We're headed for an early election in Australia in the very near future. And those are rare. Malcolm Turnbull has continued to earn the wrath of increasingly more disgruntled Australians for the internet plan from hell, for screwing with health funding, for trying to end superannuation, some international relations that have degraded. Abbott was responsible for a lot more but amusingly he's trying to derail Turnbull in revenge for being ousted by him.

In 2013, it looked like Labor were on the verge of political irrelevance after being a minority government in their second term. Yet the Liberals, after losing the seemingly unlosable election of 2010, may have trumped that with how they have gone from the one the middle class wanted to the ones that people are disgusted with. That usually takes more than one term. But Labor are looking set to be back in charge. I'm hoping they will change the internet plans to the original fibre networks they proposed years ago. The Liberals refuse to replace it and insist we will be staying on copper...COPPER....

Apparently your current Prime Minister, Trudeau, is really impressing people internationally and most recently with his knowledge on quantum computers. Sounds like you might have a rare case of a worthy leader.

I was wondering how it would compare to Anne Happy for you. I liked Sansha Sanyou better - I like the show's "warmth" - but wonder if my low evaluations for Anne Happy have had an element of self fulfilling prophecy to them because I went into that show expecting it's bizarre sense of humour to come at the expense of connection to the characters. By contrast, I went into Sansha Sanyou with little in the way of expectations either way and came out highly impressed.

One other thing that surprised me about the show - it's based on a manga that has been running since January 2003. It actually predates Lucky Star and Hidamari Sketch, which got their adaptations nine years ago. If I had to speculate why it's being adapted now, it's by the same mangaka as Engaged to the Unidentified, the 2014 adaptation of which sold fairly well.

IMO, it's one of those shows that gets better as it goes. I had similar complaints about the opener, but thought the "Flying Circus" scenes got better later on. Asuka annoyed me less once she started to gain some skill and share screentime with other girls (though Mashiro can also be annoying) too.

I actually haven't watched Nohona yet but I rather enjoyed the other two shows.

It faces really stiff competition from Bakuon and Flying Witch (Kuma Miko too if you can stomach that show's weirdness), but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Sansha Sanyou. I particularly like Youko.

BTW, did you watch Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm last season? Just saw it's sales numbers today - around 1K blurays which is pretty disappointing for what I'd consider probably the best VN adaptation of the past couple years.
