Well... I can safely say I'm angry at Sunrise at this point. I actually cried when the scene happened, and that's the first time an anime has been able to do such a thing to me.

I don't understand why everyone is so convinced Shirley's going to die. I really don't. Its actually starting fights in the Spoilers/Speculations thread, and that's just pathetic. What proof does anyone have that she'll die?

Yeah, most of the "Shirley will die" stuff is in the spoiler thread and the discussion thread. Annoying as hell, but plenty of people are trying to defend her at this point. All I can say is people should wait and see what'll happen, and I don't just mean next episode--I mean 6 to 7 episodes down the line. Its far too early to judge what'll happen now.

I just watched the episode now that its out. The moment between Lelouch and Shirley was heartwarming, to say the least. But man, everyone's gone crazy with this being a Shirley-centric episode. Everyone saying she's bound to die is really getting on my nerves; this the replacement for the whole "Kallen's getting mindwiped" theory. Its annoying as hell. If you ask me, R2's a lot tamer than R1 so I really doubt Shirley's gonna bite it.

Plus I'd never forgive Sunrise if she did. >_>

Oh, I wouldn't call it bravery, more like "lack of intelligence". I guess all of the "Shirley needs to die" talk irked me, but I'm glad I didn't start an argument about it. I just don't see what people have against her.

It always surprises me how people are so fanatic about anime and the like, and have such crazy fantasies about it. AND how they'll tear out the throats of those who think otherwise.

So I haven't seen the new episode yet, but I read the spoilers anyway (I don't mind them, it won't compare to actually seeing it, in my case). But lord, I did not know there were that many Shirley haters out there, judging from the discussion thread...

Yeah, fanfiction.net's where I went. I also checked MediaMiner.org, but their Code Geass collection spans an entire 3 fics, each one being Euphy-centric. Though one of them was an interesting alternative to her death...

And yes, I noticed that. Among the school population, it seems the top most attractive/most wanted people there are Lelouch, Millay, and Kallen. So Shirley's initial dislike of Lelouch wins her points (the other girls from school must've thought her nuts for that, too). As for something around the corner, I'm just hoping that whatever trial she goes through, she'll choose Lelouch in the end, like she did last time. It really bugs me when people say she doesn't have a running chance because she "doesn't accept the Zero part" of Lelouch, when last time she chose him regardless of his being Zero.

Totally not her fault that he made her forget.
