Denver looked good in Game 1 but one thinks Butler won't remain that contained. Vegas dominated Game 1, Florida got salty about a call and started a brawl. Honestly, Vegas humiliating Florida is beginning to vibe with me. Even if their are the Sin City all-in meat grinder, they haven't made a joke of the rules and fair play anywhere near as much as Florida. And players like Marchessault, Stone and some others would be worthy of a ring. Eichel getting one while McDavid might never is also an unexpected narrative.
Preview vid for My Happy Marriage is giving me some promise of something I'd want to stick with.
My manga and merch arrived on Saturday. A temporarily warm weekend was also welcome. May was terrible here. Literally one of the coldest May on record.

Thankfully Miami got it together. Martin had a huge series and is another viable threat for them with his form. Boston going utterly cold from 3 was beautiful. 5 times ECF in 7 years and no rings. NBA, either Jokic or Butler will get a ring and the season will be worth it.
Vegas felt inevitable. Dallas showed some fight in the last two games but they got obliterated in the finale. I guess if I had to side with someone, Vegas for Marchessault to stick it to the team that cut him for being too small despite playing well. Aside from someone getting their first cup, this final is a double heel program for me.
I might do that revisit titles from 20 years ago plan since the current season whiffed so hard for me.

Well, turns out a yuri VN - Oshirabu - Waifus Over Husbandos - I've been sitting on for...nearly 3 years...is actually quite to my liking. I'll be rolling with that for a bit.

Fair. I'm very over deadpan/slow males, though. Wotakoi is another thing that comes o mind. I never understood the appeal of the male lead in that one. I liked the two main females in that but their fandoms occassionally went well beyond cringe for me. Yamada wasn't bad - it just evoked nothing positive either, which is how I'd also describe Skip and Loafer, Jigoraku and Insomniacs. Oshi no ko...idol obsessed friends have already killed it for me by spoiling the entire long episode and endlessly posting images of each episode. I also despise idols. So it was never going to be my title. Heavenly Delusion, went throughabout 20 chapters then lost interest. The anime isn't doing it any favours IMO but that's me.
Been seeing people don Butler jerseys lately. Denver or Miami winning will do the league good. I guess the NHL is at least having southern markets do well but again, if player safety means nothing and vets want it that way while Betman says everything is fine, it's damn hard to believe in that league.
Things are getting messy over how Dubas departed the Leafs. There's talks Shanahan and Dubas both making power moves, Dubas potentially ending up in Ottawa (who Snoop Dogg might end up owning). And Shanahan says no one in the core 4 is being traded. Which I think is just pretending everything is fine. But given his recent antics, I imagine they're listening to offers until July 1.

Saki was a very typical woman in Genshiken and Kosuke was very game/anime-endeared. Saki certainly came to mind with Akane. What made me admire Saki was that she overcame her initial aversions and always worked to sticking with Kosuke.
Well, it's Florida-Vegas unless a reverse sweep happens so I stopped watching. The one combo which killed my interest. On the other hand, Denver-Miami will make me watch since either Jokic or Butler finally gets a ring.

Jigoraku - he's immortal, I can't be compelled to care even if there's a vengeance motivation. This is going to be all about the deaths - not after that.
Insomniacs After School Club - I can see the appeal, but this is not the scenario that wants me to continue. The Tunnel to the Exit of Summer - The End of Goodbyes had the dynamic and my continual interest along with my empathy. I just wish someone would translate the movie because I have the manga and it's so damn underrated.
Yuri is my Job - Pure diabetes and the voice acting is the tone/pitch that makes me want to throw up. This isn't the kind of yuri I go for.
I looked at the Dangers in my Heart manga earlier in the year. Not my thing.
So...I'll finally look at Ancient Magus Bride S1 to see if S2 would be my thing?
Otherwise...April season didn't do it for me. But given how well Tomo-chan is a Girl turned out for me, I got something out of this year so I'm good. If the two titles from July that had some interest turn out good, bonus. I don't expect to see Apothecary Diaries air until 2024 at this rate, with how deep the announcement lists are already.

I tried Yamada Lv 999. It wasn't bad but...not good either? Just fine? It felt too stripped-down but I guess that's part of its target appeal? I found this scenario went a lot better in Recovery of an MMO Junkie, which had much more impatcful hooks. As for the perspective of a stylish girl struggling with adjusting to an otaku boyfriend but making it work, Saki and Kosuke from Genshiken is still the couple for me. Also, Yamada just reminds me of all the meh/intentionally bland male love interests from titles like School Rumble. I can see the appeal of Yamada but it's empty calories for me.

Welp, I now know that Skip to Loafer and Heavenly Delusion are not my thing. Time to figure out more another night.

Dubas was let go despite wanting an extension. Shanahan pulling a power move using Dubas's family as an excuse is an utter lowblow. Meanwhile, Florida and Vegas are set for a nightmare final of the rule-breakers/cheap-shotters. Yet the amateur world event suspends someone for 5 games for trying that stuff. Says a lot. At least the NBA finals should give either Butler or Jokic a ring unless someone manages a reverse sweep.
League MSI is done, so I should get to some anime this week. Have cleared Tape to Tape with 7 characters now, so want a break from it for a bit. Merch friend coming over this weekend, should finally end the wait.

You may be very apt in regards to the Leafs. The core 4 just unravel in the playoffs. Sure, they finally got past the first round, but spending around half the cap on those 4 who get next to nothing vs Florida and not much better vs Tampa. I expect Matthews or Marner to be traded in the coming months, Nylander might want a premium contract. Dubas, Keefe ans Shanahan all look set to be sent packing for being tied to the core 4. If the Kraken and Panthers have showed anything these playoffs, it's that a team with depth and buying in on their coach's scheme outdoes high end talent teams that are softer.
Hear abou Matt Araiza now being shown to be falsely accused of rape and that the DA isn't willing to prosecute anyone accussed? Hope he gets a chance in the NFL - he doesn't deserve to have his life ruined by a liar. The only thing I would say is that the girl's words and behaviour were major red flags. Her putting out doesn't override that.
Welp, you were right to be non-trusting in Rivers. What a joke of a Game 7. Tatum cracks 50 and no 76er cracks 20? Hopefully Miami deals with them, as Boston is the one team left I don't want to see win. Also a major sting that Tatum could've been a 76er - oh, The Process.
Finally got the mood to finish Tomo-chan is a girl. 9.5/10, my fave romcom ever. Not sure what to go with next.
