Gave the things on my list a try, cut almost all of them. A Sign of Affection, Bartender S2, Jellyfish, the two romcoms from this season, Roze of the Recapture - just nothing. Also not certain why they're redoing Spice and Wolf from the beginning aside from the large amount of merch being pumped out of late.

Bye Bye Earth has been a keeper for me, I'll give Kimi ni Todoke S3 a look once it starts and when the mood is right, I'll try marathoning The Apothecary Diaries. Kanon's suggestion of Dark Gathering seems to have struck the right chord for me so also going to look into that more.

Managed to clear Extreme mode of Anima Swarm this weekend on all 9 characters so that one is done and dusted. Given it's a cold week and I have played Anima Swarm a lot of late, think I'll get a catchup of anime going.

Have had to pivot a bit for a couple of things. Suddenly just about every Superbowl is on Youtube. I'd be crazy to not watching them so I'm watching a few a week to bridge the gap to September. On the game side, League of Legends released a 1 month PvE mode called Anima Swarm, in the style of Vampire Survivors and 20 Minutes Till Dawn. Have been on that since its launch 5 days ago and unlocked Extreme mode (aka difficulty 3, the highest). Hoping to grind out the scaling power unlocked by reaching Extreme mode by the weekend then clear out Extreme mode with a friend after he gets back from doing engineering work for country towns.

Winter has sucked. A couple of weeks ago, Adelaide had its coldest temperature since 1908. It's been a bit better of late but between costs of living and the weather, I'm pretty much staying home until spring aside from a beachwalk on a weekend where the weather shows just a bit of not being miserable.

Welp. I cut my wishlist from 83 to 19 and bought 4 games on Steam. This Bed We Made, Children of the Sun, Paper Trail, Death Trick: Double Blind. $76 for them. 10 released games I wait on to hit an acceptable price and 5 I wait on to be released. Definitely a tame sale for me but I have an absurd amount of expenses coming the next 4 months and...the quality of games hasn't been good of late. I went all in instantly on Balatro and Starstuck Vagabond because they were damn good. But between all the way too simplistic cozy games, all the grindy RPG ones, the bleh sandbox ones, the ick triple A ones...so little to be excited about.

Leafs got hold of Chris Tanev and re-signed Domi in the first flurry of free agency. Bertuzzi not being re-signed I figured was inevitable but the Blackhawks is an interesting choice.

July has started and it's damn cold. After powering through a fair stint of Starstruck Vagabond the last few nights...I think I'm beginning to crave anime with blankets in tow. Will forage into April material but I've been warned by many that season underwhelmed after its promising start.

Have researched the Steam sale a bit and have 4 games in my cart thus far but not going crazy this sale, I have mega bills coming up for the next 4 months on top of my merch supplier finally securing a new rental place and about to re-engage manga orders.

Local anime convention had its best attendance in the last 9 years (which funnily enough was the one year I was elect, things took a real hit after that due to complacency by subsequent elect) by finally doing concerts and other live performances. It may have morphed into something I'm not keen on anymore but to see it back to a good state is enough for me.
