Precisely, and right now both C.C. and Kallen have certain roles and developments which have taken us to this point...we just don't know exactly how will it end. Another interpretation for that line could be that Lelouch is going to sacrifice himself and Kallen doesn't want to hear about his feelings, since she may never see him again. I'm still not certain that Lelouch will openly say "I love you" to anyone (other than Nunnally), but he may still hug, kiss or express his feelings using other words and actions. I don't think lust is a factor in either relationship, since Lelouch has been portrayed as quite...restrained and/or aloof. Except for that time when he was absolutely depressed and...tried to go for Kallen.
His usual feelings seem more like general caring than a profound love, yes, but that goes for both of them...even for Shirley, one could argue. Kallen shows a lot more emotion on her part, but Lelouch is the one that's hard to judge here...in the end, we may get a couple of ambiguous but still romantic scenes for both pairings, if the staff wants to provide some sort of balance. A tricky thing, that is, but still...we'll see.
I'd really doubt that, to be honest. In fact, some joking forum speculations aside...I think the only baby we will see is Ougi's and Villetta's.
I'm not so much into classifying one kind of love as "pure" and another one as "impure"...and even then, Shirley's case was closer to that ideal than either Kallen's or C.C.'s.
At the very least, I don't expect C.C. to return and die in the same scene.
No problem. You know, I was talking to Ring about that, and he points out that the two tracks are actually different, but I agree with you in the sense they fulfilled similar or at least compatible roles in the show...and that seems to be somewhat melancholic? Not the best word to describe it, but anyways...will we hear them again? Maybe, maybe not.
I suppose.
Good to know that, I've tried to do the same here. I'm not expecting C.C. to return to Damocles too soon, unless someone picks up her escape pod and she flies all the way back.
It would be a potentially tragic twist if Guren and Lancelot Albion don't have escape pods, but there's no reason they wouldn't. The original Lancelot lacked one, but Albion was built from the ground up.
No idea, but I guess Sayoko, Lloyd and Cecile may subtly influence the situation to prevent things from getting out of hand, now that they are on friendly terms with Kaguya and Tianzi, among others.
It's not the worst outcome even if it's bad for C.C. x Lelouch, but that kind of ending seems a little too depressing for C.C. though...it's probably impossible to resolve this without hurting any of those involved, but I'd hope the actual ending is a little more hopeful.
Sad for Lelouch and happy for the world, that's what it could be.
Still, it could have been handled better.
Oh c'mon...you're speaking too soon about that, even if there's a chance you may be right.
We only know a little about what Ami thinks, not so much about what the rest of the staff and VAs would like. Yes, that's the only option, but Spice and Wolf is the kind of show that could have literally gone on forever, without having the two of them admit their feelings in some grand romantic way...in fact, the novels it is based on may still be far from over, for all I know.
Well, Bartley seemed to be fat...but he sure didn't sing.
If you think it through, yes...but it's not uncommon in all forms of fiction, now that I recall, to pair up an immortal with a mortal and leave the rest of their lives up to interpretation and imagination, so no actual death is ever seen. Fantasy does this a lot, in fact.
