I'm not sure. A lot of light novel series actually was only meant to be a one-volume story that got popular enough and got a green-light for continuation. That's why most of a novel's first volume(especially the author's first breakaway title) ending always ambiguous enough to make it looks as if a continuation is possible, but also satisfying enough should the series ends there. InteliVilla is also one such title. The ending is definitely satisfying enough for a one-volume title, yet it also wouldn't be strange if there's a continuation volume in the future somehow.

tl;dr I don't know :P I guess it depends on whether Kamachi got the time to commit to another series in a timely schedule.

I know what you mean, but hey, there were good films that managed it. [Chronicles] didn't necessary have to do it but it was still a brilliant film, and I'm kinda seeing this one in the same way.

Oh yes, speaking of hard men, remember the Judge Dredd film Stallone did back in the day? Getting a reboot this month. Might want to catch that, unless they want to do the Gyllenhaal film.
