I was wondering if you had ever watched a series called Oda Nobuna from July 2012 and if so, how you felt about it?

Thanks for the reply. Based on what I saw (signage, etc, people being stopped by staff) it seems to be more strictly enforced. I'm happy to abide by it - if that's what cosplayers want than they should have it - I was just curious as to why, because it didn't make sense to me as a non-cosplayer.

Just a few points:

1) Well, I think that the ending of Kokoro Connect would have worked better for me if Iori had shown more change. In fairness, maybe some of this is an adaptation issue. I read that in the light novel, Iori changes her hairstyle. At least that would outwardly represent a mostly inner change (a change in why Iori is the way she is, if not a change in the way she is).

2) Yeah, I did see a strong contrast between Iori and the other major characters. It's not that I dislike those other major characters, it's just that they're defined by certain characteristics in a way that most real people aren't. You know how I say that Yui Hirasawa doesn't have an "off" switch? Well, it's kind of like that. Taichi, Inaba, Aoki, and Yui don't have many different facets to their personality. What they do have is largely fine, and they're certainly entertaining characters (as Yui Hirasawa herself is). But with Iori, she just feels a bit more real to me due to how there's a lot of inner diversity to her.


And to be fair, I have much less problem with Taichi and his sister than I do with most brother/sister pairs in anime. I do like how I get the impression that Taichi's little sister is just playfully teasing him (which is cute), and that she really does just love him as a sibling.

About the same. Mine was reasonable, helps when you only spend it with the one family member you get along with. My one affliction is a digestive system that feels permanently eviscerated and has been since my appendix surgery over three years ago. I hope you never have problems with yours.

Hard to pin a specific influence for Vi. But she is undeniably cool. Her Neon Strike skin is pretty cool in a more futuristic way. Unfortunately she is freaking weak on release...they need to buff her soon. 39% win rate on ranked for Vi across the LoL community is pretty bad. Quite disappointed since I was looking forward to her for weeks.

I always felt Lulu was the one like Ilya since she loves being mischevous and warping people. Particularly since Lulu now has a Dragon Tamer skin and there's a joke about Lulu and how she ends up being Shyvana's master. Annie only gets to temporarily summon Tibbers.

I thought from that one time a saw a photo of your girlfriend that she was slimmer than that cosplayer. How would that comment make her think she was fat?

Pulsefire Ezreal. Bishie influences for sure.
Vi. Definite mecha influences but the personality is more Western.
Nami. Nami is a Japanese name and means 'wave' so it's clear this one is heavily Japanese influenced.
Lulu. Influence could be anything really but it's the kind of style anime fans could easily like considering anime mascot characters.
Diana. The designers of Diana said the full influence of Diana's design came from the armor sets anime female warriors wore and that Diana is their version of it. Diana's theme song is also the most liked because that much effort went into her creation.
Caitlyn. Cockney-style accent, steam-punk come zany look.
Jayce. Male and links to the superhero/mecha weapon influences are obvious.
Annie. Loli-goth fans would probably like her. And you did say you liked them small. :P

Sadly, those off weeks very much impact my overall regard for the series - both in Sakurasou's case and HSI's case. It's a good comparison.

As for LB, I actually totally loved this episode - and it seems to be one of the most poorly received of them all. I'm pretty much at the point where I think as soon as JC Staff was announced as the studio (which I predicted after the first preview) the die was cast...

A fair bit of LoLs characters are influenced by anime culture so I'm not surprised. One of the ex-devs Shurelyia was a massive weeb afterall Sona who is the most popular support class char is based off hatsune miku. Lux is based off Marisa from Touhou. Ezreal the most common attack damage carry looks like a generic male shonen hero with cloud strife like blond hair and goggles and his /dance emotion is the Haruhi dance. And pink skin Taric, the most popular custom skin because he's so FAB looks like a power ranger.

Riot is really into this whole geek and pop subculture. Twisted fate's /dance has been changed to the Gangnm style dance for e.g.

Explains why there's a massive casual audience for the game as well as having being a top notch professional game which has overtaken even starcraft. $1m or $2m prize pools aren't uncommon.
