Actually knowledge has not been handled down at all, but Byakuya's stories. Look at his grave, the last of his time who died and nobody engraved his name on nor shaped it.

And that's more or less my idea when I was thinking how could they have lasted for 4k years. Looking at our world the best examples are African tribes, where knowledge was and is extremely low with almost zero evolution. Pygmies age is 100,000 years to name one of the oldest.
Was it a deliberate Byakuya's choice? or just by chance. More likely he just thought as he said that there was no need to handle down any knowledge because Senku would have taken care of it.
Thank you very much for the feedback.

I got myself carried by the spur of the moment as I wrote down my review for Dr. Stone's current episode.

I overlooked the inherent risk that comes with passing down information through oral tradition.

It's neither certain nor guaranteed that knowledge will survive through the ages if the current generation fails to pass that knowlege to the next one due to the most obvious scenario that is the current generation having no knowledge of what to make about the world in the first place.

And, even in the slight chance that they manage to pass records for posterity there's no guarantee either that the knowledge will be tampered with by the future generations to come, or simply they wont' either care at all or know what to make of it.

There are some minor things along the way that are different, so if you are a completist, it is worth reading Erased from the start. But the major difference starts at Chapter 31.

*shrug* To be honest, there were some places around that reacted in a similar way to the whole Kayo getting married thing. Why that even matters is sad....apparently ten years of abuse is meaningless in the eyes of shippers. You'd think if any character deserved to find happiness on her own terms, it was Kayo. But hey, what can you do....I've seen similar sentiments in other titles this season.

Which makes me wonder how people are going to handle titles like Orange and ReLIFE in July.

Thank you for your words/appreciation of Sachiko. She is indeed a wonderful parent/person. Amidst all the arguing about the thriller issues, the shippings and other things - I've been very disheartened that so few people have even bothered to mention Sachiko.

There's something I'd like to send you via PM if that's okay.

I think the more recent fans are used to more shock value or very blatant messages rather than a subtle build-up to something simple but profound. Or that anime fans are rather bloodthirsty these days. *shrug* I have no idea. But thanks for providing some much needed balance to that thread.

^ I wouldn't underestimate LKK's voodoo skills, I already witnessed them once in the A/Z sub forums and I dare say they are pretty powerful. Better let the argument fall
    Wait. What?
Was I amazingly predictive in the A.Z forum once??

Tell me! Tell me! Pretty please?

The manga has closure right after the third season, and it has some pretty great closure, so I recommend it! But you also just take the third season, even though the manga probably gives much better closure (since there's another season's worth of plot that hasn't been animated yet).

I'm still also deciding for this season, lol.
