Yup, it was to be expected that Taniguchi wouldn't make a decisive comment in either direction, but if you consider how the other magazine scans (apparently) present the events...then there seems to be a contrast. I hope Taniguchi is satisfied leaving things like that.

Don't forget that a lot of editors tend to "assume things". What is really canon in those info? Remember when a mag said that Charles took c.c.'s code?

I only trust taniguchi's words and okouchi

Okouchi gave another interview as well, but apparently a comment from it was poorly translated (post #1471 in the same thread)...and there I think he's saying that Code Geass became a tragedy, not that Lelouch died (it's still in part a tragic end, even if he survived, no?).

I will ask koshimizu for it then, but keep in mind that she is................ a bit depressed about the ending.

Well, now that she has seen the magazines, it's up to her.

I would not tell you what she said to me, sorry , but as expected she was really really sad. Nothing else to say.

I saw that...but I'm not sure if "Au" is meant to be part of the name, and not something else. It's still alright to speculate about that though..."Aurelia" is not a bad name.

XD, I don't think that Au is part of her name, but Aurelia is a very nice name. And funny thing, there is an Aurelia on the forum

I guess it's easier to portray C.C. as a "witch" rather than as a human being with flaws and virtues, no? That she didn't become like the Nun is a very important but subtle different in character...of course, we don't know anything about the Nun, so that could also be a little unfair. Immortals are still different people and their experiences will be even more varied...not all of them react the same way.

    Nothing to add :thumb:

In this case though, it's the slave girl who was having that reaction to the band-aid "ring"...which again makes me wonder if C.C. can remember what she went through at that time (but those memories should still be in the World of C).

I guess she knows what happened. Keep in mind that she questionned herself if she was only his accomplice after the moe c.c. episodes (and imo she didn't only question herself because of what suzaku told to her)

    Hi, mister!

Taniguchi's comment was expected Now I hope the people will stop to try to impose their opinion (that he is dead or alive).

    I'm quite happy

I see. Strange that all these images clearly saying he is dead would come up though if that is what Taniguchi says. I suppose the fact he actually said it is up to us does say something though. Okay, calmed down a little.

It seems there is a comment by the staff (Okouchi I think) where he confirms it as well. Does it really matter though? I remember the director of Cowboy Bebop suggested that Spike could just be sleeping, but that doesn't mean he isn't really dead.

I want them too, but things like the artwork and official listings don't help. I mean, I could make an argument that saying Lelouch Vi Britannia is dead doesn't mean Lelouch Lamperouge couldn't live on.

I'm just not feeling very well at all.

So I guess he really is dead without so much as a doubt and it isn't even open. I was actually feeling good about everything too.

Eh, I don't know what to think. It doesn't make much sense at all, but even so I don't like the sound of the bits with C.C..

Honestly, I wouldn't think to take any info seriously until Newtype comes out on Friday and that has me worried intensely as it is. I just don't want them to confirm the ending one way or another.

It could I suppose, but I would like to see them keep it as ambiguous as possible while still allowing for us to see something interesting. We wouldn't see something like that until about April though.

At the very least, Gundam 00 got off to a nice start and I'm looking forward to that.

I truly hope it isn't true. I just want to be done with all this. Leave it open. A prequel I might be okay with, but just let it end here. Besides, Okouchi said this was the last of it I thought. Still, I feel extremely worried now. I was feeling so much better too.

Me as well. I am fine with my interpretation and I truly hope they just leave it open.

Well, there is that two month gap at the end of the show where Lelouch and C.C. could have talked and he could have said her name. Problem there is that something like that could give stronger hints to Lelouch's fate which I would rather avoid. Eh, we'll see.

I don't go on the forums so I wouldn't know. *sigh* I was afraid of this since I can guess what the rumor is unless it's the even worse thing I am thinking of which would be a continuation since I know some characters that lived would die then like C.C. and Suzaku. I don't trust Kawaguchi's word though over Taniguchi's or Okouchi's.

They were and they did manage to do some good things. It had an interesting cast to say the least and I hope they animate the other novels though we'll see. I have a pretty good imagination so I do hope they leave it open with just this.

Hmm, that is interesting. Maybe they plan on revealing it another way such as one of the Picture dramas or something? We'll see I guess.

I wonder...maybe she thinks he's dead? Which is a valid interpretation, all things considered, but not the only one. Still, I hope she's fine with it, one way or another.

I don't know. All I know is that she was upset about him before the last episode. She didn't really like my "immortal lelouch" theory either at that time. So......................................

It's true that Gundam 00 will take over most of the pages, but I'd hope we do get at least one or two small Code Geass bits of information. It probably depends on what kind of coverage popular shows that have just recently concluded get.

Yup, there are already some things which show up. You can see a comment from Yukana (not from a magazine but from her own blog though) in the c.c. thread.

It sounds very sad when you put it that way, but C.C. still remembers a lot of the things that happened after she became immortal, so it's possible that Lelouch, if he was the most important person for her and she spent her happiest days with him, will have a great impact on her life, possibly more than any other person in particular. That's not easy to forget, especially for an immortal...but it's sad, yes, that time eventually does take its toll even in that case.

C.C. could have tried to do what the Nun did, but not just with Lelouch...perhaps maybe also with Mao, if you consider that as well, even if that was a very different, non-romantic relationship (she was his "mother" figure, after all).

No, his death wouldn't be a happy ending, at least not without having to enter into speculations about how Lelouch died "happily" or something along those lines, but even then it's hard for C.C. to live on under those circumstances.

And that's why I am annoyed when many people blame her for her mistakes. She is 600 years old and still sane. She could have become like the nun, but no she is still sane and still cares for the ones who interact with her. For instance, she was not only nice with Lelouch, but with kallen too (and some others), and kallen had nothing to do with her contract with lelouch.

So, I would say that in 600 years she didn't make a lot of mistakes (as far as we know), but hey, that, the haters don't care, and it's annoying.

Maybe, maybe not. Just tossing the idea out there, since it's one of the possible meanings of why such a coincidental symbol was used. If the "ring" was just a joke, that does seem a little bit sloppy...they could have used the band-aid on another finger, no? Any explanation would be better than none...perhaps if one of the episodes with the band-aid gets an audio commentary, the staff may speak a little bit about that.

Clearly yes. They chose the left hand, the ring finger and placed the band aid exactly where the women put her marriage/fiançailles ring . And in Turn 18, they showed C.C. who was looking at it like if it was a ring. (I can tell you, as a woman, when my mother looks at her wedding ring, she does the same gesture >_>)

Maybe most people don't realize it's out?

Yes, they left the shipping war inconclusive so both sides can just keep tormenting each other. Hm, maybe if they are eventually going to talk about alternate scenarios that were dropped in favor of others, this might pop up then.

You should finish it then. I had plenty of laughs watching it. Clannad was average to me after all the hype it received compared to Kyo's remake of Kanon. People who played the game said After Story is going to contain the best elements of the story though. I'll keep it tabbed, but I don't think I'll follow it week by week. I think Haruhi is going to come after this? Yet another delay of them possibly continuing it... If only they did more than one show at a time, but I guess it's for quality. Yep, FMP is one of my favorites.

Gundam 00's first episode looks pretty good. There's definitely going to be angst and tension. What they did with Saji x Louise is cruel. They were too normal so they decided to 'spice' it up.
