Yea, I guess family has much to do with it huh? My mom and dad never really cared about what I was playing and my sister games too. Her gaming habits are pretty much influenced by me as well

On another note, playing BF3 made me realise something. Usually with games, it's "Meh, I'll get around to the multiplayer...eventually."

With BF3, it's "meh, I'll get around the the campaign...eventually." 15 hours clocked and I haven't touched a scratch of the campaign aside from the opening.

But, but, but, they have underwear!

Honestly I never got that feeling, or probably because I'm always too into the game. I've been playing M18 games in my living room since secondary school, so there's not much else stopping me

And that's where you and I differ. The bigger the screen, the better for me

Anything your computer outputs, you can trust to be at least on par with consoles. Console tech is some 5 years old already, it ain't exactly a stretch for your laptop to be graphically superior. And if you want to play on the big screen, plug in a hdmi cable and your choice of a wireless KB/M or ps3 controller, and you're good to go. Played Fallout on my laptop plugged into the TV and it ran great.

But it has one, which makes it infinitely better than a controller

Since you never played a Bethesda RPG, let me give you fair warning; you'll be spending half your time in conversations and your inventory menu, and will probably spend more time running around to your next objective than fighting. You do NOT want to be holding that analog stick forward for minutes on end doing absolutely nothing and watching the environment roll past. Remember WOW? Now think about how it would be if you had to play it with a controller without an auto run button, and you'll get what I'm trying to say.

Well you should get BF3 at some point, it really is quite great fun. Rolling around in an Abrams and mowing down everyone in sight is pretty awesome. Jets and choppers are a blast to pilot.

And I always thought these open world RPGs were more suited to the PC, if that's anything to go by. Only problem is that they tend to have more bugs than console version, but KB/M control scheme + mods give PC a clear advantage, aside from usually being a lot more graphically pleasing.

Oh wow enjoying BF3 so damn much that this week's anime is taking a backseat. I suspect this will carry out for the next month with Uncharted, Dark Soul and MW3 carrying the torch. I'm only really watching the more important ones to me now, like Fate/Zero and Shana. What's your battlelog ID?

I just have the first season of Baka no Test downloaded, so the episode counts even out.

Think I'll do Baka no Test first. I could use something light-hearted.
