Eh? There's a big difference between accounting/finance, finance and "high finance" -- it's very similar to NY in that regard. I don't think people are treated poorly by any means.. it all ties into expectations though. The pay ceiling is
a lot lower here in Toronto vis-a-vis New York, but surprisingly taxes will likely be similar due to high municipal taxes in New York. I know my friend was working "middle office" finance/accounting/OPs and was making >$100K a year. I make .. materially more than that ..

insane. I expect a correction but with the recent BOC announcement on no rapid rate hikes, I'm not so sure, but rents and cap rates are still
way below New York if that's your comparable. I think I posted a picture of my condo in the old [now closed/locked] social thread, brand new condo, pool, courtyard, etc. $1600 a month -- rents have moved up, closer to $1800 now -- for ~720 sq. ft? Probably would sell for $450-480k?
