, and then the one that announced it was closed, but I didnt see anything out of the ordinary.

^i didn't even bother to read the last few posts, but i'm just going assume that mods feel it's pointless to continue arguing something when the show is over for awhile, and also probably the same arguments/discussion happens every week that nothing can be contributed is in that thread, making it no different from spams in a certain view.

Basically, people other than Nobodyman began with heavy KaLulu shipping again, which is against the rules. So Manju closed it. And came damn close to closing the Generic thread, too. And naturally, people took their shipping to the Kallen thread. Its rather typical. I really only go to the CG forum for the image thread. =/

Hum... I wasn't there when the thread was closed(not that i'm trying to get my ass out of this, since i did some troll on the romance thread), but i honestly didn't understand the decision, since it wasn't that big of a deal, it was just common stuff. Not that i think it's good, but like Ginran said, it was nothing outside of the ordinary. Well, it's not like any side is right on this one...

On the generic thread, i've got some deleted posts there, i was complaining about the lock(just like everyone that got their posts deleted), so i know that i was doing the wrong thing. Now i don't believe the romance thread will be opened again, well, there's nothing i can do about that. Maybe it's for the good, but i will miss it.

Don't worry Kid Ying, I'm pretty sure they'll reopen it. This isn't the first time they've (and I have a feeling it won't be the last ) Look, no offense to you or the Kalulu fans, but I think you guys really need to learn to control yourselves sometimes. I mean, you have to admit that sometimes they can go off the handle and that can get really irritating. In fact, sometimes I think it sounds downright obnoxious.

And I must do the same. I'll admit, even I can get uppity at times, but I'm really don't want to be that way. Well, unfortunately the staff hasn't been doing anything in favor of any other ship except Kalulu (well how can they when Shirley's dead and C.C.'s been disproven) so I guess it's just a natural reaction. I think people just need to realize that there ship isn't the begin all, end all ship and that there are others who would like to visit the romance thread and they don't want to be treated to a bunch of raving Kalulus.

Hopefully, when the RT opens back, my "little surprise" will put an end to it.

Well, it doesnt really matter either way as long as we have our clubs. Besides, like Nobody said, there'll probably be a new Romance Thread sometime in the future, they've done this before. XD I wouldnt worry about it too much Kid. Dont be sad, you still have this club and the Kalulu club!

Also, Nobody, a surprise....? sounds good to me, even if I have no idea what you mean...XD

Well, it's still nice to be able to have a Romance Thread and to be able to openly talk and discuss in it in a coherent manner. But whatever, I guess the groups will be our little "haven" in the mean time.

At first i was thinking "nah.. soon they will reopen" but after the generic discussion case, i think we really piss them off. Not that i think that the rt will never come back, but i don't think it's gonna be soon, hehe.

I think that when a large group gather to discuss about something it's normal to see people being too agitate and starting to say dumb stuff. Like Dr. Manhattan said "it's only natural. unnatural is the size of my penis'.

But i know that sometimes people go too far on that, and that happened some times at the RT, i can't deny. I don't think there's a innocent side on this, but i know that sometimes we are too agressive against our "rivals" and this can only lead us to other people mad at the kalulus or another locks in threads we post.

Well, i think none of us are kids anymore and we know what we do, so i hope everyone chill out for a while, so the next turn of the RT will be at least more enjoyable for everyone. Besides, i was getting tired of posting the "we are the world" every time i see a fight between someone.

Yea, I hope this time away from the RT lets people cool down so we can make it more enjoyable next time around. It'd be nice to see everyone at least get along, even if we dont all have the same opinions.
