Yeah, the events of After Story episode 16 (which I would assume is what you're talking about) is pretty high up there in terms of saddest anime moments. I'm kind of interested in seeing what they're going to do with the remaining seven or more episodes though, since it could be very different from the genre conventions.

Didn't watch the show this far, but I guess you're talking about a certain "someone's death" <_<. If so, then yes. I was not particulary fond of that character, but it's sad. TBH, I had a preference to Tomoyo. I even read the manga that covers the tomoko's path. And it was SAD again é_è, but a nice story.

I think a large part of the reason I like Kotomi is that she's a bibliophile. (Random aside: Myself;Yourself also had a bibliophile with an interesting voice in the form of Aoi Oribe - whose voice I found far less annoying than many seem to.)

Well, I myself do read a lot of books, but that didn't mean I am fan of the bibliophile characters. What I liked is her story. What happened to her parents. And also her personnality. Very cute. She reminded me a girl I know. When you talk to her, it happens that she doesn't even hear you o_o, then finally, she will notice you <.<.

I thin i Know which character you're talking about. I watched one episode of this show. It's the little girl with glasses and HUGE breasts? XD

As for Matsuri, I agree, I have trouble imagining anyone else playing her as well as Noto Mamiko did. She did everything from cute (the head pat is an oft-rewatched "warm fuzzy" scene for me) to somber really well. That said... at times I really had trouble buying her as being... what, 200 or so? She seemed a bit too naive at times, and as is usually the case with such characters, I found myself wondering what she did during all that time.

Well, IIRC, she stated that she doesn't consider herself as human, no? It could explain her naive side since she seemed to avoid any contact with persons which could become her friends. IIRC, her first friends were Yorito and his sister. Plus, we didn't even know how she became a Yaka, or even if she ever was human to begin with. I tend to think not since IIRC, it was stated that she "never" saw a blue sky. A mysterious character, but in the end, she discovered Love, and that was cute and romantic ^_^. The ending was sad, but, I don't really know how to explain it, after the tears, was a smile on my face, because it's hinted that now, she has reunited with Yorito and is happy, somewhere ^_^.

It's kind of the inverse of the problem I had with the first EF. I love the Renji/Chihiro plotline, but I always felt Chihiro acted more sixteen than "age twelve plus thirteen hours". Helps cut back on the potential squick, I suppose.

I also wondered that. So it makes me think that chihiro's brain doesn't erase everything completely. About Ef, I also read that they changed some things in the anime. I don't really want to spoil you if you haven't read it (and if you want to play to the game), but I was really surprised when I learned those "changes" <.<

I started to watch Clannad (full first season, then a couple of episode of the second's), and... dropped it when I learned how this is supposed to end. I am not really fond of sad stories, and after Ef, I really didn't have the heart to continue to watch clannad. I really like Tomoya and tomoyo, and Sunohara is also among my favourites clannad character (he is so hilarious, especially when tomoyo is around or because of Tomoya's prank).

I kinda like her role in Clannad, but, she doesn't really stand out (it's part of Kotomi's character though). In Sola, she really did a good job, because Matsuri, thanks to Mamiko, gives the feeling of a really sweet girl, despite the fact that she is a kinda of "warrior" and not really human. As I see it, Matsuri would not have become as popular with a different voice actress. I loved this show. The end when we can see the two cans.... xD. Great anime.

she even played a guy in Full Metal Panic (Shinji).

I didn't even spotted that despite being a HUGE fan of the FMP series <.<

Edit: I forgot to add Rahzel in my favorite black-haired anime girls.
