Yeah, I did some research on that after Season 2 for AoT get only 12 episodes and learned about how lean the anime industry really is right now despite the records success (answer, greedy production companies cutting out the studio artists) but I figured if they were going the Altair route they'd have to get up to the Stratocracy Civil War as that marked the real turning point and when the series' started acting on all it's build up, along with having the big battles everyone will want from Altair. You mean Mahmut right? Altair ie "the flying eagle" is just the title paying homage to Mahmut's title as the Golden Eagle :lol: Anyway that's pretty far actually, hope you continue and see witness the great counterattacks that follow in the next chapters, things get quite exciting then

Well I'm fine with anything as long as they manage to complete the series like they promised. Yeah, I think so too but we'll just have to see with Isayama, I'm hoping he's underestimated his ability to wrap up the story again and extends to at least the actual end of next year, since as you say there's a lot to digest and get through with everything having opened up now. Yeah, announcement of PC Cold Steel came out of nowhere at the end of June, hope you'll at least pick up that one as I expect future sales won't really vary for awhile beyond the 10%-15% off it'll get like the 3rd did in its debut week, being a newer release and all. Oh, I thought you would have caught the summer sale that ended July 5th, but I suppose the winter sale will work as well since you haven't gotten though the previous Sky games yet. Yes the PC stuff is doing fine but there's issues with licensing and being able to port the Crossbell games over to PC, etc so we'll have to see, for now the stalled fan translation projects have gotten back on track apparently we're looking at early to mid next year at the very latest for both releases, hopefully anyway. Unfortunate but glad you'll make them a priority, though you might be underestimating the length/amount of time it'll take, I've learned quite extensively that the size of these games is no joke though I made it a point to do the whole talk to every NPC etc. How far are you currently in with the Sky games in any event?

Yeah, first episode was yesterday, just covers the events of the first chapter mostly but it looks visually good so far at least. I think I read one comment section that says the Altair anime season will take up two cycles at least anyway so I conservatively say in the 20ish episode range based on that length of time. Plus promotional material pretty much confirms they'll be covering events all the way up to chapter 35 at least I believe, so it seems they're investing a lot into it but we'll see if there's enough support to carry over into the latter half of the manga currently. Speaking of what chapter are you currently on in Altair?

I sure HOPE they learned that lesson and managed to work out the kinks in the process for AoT, plus comments from the studio suggests they'll animate the whole story, given Isayama has indicated we're in the last story arcs of the manga and look set to finish the series sometime late next year. It certainly fleshes out his side of things and creates some interesting dynamics on the Marley side, makes me curious as to how it all plays out once we return to Eren and co., hope the people of Paradis manage to pull off the miracle win regardless.

Oh and in other good news Shokugeki season 3 is coming out this fall, along with the official anime of Mahoutsukai No Yome. Hope they both get decent episode count/lengths though I won't hold my breathe for Shokugeki after how rushed Ni no Sara was last year, though with the indication they'll keep putting out more seasons to finish the series here's hoping they pace it alright this time...

Hey Dann, sorry for my own delay these past few months. Just been depressed is all I guess, still trying to find something to do with my life. Gotta try to turn things around. Hope things are going well for you at any rate. And yeah heard about Cold Steel, coming out this month and in fact and really looking forward to it. Still trying to finish Sky the 3rd before hand. And I heard about these fan translation projects for Trails to Zero and even possible Trails to Azure as well possibly coming out by the end of the year or next. The president of Falcom also expressed an interest in bringing the games over to America, so while nothings guaranteed I'm hopeful we'll finally be able to enjoy the full Trails experience firsthand someday. Anyway, have you managed to finish the Sky games yet at least? Wanted to talk to you more about those games if you had.

Well it turns out you won't be getting that much of a reprieve after Horizon with Nier being released on March 7th, hope that's enough time on your end. I'm gonna be busy just watching all these when February hits now that For Honor is beefing up its single-player campaign with gameplay footage and its recent story trailer. Had any time to try out Last Guardian to form your own opinion on the matter? I've been delaying checking it out until I finish going through FFXV. Speaking of cool PS4 news I assume you've heard about LoU Part 2? Would be nice if they could, especially with a hybrid system like this one where weird combinations might screw us over if they're locked. Regardless I'm enjoying the recent gameplay footage coming out of ME:A and the combination of the fluid/updated ME combat system with the freedom of an open world environment, curious to see who fills out the remaining crew roster as well.

I think so as well, especially if we have to wait until the middle of the game to actually meet/talk to said family members. Anyway I'm generally liking what I'm seeing thus far and hope a release date/update for ME:A comes out soon now.

Well the recent chapters of Shokugeki delving into the Polar Star and Jo's history are certainly interesting, I figured it was going to be that he was either driven away or he just got fed up and left so it's nice to see one of those scenarios playing out, wonder how/when Jo met Soma's mom now to settle him down from his funk. I also think this Blue competition thing he skipped out on might be the setup for the next arc of Shokugeki once Azami's finally dealt with, looking forward to that in any event along with expanding the character roster/cooking genres to include the world outside Japan hopefully.

Great news about Altair, saw some promos and the animation quality isn't quite as fluid as I'd like so far, still hoping they at least match Arslan when it comes to the combat scenes but regardless I hope this generates more interest/support for the series as a whole. I do hope you get a chance to start reading up on it now though, again I think the scanlators have at least ended their current progress at a nice arc and now would be a good chance to catch up, let me know if do in any event.

Star Wars Rebels hit its mid-season finale so now would be a good time to catch up, Thrawn aside the recent story involving Maul just got very interesting and makes me wonder how they'll use this to resolve Rebels with the rest of the Star Wars franchise now. Also sad news about the actress who played Princess Leia btw, at least from what I heard she finished her scenes for the next movie so that'll be a cool tribute in any event. Makes me lament Han dying in Force Awakens even more now though <_<

Saw both Strange and Moana, enjoyed both quite a bit though it almost felt like Strange was too short and there are so many avenues and questions to be answered going forward now since he a) didn't fix his hands and b) hasn't quite gotten the title of Sorcerer Supreme just yet, hope Mads comes back since I enjoyed his villain and his little dialogue exchange with Strange though I'm looking forward even more to the upcoming confrontation with Mordoe. Regardless I hope Spiderman and Black Panther have as successful a debut now. Moana, if you haven't seen it yet, definitely shot up to one of my top Disney movies, partly cause it was cool seeing Lin-Manuel (writer of Hamilton musical) in it as well as the whole underlying message really resonating with me, hope you've gotten a chance to check it out for yourself and let me know what you thought Oh and one final thing, kind of meh so far on the Ghost in the Shell movie trailer, can't really take the Major's combat costume seriously in live action, looks like pajamas, plus I'm eh on them reinforcing the bi-sexual theme with her since I'm a Kuze/Major fan from Second Gig and I somewhat feel bad for Batou and his obvious crush. We'll see how it goes I guess.

On the bright side this means I can FINALLY finish Origin 4 Also, just fyi but Unicorn got announced for Toonami at 1:00 now, no idea if it's the OVA version of that 0096 one but yea, more Gundam exposure in the U.S. Probably the summer but have to wait and see, wonder what direction they'll go in the franchise this time though.

EDIT: Ah, looked at the tv schedule and it's apparently the 0096 version premiering on Toonami after all, something different for me to watch on top of the dub since I skipped that one.

Well now you've sealed it I gotta finish Akito (I spoiled myself to see if it was safe at the end at least though, so I wonder if we'll see him appear in this new season), I wouldn't be surprised if they introduced such concepts in the OVAs in order to set things up for this third season though. Well as of the latest chapter the urgency for MAKING a decision just got amped up given the new time limit of 13 years for the shifters, wonder if the King power can do something if they can somehow tap into its full potential cause it seems pretty damn cruel to force THAT on Eren when we still don't know if Eren can even USE the power, like maybe they track down this demon dissolve the whole pact for this Titan ability or something. Nice title drop in any event, wondered for awhile what Eren's Titan was going to be called.

I'll take your word for it in that case, need to actually read Mistborn before I think about tackling the other stuff to form an opinion on the matter. That is the worry given how hit or miss a lot of alternate movie adaptations turn out to be though Brandon is pretty popular so maybe they can ride that like Tolkien or GRRM. Anyway, the new desktop I got is called the CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8020A Gaming Desktop, I got it off Amazon along with an accompanying monitor, just about fit my budget too so I'm counting my blessings. Again I've been so busy/tired though that I haven't set it up yet. Hopefully by next week I'll have put it together now that my temp job is coming to a close.

Seems like it takes about a year or two but hopefully in celebration of TS 3rd coming over they'll have a sale on its release date, that's what I'm counting on anyway once I purchase the whole series on steam when it happens. Good, no rush given it probably won't be until the beginning of 2018 at the earliest before Xseed manages to import CSIII now that we have a fall 2017 date from Falcom for Japan. And yeah I've seen the news about CSIII, looks like a whole new cast asides from the main protagonist with appearances here and there from the original but I won't delve too deep into anymore details to avoid spoilers. As I've said before I'm okay with it being PS4 exclusive (especially if it allows them to upgrade the game even more with no more hardware limitations) so long as they somehow manage to carry over the save data with our decisions from the previous games on both the PS3 and Vita especially. Speaking of Ao and Zero though it doesn't look too good about a localization anytime soon based on some emails from an Xseed admin posted on gamefaq boards, but at least there's a fan translation patch for Zero being worked on which I'll hopefully catch on youtube at some point along with a blog that's summarizing Ao. Given how long this seems to be off I hope if Xseed ever does the Crossbell games they do the Vita remake version, that might be easier than converting the old PSP version to Steam like they did the Sky trilogy as well.

EDIT: Scratch the Evo Vita import prospect, just read a comment that another company, not Falcom, is in charge of those and apparently they want to be paid extra for the license which a small publisher like Xseed is unlikely to do, guess all we can hope for is if they get the stick out of their butts and lower the price someday once they've exhausted selling in Japan or Xseed someday gets around to converting Zero/Ao to Steam in the lull after the Cold Steel series is finished. Again here's hoping that fan translation patch comes through for Zero and hopefully Ao as well at some point <_<

Well as of chapter 7 of Vol. 4 of RWBY things have proceeded at an interesting turning point for all of our protagonist, a lot of hints but now I wonder what kind of revelations they have in store for us in the upcoming second half. Let me know how much you're caught up on it and we can dive into more detail the next round.

Got it, but again I think the more conventional plot of the first Mistborn trilogy that helps introduce all the metaphysical elements of that world would be better suited for a movie if they choose that series. Again I don't know enough about the Cosmere to be sure what would suit the big screen though so I'll trust your judgement on the matter and hope they do a good job. Any luck getting a hold of White Sand yet btw, it's actually a rather quick read thanks to being a comic so it shouldn't hamper you too much for time I think.

Can't see them ending on that kind of downer note for the rebels though, plus the last few seasons have been 20 episodes plus and we're only hitting episode 10 by this coming week, I'd really like it if we could stop it with the fillers and move the main story with Thrawn a bit further along before the end.
