Eh, I'm sure the movie will come out next year, anyway, so we don't exactly know how the situation then will be. As I said before, the local solution here seems to be to run the movie in as many halls as possible as the only blockbuster for the month. I can tell you, just by looking at how many of the seats were taken in the showing of Tenet I was in (using a two-by-two checkerboard system to maintain social distance), people are anxious to get back to watching some well made movies.

So far it looks half impressive, half "meh". I kinda missed the obvious blue eyes on the Fremen.

Westworld is very good, masterful but also brutal. Just imagine Alicization - War of the Underworld except in real hosts as opposed to digitized 'souls', and then imagine the worst possibilities.

Though you can't go wrong with Anthony Hopkins & Ed Harris in the mix.

If the first half, then I can easily guess where they will end the movie. That is too bad.

I guess I'll put Westworld on the list of things "I might see if I get unemployed and have lots of time again".

So...I just finished watching Mulan 2020 coz I was bored, and........*sigh*


Yes, I was so bored when watching Disney's Mulan (on my laptop) that I decided to watch the Black Myth Wu Kong videos on my phone and posted them in this social group mid-movie .

Dude, she made every complaint that I already made when the trailer came out and later provided additions after I watched the movie. So you know anyone with an ounce of knowledge in this era would find this movie to be laughable, if not downright offensive.

The movie was problematic in so many ways it's not even funny.

So... that doesn't look horrible. So much for Phase 3 only being able to go downward. Although I may be much too soon with that prediction, of course.

With all the good stuff coming on TV, maybe we need to change the thread title to "Movies and TV shows"?

Wanda Vision... huh. Not sure about the nostalgic stunt they are pulling. We'll have to see.

Also Mulan gets very cold reception by Chinese audiences. As it turned out, the original cartoon was not well received either. Many Chinese audiences' responses had one thing in common: Our phoenix don't raise from the dead, it's already immortal.

Actually thought that Statham was the most impressive, since he visibly unscrewed the bottle cap. Donnie Yen was of course great, too. ^^
