Jets have a fairly convincing win just now. Was honestly legit worried for Maye when he came on late in the 4th. Felt so apt for the way that game was for him to have a decent drive then fall just short of getting his first TD. He would have been the first of the rookies to throw one. So far, Daniels running one in is it. Consistent theme - the active ones have garbage O-lines. Sucks that McCarthy can't play because of that injury. But the Darnold redemption arc is an intriguing one.

Well...what a wacky week 2...

49ers lose the plot against the Vikings and Fred Warner almost single-handedly prevents it from being a blowout.
Ravens collapse late against the Raiders.
Saints utterly punk the Cowboys like it's still the divisional round.
Cardinals pulverise the Rams (I really enjoyed this one. MHJ, Kyler, Conner, the defense. This is what they can be.)
Bucs contain the Lions.
And then...somehow the Falcons pinch it from the Eagles at the very end. This is why I felt a wildcard was the best outlook. Just feels like too many key pieces from the defense are gone and that it won't be fixed immediately.

Welp...Tua may seriously need to consider retiring after what happened against the Bills...these concussions are piling up way too much...

Rams-Lions was definitely the highlight of the main gameday. Two teams one would expect to be playoff bound. Impressed with the power running in overtime by the Lions. They were determined to never give the Rams the ball back and made it so.

Texans-Colts was another good one. Richardson didn't look out of his depth and made several eye-popping throws. Stroud did what was necessary.

Cardinals-Bills was the unexpected other good one. Cardinals got a big lead early then vanished as the Bills finally woke up. Hope the Cardinals can build on that, they look like they could be a fun team this season.

Cowboys pay Dak big as the doomsday clock is about to tick over to midnight and they embarrass the Browns big time. No sympathy for Watson or for Haslem giving him that stupid contract. Karma's a bitch, as they say.

Broncos-Seahawks and Steelers-Falcons were ugly games. Panthers were...a joke. And what the hell happened to the Bengals letting the Patriots humiliate them.

Bears...have a nice defence? Williams definitely didn't have a good outing but he gets to be one of only four players to be a QB drafted at #1 and win in Week 1 in NFL history. Hopefully things get better in coming weeks and certain receivers stop botching the ball. Daniels looked like he can make it in this league, but the Commanders are devoid of enough talent. If he can have a Year 1 more like Stroud and less like Young, he should be fine.

49ers-Jets left to end the first week. Maybe Rodgers makes it through the game this time. But if he doesn't, I don't think I have much sympathy compared to last year.

'Predictions' for playoff teams:

AFC division winners: Chiefs, Ravens, Texans, Bills.
AFC wildcards: Dolphins, Bengals, Colts.

NFC division winners: 49ers, Lions, Buccaneers, Cowboys. (To heck with the Falcons, not buying into that again.)
NFC wildcards: Eagles, Rams, Packers. (Hope I'm wrong and that you win the division, but some of the retirements/departures feel like they'll take a while to fill. Also, seeing the Cowboys lose the divisional round at home never gets old.)

The opening games sure made the wait worthwhile. Ravens fall to the Chiefs because a mere toe went across the back of the end zone - Perna already feels cringe for the Curse Wheel cursing the Ravens this round. At least your Eagles held on against the Packers in Brazil. The turnovers were concerning but, the fact they overcame them says a lot. Also, Barkley balled out so hard. How the heck did the Giants not utilise this guy properly...Oh wait, not a Parcells era team, not a miracle run Coughlin team.

Welp, just days to the NFL season now. And the Ricky Pearsall shooting feels like a sign of the times. Dressing up is a magnet for trouble now.

Harley Quinn S1 and S2 are amongst the best things in Western animation ever.
