Finally, what looks like a worthy edition to the Predator franchise.

I'm ashamed to say that I did not understand much of what the blonde dude who was being interrogated was saying, nor the two guys in the control booth overhearing the conversation. "Mumble mumble assassins, mumble grar".

I’m not ashamed to say that this trailer didn’t do anything for me.

I'm a huge Predator fan yet I also don't feel anything watching that trailer. I think it's super mediocre. It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of Shane Black's works outside of Lethal Weapon movies and the "From the director of Iron Man 3"-line in the trailer only brings bad memories to me.

Heck, as far as trailer goes, the one for Predators (2010) is better for me:

It's a lot more intense, and there's no freakin' kid in it who makes the whole thing looks tamer. Like, I really doubt the new Predator movie will have the balls to do anything nasty to the kid. At this point, it will be an achievement if the movie can be better than Predator 2 (which is a worthy sequel). The first Predator is just untouchable at this point.

I love Predator 2. And Predators. I'm not even a little bit ashamed to say that.

But but... this is finally about a group of actual soldiers trying to hunt down the Predator while the latter kick names ass and take ass names!?

Because they... don't. Part of their ethos is no children, no pregnant women and no invalids...

Classics never die!

Also, ya'll should be watching Cobra Kai, it's dat gud.

OTOH, I just found out Blade Runner & Aliens are in the same verse...

Problem is, it's on Youtube Red, and I am not getting another suscription service if I can avoid it. ^^

Not to mention that I am not down with Youtube's policies in general over the last few years, so I'm not about to throw money at them.

And that's what makes it sucks. From the looks of the trailer, the kid will be one of the protags coz the adults are trying to protect him. If we got a decent Predator in this movie, that means he's not gonna harm the kid which would totally decrease the suspense (the first movie works because every protag is targeted for hunting, killing and skinning). If we got a psychotic Predator, he'll go for the kid but even then I'll still doubt the movie will allow anything grisly to happen to the kid.

Apparently the early screenings of Deadpool 2 incited positive reactions. This should be a good sign.

So did Solo, so let's see what comes of that. ^^

I didn't have any faith in Solo. Now I'm reading people I actually trust (and had the same reservations) saying very positive things about it, and I'm actually cautiously optimistic.

Oh, hey, so they are doing a Star Trek 4, just read news that they now have a female director.

I thought after the third one kinda bombed that the movies series was over for the foreseeable future. Good to see I was wrong.

Dude, they are doing that AND the Quentin Tarantino one.

Still can't wrap my head around that concept. I wonder how many "fuck"'s, foot fetish and self-inserts he can get away with, especially after he got caught up in "Me Too".
