    Yeah, it was pretty good (series is pretty good). Battle scenes aren't the problem in CGI - it's the stuff in-between.

    I agree Anno is being hypocritical about moving on. But I also think the original Eva was in fact a masterpiece, and I did pretty much feel straight-up sympathy for Shinji. I also think the ending was better than any of the ones he tacked on later (I actually like Sadamoto’s ending second-best).

    NGE will never go away. I’m at peace with that. It’s timelessly massive in otaku circles and the general public alike.

    I didn't even know there was a sequel novel to Tatami Galaxy. I love all of the author's works, so I'm definitely looking forward to it!

    I've only read the manga for Emma, and it was really, really good. If the anime has two seasons I guess it probably covered everything.
